    I have to give them credit. First off to have a set up that new and that expensive and to not have any loans? That's impressive. Also the fact that they don't haul cheap loads. That's another amazing thing because so many people pull cheap freight.

    So you mentioned it was ram 5500, but it is actually ram 4500. Ram 4500 max towing capacity is 21k. That trailer alone is 13k plus 6 cars on it is minimum 20k. So that is 33k

    • @hotshotnewengland
      @hotshotnewengland  Před rokem +4

      By stating that the Ram 4500 only tows 21k and not a range of 21k to 29k that tells me you only used Google for you information. Go read the brochure from Ram and they will show you different numbers depending on your differential, trans, 4x4..... and etc. Also DOT doesn't look at GCWR they only look at wether or not you are over your axle rating which with this trailer you wouldn't be. I have hauled a GCWR maximum of 40k lbs on my 1999 F450 7.3L and the recommended GCWR by Ford of that specific truck was 26k lbs which every human who owned one has towed more than that.

      @@hotshotnewengland only thing is a real truck is safer and air brakes frame size and all the other parts will not wear out nearly as fast on a big rig. I know this because I used to car haul with my own authority. So I know the game. I also know the best feeling I had was moving into a big rig. The safety alone is worth considering. That being said I will admit that new 5500 trucks are a different breed but still not close to real big rig trucks

      I have just converted over to the semi truck world and I love it but what he does "can't" be done with a full size rig. It's not legal to have a full size rig in NYC where he delivers. To be honest even he is probably over lenght I assume for NYC but it's a lot shorter than a full 53' with a tandem truck.

      What makes this NoT 🥴 a real truck? Kill the goofy comments and get with the new age. These 3500's - 5500's are doing damn near the same loads as semis and at the end of the day they can drop a trailer and drive into a Wendy's drive thru or take their truck to the mall.

      @Darrien Graham people feel threatened by hotshot trucks. I'm not into hotshot trucks anymore for what I do but I don't knock anyone who does 👊💪. Hotshot trucking is a great way to get into the trucking industry which is how I did.

    All I see is two lanes being taken up with no fueling going on. Do the interview in the parking area…but you’re too cool for that huh!

      You sound really fun to hang out with 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. My setup is 83' long and doesn't fit at 99% of truck stop parking including this location. Was anyone waiting to put diesel?

      I personally prefer a single axle tractor like mine. More comfort, safer and less money 💪👊. As we all know though there are thousands of these type of hotshot setup all over the US 🇺🇸
