Asalam alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. I made this video as my attempt to support anyone who is very new to learning the prayer and struggling to learn each part using transliteration.
Personally, it took me years to become even slightly accurate in pronouncing all of the Arabic within the prayer.
There are some reverts that come to Islam via their own research and do not have access to a teacher or a local masjid and without that, it is very difficult to learn.
Disclaimers
1. If you have access to someone who can properly teach you how to pronounce the Arabic within the prayer, my advice is to learn from them and just use this video to support you.
2. I advise that you watch my previous video first (Beginners Guide to Islam Part 4: Learning the Prayer | Al-Salah)
• Beginners Guide to Isl...
3. I am not an expert in the Arabic language, nor am I a qualified teacher (I am simply trying to provide a video that I would personally have found extremely useful in my early years of reverting to Islam)
A reminder of the conditions of the prayer
- Intention
- Facing the Qiblah (direction of prayer)
- The timing (This is for the 5 obligatory prayers) (not for optional - although certain times when you don’t pray)
- Covering the 'awrah (private area)
Male ‘awrah. This is the ‘awrah of one who has reached the age of ten and above, between the navel and the knee.
Female ‘awrah. This is the ‘awrah of an adult woman. All of her body is ‘awrah when praying, except for her hands and face. The scholars differed with regard to showing the feet.
- Tahararah
Ghusl if you are in a state of major impurity and Wudu if you are in a state of minor impurity
- No impurity (Najasa) on body, clothes or place or prayer

Asalamu alaykum, I mention in this video that there is a video for how to say the opening dua before reciting, that should be uploaded in the next few days insha Allah.
Im currently working in Israel and have decided to take my shahada here sooner
Alhamdulilah
May allah make your journey easy
I learned how to say everything perfectly, best video for muslims
Asa Brother. I am a revert single Mom. I reverted while still married to my non-muslim husband. I struggle with teaching my kids about the deen due to the fact that I am still learning myself & I co-parent with their Dad, so I only have them half the time. Plus, I work, too. So, it is difficult for them to go to the Masjid. Alhamdulilah, Allah is merciful as my kids identify with being Muslim. I try to take them to the Masjid every chance I get. This Ramadan, my goal is to teach them how to make salat on their own, ISA. Your channel will help me with that, ISA.
Wa alaykumu salaam, may Allah grant you ease and help you in your situation 🤲🏻
I'm learning as well and I would love to have a muslima to learn and grow with Mash Allah
Ramadan mubarak!
Asalamu alaikum I reverted 16 years ago and I was married with children. He didn’t convert. The children will learn to adjust and May Allah keep them on the path of Islam

I'm new to islam and been trying to learn how to make salat inshaallah
Welcome to Islam ❤
Words alone cannot express how grateful I am for this video !
The only one who actually explains the pronunciation word by word so well !
Thank you so much ❤
Just a note as an assistance :
The orthography you see is phonetical meaning it's like writing a whole arabic phrase in the American phonetic System (i.e Congratulate as Con-gra-che-late ...etc )
So :
Bismillahir rahmanir raheem
is not made from three arabic words (Bismillahir + rahmanir + raheem ) NO ! .
The Actual phrase is as follows :
بسمِ اللهِ الرّحمانِ الرّحيمِ
Bi'sm(i) Allaah(i) Al-Rrahmaan(i) Al-Rraheem(i) .
( letters in parenthesis () are the Case endings , the good news is they aren't necessary if you want just to speak arabic but they are if it's a delicate text and no text is as such as : The Holly Quran )
But since arabic is a glutinous language meaning that when words are standalone they are pronounced simply as in other language . but when they are in a phrase they tend to be somewhat like chained togather in pronunciation by droping some hard first letters
For example :
Bi = is pronounced as " Bi " simply .
Ism = is pronounced just as " Ism "
Allah = simply "Allah "
But in a Sentence :
Bi Ism Allahi
Respectively (With) (Name) (Allah)
Will be read as = Bi'smil lahi .
Making it easier to pronounce .
you have a beautiful voice 👌🏻 mashallah
Asalamu alaykum bro, I would like to thank you for your Salah videos! They have been so helpful for me as I've reverted to Islam and I love the content bro mash- Allah thank you so much! I still us them while I learn to do Salah.

Assalamualaikum brother. If you're new revert, I would recommend you to watch his videos on "beginners guide to become Muslim" from part 1 - part 4. This videos are the most basics things that we do everyday as a Muslim. I'm born Muslim from Malaysia by the way.
@@nazliyusof2607 mash- Allah I believe I've watched those 4 videos on the 5 pillars of Islam. But it could never hurt to review them another 5 times insha-allah thank you brother!
Waaikumsalam..masyaallah ..barokallah
Thank you for this tutorial, this video actually sparked an interest and curiosity to maybe start learning Quran in Arabic, the pronunciation is so uniquely awesome. However, I find it hard to accommodate the salah in my work schedule though, nonetheless I can start by reading the Quran.
Thank you for this !!! Iam learning to become a Muslim
This video really helps me. Thank you so much brother!

shukran l video. ana mn hollanda. I speak E nglish and a little bit darija Moroccon Arab, now more Arab , 'cause of the Quran. I pronounced the first time, 5 years ago in a Dutch way, Hollandse manier, After a few years i talk better Arab, and now I am at the point to pronounce it exactly how it suppose to. It's getting easier the letter h, and gh and kh; now also arrah, bismillah, not bis, but biis Chokran bzef (shukran bzaf)
Alhamdulillah. I am very grateful for this video.
It is extremely helpful, I will share it. My Allah bless you infinitely and grant you Jannah for your love for Allah and compassion for humanity.
Thanks so much! Very helpful 🙏🏼☺
Jazakallahu khayran for this formidable deed, bro
JazzakAllah khairan
Marshallah good video brother
Salam and thank you for this video. I’ve studied and practiced the Salat for some time now and found many videos but none that break down the pronunciation like this. I resisted the Shahada for this reason but took it today. alhamdulillah! Many thanks may Allah continue to bless and be pleased with you.
Wa alaykumu salaam, that’s amazing news. May Allah bless you in your journey
Mash Allah May Allah increased your knowledge
Thanks, brother. I need to fix my pronunciation and this was very helpful.
Amazing brother. I have found your teaching extremely helpful word by word. Well done

Thanks!
Great video!
Alhamdulilah
tysm a lot of duas for you
Wa'alaikumsalam brother.
Masha Allah
It’s so difficult I have a bad memory and I’m struggling to learn it. I don’t speak
Arabic I’m thinking of getting lessons and hopefully I learn, inshallah.
Watch over and over and you will get it in sha Allah. You get more rewards from Alllah for struggling to learn ❤
Brother may Allah reward you for all you efforts. My 2 cents here, it is pronounced dua al istiftaa7 at the end you need to say the ح. When you pronounced it you said h ه at the end. May Allah make us and you steadfast on His deen and increase us in beneficial knowledge. Salaam from Amsterdam
Wa alaykumu salaam, yeah you’re right. جزاك الله خيرا
I was imposed the catholic religion and now after discovering Islam I want to be a Muslim .
Thank you so much for making these videos so helpful .
How can I pray when I am just learning a sura like Al fathia and my pronunciation is now as it should be yet and I am learning too how should I properly pray , the number of rakas etc ?
If you check out this playlist, there are videos for each prayer word by word. So simply put your phone on the ground and follow it :) hope this helps insha Allah:

@@thinkrevert I appreciate very much you response to my question . I will also look for videos from you with the number of raka and raku in each sura, each step when praying. Blessings to you .
Think I’m responsible for at least 300 views on this. Thankyou
Great content. Personal question, you did the circumcision as revert?
You are not required to become circumcised as an adult revert according to the majority of scholars.
Asalamu alaykum, I'm trying to learn how to pray using your channel since I don't have anyone to teach me. Insha Allah its moving ok not fast but I'm patient
Wa alaykumu salaam, may Allah ease your difficulties. It takes time don’t worry. It’s possible to find teachers online too if you do a bit of searching, that could help a lot
does one sing it in the way you do in their head when doing it silently? and does one sing it that way out loud or just say?
does it change the meaning if u Aalameen with the normal A instead of the ayn ?
Are you gonna make another video reciting the rest of the prayer cuz I struggle with the part that comes after
Yes Insha Allah, what part is it you struggle with the most?
I’m just working on memorizing and pronouncing Surah Al asr and Attahiyat dua i believe it’s called but its the part where it starts with AttaHeyyaatu lillahi Wa-SSalawatu. So do you think you’ll release a video of you doing the whole prayer (4 rakaats preferably) ? That would be much greatly appreciated if your able to brother
@@KC_604 yes Insha Allah I can do that, I’ll try to do it after Ramadan as soon as possible
Did you see this playlist?:
czcams.com/play/PLMpZpT9IRpADy_rVMaihyXfjlVKshd6Jr.html
Some of it probably won’t make sense. But it is still going through each verse slowly. It may help for now until I make the videos you’re asking about
I struggle to pronounce correctly the end word of surat fatiha is it addaalin or addualin?
im new and was told to learn this. Is it the whole easiest prayer?
or its more to it?
czcams.com/play/PLMpZpT9IRpACGlZ-YlYjapNyL9VTr_kFR.html&si=uSagP772NDCsv4oE
Last part is so difficult... Ghayril , Im so unsure of how to even say this. Very American, so that pronunciation is not common at all
Asalam alaykum Brother there are haram ads on this channel and I think you can remove them, so please do as you are appealing to reverts who won’t know the rulings on lowering gaze etc.
Wa alaykumu salaam, jazakallahu khairan for letting me know. I will try to remove Insha Allah
actually helpful to hear you correct yourself, so I know how NOT to pronounce it. Thanks.
Is there a way u can do the Fatiha prayer without singing it. I am struggling with the pronunciation and need it given straight. I definitely don’t sing it in my head
Does this help?
