- This was a very big day, mostly involving the Ferrymead Railway and their steam locomotive 'F 13'. She was celebrating 150 years since she first entered service (although she was actually built in 1872), and is now the oldest working steam locomotive in New Zealand. Besides the green 0-6-0ST, a pair of 'D' class 2-4-0 tank engines were also running, with D 16 being a visitor from the Pleasant Point Railway.
Before heading over to the heritage line near the Port Hills, I filmed two KiwiRail services. The first was a freight train with DXR 8007 up front, and the second was the TranzAlpine passenger train calling at Rolleston (with DXCs 5212 and 5229 on the point).
There's a fantastic variety of motive power on show at the Ferrymead Railway and Heritage Park, with some of the (in my opinion) most unique catches including the following:
ex-Brisbane tram No. 236
C 864
D 16
DC 4876
DG 772
'Ganz Mavag' EM 1373 / ET 3373
EO 45
W 192
WD 357
Some of those engines, such as the DC and EO, are future exhibits for the National Railway Museum of New Zealand.
With thanks to Rolleston Rails (www.youtube.com/@RollestonRails) for providing some footage for use in this video, and shout-out to the other railfans I met at Ferrymead:

(Can't remember meeting any other CZcamsrs besides these three).
No problem man Glad to help you out :D
Cool meeting you
Love the giant windows
On which vehicle?
Are they going to get the super Ganz set operating again
well they have done clearance checks but the brakes are screwed
Do you still play Train Sim Classic, as there some lovely new models from Wayside Works and he's been working on a total revamp, of the Manning Wardle K class for his 2 year anniversary. Also, 4ths Games will soon be releasing the Phoenix Developments Neilson box tank pack, and he's working on another potential pack for the LNER Y6 to include GER liveries
Yes, I still play TSC from time to time, and I'm looking at reviewing the Y6 fairly soon.
also like you said it dose look like it can still run but from Cayleb who is a member of DTG it needs an engine overhaul
The tram n.236 look like europian style well we looking
