I love this channel because of your honesty and your willingness to talk about things not many people are comfortable talking about, especially people who are disabled, myself included. Thanks for putting yourself out there. You’re doing great things
Thank you! I'm an open book lol! I spent enough years feeling ashamed and I'm glad my honesty empowers others!
First off, that bra looks amazing! Love the design. The pink pairs both looked the most comfortable for you. Always love your honesty ❤
thanks for watching! we need to have coffee!
@@EmpoweredPara absolutely!
Lady, you amaze me. I have never seen anyone with such a wonderful outlook on life. My hats off to you
You need to hang out with different people if you don't know anyone aa positive lol! I'm not special lol. There are lots of us out there!
I'm proud of you I am handicapped too I have cerebral palsy I have had over 70 plus surgeries since I was born
wow that's a lot of surgeries!
@Empowered Para Yes I have also had surgery to help me to be able to pee because I was born a premee I wasn't fully developed so I have to have a procedure called a cystoscopy it's to dilate my urinary tract and after surgery I usually have to wear a Foley catheter for 2 to 3 weeks after
Wow, I think you look totally amazing!! PS I have now watched through every single video start to finish. You cover so much cool information and fun daily experiences. Can't wait to see what you're up to next. Have a fantastic day!!!
Seriously! You're the best! That's so cool!
Thanks for posting Brittney!:)
You're welcome!
This video is so timely! I just recently tried Thinx period underwear for incontinence issues! I traveled from Arizona back home to Vermont and it was absolutely amazing the piece of mind that I had during the very long day (14hrs.) My incontinence is rarely a full bladder empty but because of prolapse and issues from my stroke, when I leak, I don't feel it. I've had some really mortifying moments where I could faintly smell urine and realized it was coming from me. And of course the wet spots . . . For my personal needs, the period underwear is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
Nothing worse than realizing your the one that stinks 😕 lol. It's funny afterwards, but devastating in the moment.
I just love your videos. You are so real and I know you are helping others so much. I grew up where everything was hush hush. You didn’t talk about these things because you were made to feel shame. I encourage you to write a book that includes fact with humor. You can do this. Think about it. ❤️🤗
I am thinking about it! I'm still finding my voice I think:)
I absolutely respect your honesty and straightforwardness, I had a colonostomy done 6 years ago as I got very tired of sitting in 💩, back in the day I used to wear, what are called pull-ups in Australia, they’re like very thick paper underwear lol, fortunately I only leak pee on the rare occasions I have a bladder infection or drunk hahahaha and that’s because I forget to Cath, but once again I really appreciate your videos ❤
We do have pull ups here. Sometimes that's just easier than underwear. I have lots of friends with colonoscopies and they all love them. I think someday I'll go that route.
@@EmpoweredPara I would never ever have my colonoscopy reversed, not a chance in the world
@@johnmaude5065 you mean colostomy...or am I not knowing something?
@@johnmaude5065 I know of someone else who says the exact same thing. His bowel routine was just too much.
@@morgancalvi6675 my fat fingers lol, yes colostomy is what I mean
Your an amazing woman... God bless you and your family... it's great how you help people with your life...and your honesty...
Thanks!
As you mentioned in this video, my wife and I would love to see a video by you on Body Image, Body Confidence, and Body Acceptance. I think hearing from you would help us, especially my wife, even if we wish we'd seen it years ago. The negative thoughts still lurk in our brains. It might be easier as we age, but maybe we just bury the thoughts more. Like you said in another video, "Function over Form". At this point, we are just happy to still be alive, to have survived bad things, and still being able to do some enjoyable things, even if parts of us no longer function like they once did. We are happy (or should be) for what we still have, not concerned about what we have lost. I think we would learn from how other people get to the point of acceptance. Someone once told me that as much as they thought they accepted their body image (for some it is a new-ish body image, for others it is the way its been since birth), they couldn't handle moving past a wall of mirror-like windows - their body didn't look like the way that they thought of themselves, or that they didn't want to be reminded of the fact. That admission really haunted me.
I think their is a different between accepting (being able to look at yourself with love) and ignoring. Sounds like your friend ignores their body. I'll do a video on this for sure!
@@EmpoweredPara I’m going to think hard about this one; I don’t quite get it….
I always wondered this myself. I will stay with the pads. Thank you for this video!!
WhenI have a dream that I can remember I am standing and walking, sometimes dreams are weird and they leave my memory in an instant, some others I’ll probably never forget. Great video✌🏻😎
I'm always in a wheelchair in my dreams bit can walk if I want to. Weird lol!
@@EmpoweredPara Interesting. I never use my crutches in my dreams and even asked my husband and son, and they said the same. I love hearing other people's perspectives.
Dear Brittany: Thank you for candor. (This is your 80 year old man friend again) There is no need for you to explain or worry about what - you think - your body looks like. Take it from this “ expert on feminine pulchritude” that you look wonderful - your face is so very pretty - and your soul is absolutely beautiful ! I am not wheelchair bound (yet), but I use a walker to help me avoid falling. Thank you for talking to me, helping me grow older by helping me to be be more accepting of that truth. 😊 Gordy
Love that you're still trying to improve yourself at 80 Gordy!
Knix also has pads that can go in and our is the panties. I think the high absorbent underwear with the pad insert would make the most sense. So you can keep the underwear on and have them as extra back up for leaks and use the pads they have like you do your disposable ones? 🤷🏻♀️ I think that would be good for swimming they do have bathing suit bottoms too! Cool review! ❤
Girl staaaahhhhpppp! You look great!
lol thanks! Always honest with you guys so just saying what's in my head, haha. I promise I tell myself that I'm beautiful right after my brain says I'm fat lol. It's well trained to say negative stuff. I'm retraining it though!
You may not be able to stand in these undies buuuuut you got them lovely defined shoulders! Mad respect for doing an undie hall on the internet, I really appreciate how open you are with the good and bad.
thank gosh for the shoulders, lol. Makes up for my ugly butt lol
I want the green!
Have you ever tried using a Foley Catheter and if so how did you like it?
Look at how red your face went when you mentioned the thong. 😂😂😂😂. X
Dont worry about your parabelly, poop or piles. You're pretty perfect to anyone watching.
Awe thank you!!!
You are a beautiful lady! So proud of you.
Thank you!
Many women have a similar belly because having a C section cuts through the abdominal muscles. Maybe you can consider that your belly did it's job by stretching to give you 2 beautiful children???
I've seen advertisement for other brands created for the same issues and the reviews say similar to yours. It's a great idea but isn't easy to solve.
The higher panties aren't a good proportion for you because you look like you have a short torso. I think everyone looks at their bodies and see things that they wish were different! Then, if that thing was changed we'd find something else we wished we could change! It's just the way we are wired!
Have a great week. Denise
Yeah I think it's impossible to make something that works for everyone lol! I definitely tell myself that my belly did its job! It's still doing its job digestion my food and holding my organs! It's just bullshit conditioning that makes us think our bodies are something to criticize.
We now have a Knix Shop here in Winnipeg.
I can't stand up either but you look really good 😊
thanks!
Idk about this things; the bladder could hold too much liquid for such a small piece of absorvent material on the panties; i think the use of absorvent pads seem to be the best solution yet, that could be used together with the absorvent panties to add an extra layer of protection that be comfortable and protects your cushion and clothes.
Yeah pads are the way to go for me!
For a wheelchair girl you have an amazing body. Now my roids are nothing like what you described, they still can cause discomfort.
lol yours are better or worse?
Nice, thanks for sharing
you're welcome!
I’m a t5 incomplete. How do you get. Any help for chronic pain? My drs have let me lay in a room now for 3 years. Sensitive to point just touching me hurts. Think it’s time I give up. As this isn’t a battle I can win 😢. Love to all
You deserve to have doctors who take your quality of life and pain seriously! Sending hugs during this difficult time!❤️
I use the internet and do my own thing for my pain. I don't find doctors super helpful for chronic conditions. I like natural solutions though so I don't need doctors for that
“I’m sitting here with no pants on.” said Brittany. This time I heard it right instead of the time I thought I’d heard her make the same comment about her sleigh ride adventure. She said at that time “I have snow pants on. 😆 Sounded like no pants to me. 🤣 🐨 🦘🦘 💖
😂😂😂
lol said it just for you haha!
@@EmpoweredPara I made sure your comments were loud and clear this time Brittany, unlike the time of your sleigh ride adventure. 😁 However I must admit, at the time, I thought you were an extremely brave woman to venture into a freezing outdoor activity minus pants. LOL 🥶. 💖 🐨 🦘🦘
The all green set I thought looked great on you like a laundierwear set and not period underwear
Thanks!
I really admire how comfortable you are with your body and even proud in a way of your body and disability. Very cool.
I haven't always been proud! Honestly, it helps making videos lol. The more I see myself on camera the more comfortable I get in my own skin!
This answer is just great and the closest, I believe, to our reality! We need to see us over and over again in order to really get used to... us! Therein lies the acceptability of each and everyone's "new" format. One thing that helps is to remember to fall in love with parts of our body that remain as cute as before or even better as we go on throughout our lives. For example, the person who has the most beautiful, talkative, or even unique eyes should remember to admire what God gave her/him... it wasn't meant ONLY for others to admire... it is for us also!... And we all have so many individual parts which would demand our appreciation but we tend to ignore whereas there still is a great beauty here! Get my drift? Power to each individual!@@EmpoweredPara
@@EmpoweredParajust know that you are LOVELY.
Interesting video. We were surprised to get another video so soon. As an A-B male, maybe I shouldn’t comment. But I don’t think you should be so concerned about your Para belly. But then I am old, and “things settle” as we age. “Gravity - thou are a pain!” Lol !
Yeah gravity lol. I'm ok with it really, just stupid things my brain still says. I don't listen though!
@@EmpoweredParaI’m really glad to hear you say that. Live happy!
One other thing, and maybe this is only because of my age, and/or my lifestyle, but a lot of people see a lot of A-B people in a sitting position as well. I am more likely sitting than standing when people see me.
what pads do you use? most cause me to have cystitis
Poise
I think you look pretty good. i wish
i weighed less, I was a size six 5 yrs. ago and now sz 16. trouble with walking, standing and sitting.
Knix have different absorbancies? So would the heavier one be better for you?
Yeah maybe. I still think that having to change the underwear when they're wet is annoying lol
@@EmpoweredPara Same with a 'depends' like pull on....and they cost more than a pad.
Good point, all that squirming, for 5 mls of fluid!!
@KimmyGibson Yeah pads just seem like the most efficient option!
Feel embarrassed asking but what about pooping pants? Like how absorbable/stretchy are they for that?
I didn't test that out lol. I never have decal incontinence so I'm not the best one to ask about that. Sorry!
@@EmpoweredPara thankyou!
your still beautiful no matter what
Thank you!
ya im like these pants look good sitting down i wander what they look like standing up which dosent really matter. i never leek when im out but when im in my comfy chair and burp or fart thats when it happens so i just keep a hospital pad on my comfy chair all the time.
yeah gotta love those pads!
Nice😊
I had my SPC put in yesterday.
Is this your first one?
@@EmpoweredPara yes. I never had my bladder properly managed since my accident...but now it's basically just not under any kind of control anymore.
Most women have a belly, but you are slightly slumped in the chair which forces you stomach to balloon out a bit. When you stand up it disappears. You are looking fabulous for a young mum. When you get to menopause things might change as they do for most women. Enjoy what you have because it’s temporarily gorgeous. Love from Australia. ❤️🐨
Yes I try to remember than anyone that's slouching would look like they have a belly lol.
I can stand up and have the same belly. I'm very small, but after having 6 babies, the belly is the same lower ponch. Ending with twins, my stomach muscles retired.
lol I love that description 🤣
Brittney i love how open you are about everything that video was amazing. i know you said you wont were the thong, but i thing you should put it on with the matching bra next time you hit the hot tub you and your hubby just chilling out.
lol thanks. I don't think they will make an appearance though. I just can't get over the string having no home I'm my absent butt Crack haha
@@EmpoweredPara you are so funny lol.
@0:03 Woo HOO!
lol
First: Walking chicks have a ponch down there too. I always told my female models to never stand completely sideways because their uterus makes it nearly impossible to flatten their stomachs below the waist. I mean chicks with a six-pack too. Second: 30 or 40 leg-lifts every morning will help that. 😉
As a matter of fact I managed the model in the contest video on my channel and you can see what I mean when she turns--and she got a playboy shoot among other things.
I'm not gonna be doing 40 to 50 leg lifts anytime soon so I guess I'm stuck with the ponch lol
Don't worry about your para belle Brittney you still look good.
Thanks Terry!
a big NO to that products !!!
Why oh why can't someone (maybe you) just invent a urethra 'plug'.....otherwise, I may just need to buy stock in Poise.
lol like a drain plug ! Now that would be useful!
So they won’t hold a full bladder pee if you happen to not be able to hold it
nope not even close
@@EmpoweredPara aw ok I was only curious is all I’m sure it’s cheaper for girls to use period underwear and just free bless then to keep buying tampons and pads
Beautiful lady. You could model those.
The bra is 🔥
What about unwire with a zipper in it?
I have a few like that!
Why don't wheelchairs come w/ a porta pot built in. ? You could go anytime, anywhere and then empty at your convenience..Gallon size would probably do for the day out, it sounds like there's a market for it.
Gross lol. Not sure anyone would want to poop in their wheelchair lol
@@EmpoweredPara -- At least an easy way to pee.. The door slides shut and keeps odor in...
I bet Brittany’s “head game” is on point!!! Being paralyzed from the chest on down means it’s basically the only thing she can do to please her man independently
lol.....I'll never tell!
Well, Joe seems plenty happy........
you know that underwear sounds like plastic!!
Your belly is beautiful.
I try to believe that daily! it's a work in progress!
@@EmpoweredPara You better believe it, because it is true!
Very cute belly ❤
You’re beautiful 😍 16:42
Thanks!!!
I love your belly!!!
