I am from Turkey. Thanks for this video. I want to be scout. Here the situation is harder but I think I should start with lower divisions as you said. That is the best way to show myself.

If you are ascout, do you need safeguarding courses and enhanced CRB checks etc.
Like you would have to if you were doing a coaching course.
Thanks for the great video..and how about the Professional football scouts association (PFSA) courses. What do you think??
Seeing alot of people take this course, certainly run by experienced scouts. However never known a club to ask if anyone has ever done this course.
Id rather stick to FA Talent ID courses

About the FA courses: I am resident in Switzerland and I have noticed that almost all of their courses are now online (due to pandemic) but if I try to register on the site I am asked for a residence code.
As far as you know, can foreigners access their training courses?
of course I have consulted the F.A.Q section.

When you're starting out and you have no one to scout for what do you recommend I do with the scout reports? Who can I show to get advice who can I talk to in order to improve before I'm integrated in a club
Well you can approach a couple of clubs not necessarily big clubs you can start it from the small clubs if your players improve big clubs will come for you.

when you say start at your local club, does that mean non league clubs and if so do they need scouts
Yes contact your local non league club, however, if you are looking at being a youth scout contact your local pro clubs and see if they need any volunteer youth scouts

Do scouts ever get full time paid jobs for a club, or is it always bouncing around from clubs to clubs

Yes but you wont be employed fulltime with no experience, you usually have to start as a volunteer

I have a important question
Is scouting mostly about finding Young talents or Can you also have a role to find first team players
Scouting is about identifying potential new players/transfer targets. This is not only for youth academies but also for senior teams aswell.
