The notching done in those joists by the heating plumber look like a textbook demonstration of where joists should *not* be notched. As well as weakening the floor, it will have made it more bouncy and increased noise transmission to the flat below.

Dear tom, you're not a DICK, we love you. You are the urtext electrician youtuber. Thanks for making this video, without the camera guy! Glad to see someone else just getting footage from just after the new year break out on youtube. I have thought a lot about your comments on recent weekends when i feel like you quite at a loss, because of the tendency of self employment to not switch off. Luckily, though, I go to church which forces me to switch off. But it was my birthday on Sunday and I chose to go on a night call out, ended up crashing the van into someone and then getting stuck in grass/mud and having to jack the van out wheel by wheel putting unistrut and OSB under each wheel. The turf looked like someone'd been doing donuts on it after I drove off, and had to give the VW driver £100 to keep him off my insurance. My birthday too! What an idiot to go out at that time.... all the best for the new year. Hate it when dickheads staple hardboard to floorboards.

Batteries last ages too which is a bonus for sites with no power!

Or winding the garage door spring and counting the turns in my head and all of a sudden they want to start asking questions.

Waiting until 9 before you start sinking boxes? You're a nice chap! In Vienna you can be happy if they start at 8 instead of 7!
Those infrared panels are some kind of weird fashion trend but I'm not sure what to make of them. The first people to talk about them were definitely whackos so I mis-trusted them right away but these days more and more people recommend them. My only personal experiences was in a restaurant, which was actually nice and toasty - until they shut off the heaters half an hour before closing or so. It got cold pretty much immediately! The bog didn't have a heater and was freezing too.
Obviously they require a clear line of sight between the heater and any people to be warmed, so they aren't ideal for rooms with plenty of large furniture pieces like the book shelves in that store. Economy-wise you need to consider that they need to be on all the time, so if they're half the power but on twice as long they'll use the exact same amount of power as a regular electric radiator. If they're on more than twice as long, they're actually more expensive to run. Who knows? I don't like electric heating in general, electricity has better uses than being turned into heat.

I’ve been a long time sub and admirer of your work and I though of you to wire in my new cooker when it comes on Saturday? Short notice but it only needs a new outlet for the wire as the old one has broken and a new piece of wire to go from the outlet to the new cooker. The house has up to date wiring so it literally needs just the wire and outlet putting on. Would this be something you’d do for a reasonable price? So I know it’s done properly as the old wire fell out from the screws not being tight.

AM is going to be switched off in the next 18 months or so, but FM is going to continue for a good few years yet.
