Ok for the most part I agree because the league is subsidized. I also think Hard work should come before raises and big money. This situation is exactly like Brock Lesnar making 7 figures for his ufc fights, if you are bringing a viewing audience to whatever you are doing you get paid more money even if you’re a rookie. Caitlyn Clark owns the top 4 or 5 ever watched female sporting events 3 of them were this year in the tournament. I think the only event in the top 5 is a women’s soccer World Cup final that she’s not a part of.
Sold out every Iowa home game the last two years and every road game. She’s a game changer and should be compensated. She’s going to end up making the wnba solvent in 2 seasons.
I mean you could take the Russell Wilson comment as praying for the day when the wnba gets better so that the ladies can make some money, but that will be a long time from now if they don’t figure it out
People are going to watch the first game Caitlyn Clark is in to see how she does in the “pros”. Then…🤷♂️
