เยี่ยมครับ แต่ตัวนี้สามารถพัฒนาต่อยอดได้อีกในส่วนของการควบคุมเวลาในการอาร์ค โดยตัดชุดแบต และ รีเลย์ 1 ออกไปได้1ตัว โดยเปลี่ยนเป็น ic ในการควบคุมหน่วงเวลา และใช้ตัวต้านทานแบบวอลลุ่ม ติดที่หน้าปัดแทน เพิ่มหม้อแปลงตัวเล็กๆ เพื่อจ่ายไฟเลี้ยงวงจรแทน

super circuit idea i love it. This is extraordinary and very simple. we can connect to 10 rotary switch and connect all the capacitors and mark them with seconds. I love it.

Excellent concept, a very good idea to use those relays in the circuit. You also can use a 6 position rotate selector for choice between 6 different capacitors.

Often wondered about making a spot welder. I have been told that how long the power runs for is critical. Though not an electronics guy this circuit appears to use two relays. They appear to flipflop - one on and one off. One allows a capacitor to charge and when the pulse button is pressed this turns off ie NO ((open circuit) open contacts) and this allows the capacitor carrying charge to close the second relay contacts for a brief period allowing the main transformer to run for a few milliseconds. He did not know how long the heating pulse for the copper contacts was necessary and so he brought the capacitor contacts and capacitor outside to the front panel. This means that the bigger the capacitor value in microfarads the longer the heavy current will run through the electrodes. He demonstrates this with the line of welds. Thicker sheet would need longer and hence bigger capacitor values to get weld penetration (not shown). This is instead of complex timer switches. The cable I guess is from a car shop and looks expensive. It is both thick and contains many fine strands. One or two twists are used where the secondary coil was removed. The transformers are usually from old microwaves with the secondary coil cut off (non mains side). He uses acetone to dribble between the clear acetate sheet (acrylic or Lexan or Perspex - all the same) to weld it. I think that this has to be left overnight to give a secure and invisible joint. Quicker glues are available. An interesting design I will have a go.

I built one and it works well. Use a 12v, 1A transformer with rectifier instead of batteries.

Basically, He using 2 Relay and capacitor to act as an analog switch clicker for microwave transformer the more uF in capacitor the more time to arc !!
Because it's a tank circuit, the cap is changing both # of pulses and length of pulses.
Would be interesting to see it on an oscope.
