    I have always thought this. It’s just not worth it. Get your CDL folks. Plane and simple. Good video my guy !

      Some people aren't eligible for CDL, which is a topic for another video but yes there are zero reasons to not have a CDL if you are eligible for one. 👊💪🇺🇸💰

    Question. Is the reason these drivers in the wrong you're talking about, are they trying to avoid a CDL or avoid insurance for the higher GVWR?

  • @SouthernRotors
    @SouthernRotors Před 2 lety +1

    My opinion is to never derate a trailer unless you have no other choice, just buy the right truck, not every application needs a 14000 gvwr truck for running non cdl, in fact you rarely need that, if you do get a cdl.

    You are overloading the rear axle of the truck if you are putting 7k on a 3500.

  • @darrenrich1549
    @darrenrich1549 Před 2 lety +1

    Doesn't matter.... if you have the manufacturer give you their sticker and the registration at 12k, 13k, or 14500 in my case. You are 110% legal. Californikstan non cdl derate them to 9990, cuz any non cdl can only tow max .

  • @All-Miles-Matter
    @All-Miles-Matter Před 2 lety +1

    people are nuts. Its very SIMPLE. If you de-rate a trailer to 12k..the trailer axles CANT READ OVER 12K ON THE SCALES. period...no argument or discussion. Tow piglet got all these guys fucked up out here! Its comical.

  • @hotshot_changinglife
    @hotshot_changinglife Před 2 lety +2

    Because people are stupid and not thinking. No one should be running hotshot with a dually unless they have a have a class A CDL....see plenty of idiots doing non CDL hotshot with dually and derating their trailer... people derating there trailer and still wanting to put 10k on there Deck which is wrong....I have 08 dodge ram and a 14gn Big Tex 28+5 gooseneck... people need to study before they get into this business.
