Get to Know the greatest surah of the entire Quran! An appreciation of Surah Al-Fatihah is something that has to be refreshed and renewed constantly.

Noted:
1. Allah himself comments about this Surah not only our Prophet.
2. The first complete Surah revealed.
3. The best Surah of the whole Quran.
4. In appreciation of the Surah has to be something refreshed and renewed. You can’t assume that u internalized and move on.
5. No other Surah explained as this Surah.
6. 7 highly praised ones/verses worthy of most praises itself.
7. Essence and mother of the entire Quran.
8. Itself is called the great Quran.
9. Mostly paired with some other part of the Quran.
10. You can recite this Surah alone but almost not possible to recite any other Surah alone without paired.
11. Introduction of any part of the Quran.
12. Lense you put on.
13. Source of healing as cure.
14. A door opened that has never been opened before and an angel came in down to Earth that has never come down before just for one purpose as to deliver the 2 glorious lights that our prophet has been given that no other prophet received. It is Surah Fatiha the opening of the book and the ending verses of Surah Bakara.
15. No body recites a single letter from this Surah except they’re given what they ask/seek.
16. We r sincerely asking Allah for guidance in this Surah.
17. Prophet told Allah says my slave will get whatever he asks and turns into a direct conversation between us and Allah. Allah responds to each n every ayah we recite in this Surah not at the end.
18. This Surah begans with whats for Allah. Middle for us and for Allah. Last part whats for ourselves. Completely balanced which is the pairing.
19. Everything in the Quran is paired.
20. Conclusion of Allah who Allah is as knowledge leads to action as we recite “I’m ready to worship u”.
21. Knowledge and action are paired in this Surah. Allah describes people with both knowledge and action, than those with knowledge but no action, and lasting those with action but no knowledge.
22. Perfect blend between what u say as an information
and declaring your own emotions.
23. Also pairs emotions and state of facts. What happens in the heart and mind.
24. Further pairs found is Allah’s mercy and justice. One on had this Surah says relay on Allahs love and mercy while on the other hand reminds don’t forget that u can’t take advantage of it Allah is all knowing of what’s out and in our hearts.
25. In this Surah we declare we will worship him and for us in return we will get what we want.
26. Every level this Surah is balances out everything and paired on top of paired.

My mum reverted from being an atheist 10 years ago and from an idiots guide to Islam book I found in the library I gave her she had memorised this prayer and even wrote it on a small piece of card and put it in the window of her purse so she could read it at anytime,Alhamdulillah I did not even know what was in this book and obviously she had to hide it as the family are against Islam
After listening to this video it all makes sense why she memorised this surah on her own with Allahs guidance,it is mind blowing.

years b4 i had my shahada, i was sitting infront of a woman in an hospital in a waiting area. She was reciting the koran silent. It was like a train would hit me.. all hair stand up! I was fealing the presents of such a power like i never did bevor.. since i submited to our creator i was never alone.. i never missed a thing! He helped me so hard, he fulfilled my true needs! I can give my last coin couse i know he provides for me. He fills my table..fear nothing he is so great! Subhanallah Subhanallah Subhanallah!

I had a dream from Allah about fatihah. I was a sleep and in my dream I saw a man in his grave there was blessing or noor in his grave, and a scripture. He seemed under the mercy of Allah. Someone with a "complete faith". I was awed, suddenly he was in front of me resurrected alive again, he intimated a secret of the grave and told me "the light of the grave is suruh fatihah". Like in this life fatihah is a healing so it is a protection and light in the grave.

Alhamdulillah! It is a great Surah to recite when u r feeling sad and stressed. Last night I was so worried and I haven't slept well for nights because my heart was so restless. I recited it 41 times last night and by Allah I felt sudden calmness and slept a deep sleep and also had good dreams. It cured me. Also I recited it before in emergency situations even without a wudu and made dua and wallahi my dua was instantly answered.
Imona Hossain I would also recommend taking deep breaths when you're feeling restless. It helps me so much alhamdulillah.

when I was 13, my mum told me to put the dustpan away so she could park the car in our garage, then my mum forget me that I was still getting the dustpan, and I was stuck up between the wall and the car. my little sister shrieked as she saw me as I was struggling to get off, and my mum thought was backward the car again until my mum saw me. it was so painful and I couldn't breathe, I was so little back then and luckily my mum taught me to memorize Surah- Alfatiha so as I was in a painful state, my mind was to tell me to recite Al-Fatiha and i recite it. Alhamdulillah afterward I don't feel any pain and my ribs were perfectly fine although we didn't get to see the doctor if my ribs are ok, well Alhamdulillah I'm 20 years old. Indeed Al-Fatiha is The Cure.

Last night I put this video to listen to I feel asleep I wake up then I put it back on then I sleep so this morning I am back on it again because when I fall asleep I feel like the enemy of my life is trying to distract me from greatness
I really like the setting. It's scholarly-like and interesting but doesn't distract from the lecture. I look forward to watching this series.

This is not only a chapter of the Quran but a complete dua'a.. No other surah of the quran is a dua.. I recite it after salah as a dua too

Assalamu alaykum, Here is my understanding from this video. Hoping this is of some help :)
FATIHA
• Greatest Surah of Quran - essence of entire Quran.
• 7 highly praised verses. (Massani)
Massani originates from Isnain (2), Sanna (fold in 2/ pairing) & Assna (paired)
Ideology: Paired together - (notice how whenever we read Fatiha it is always paired with another Surah).
• Nearly everything in Quran is paired. Hell - Heaven, Day - Night, Good - Bad etc.
• Fatiha is introduction to any Surah of Quran.
• Said to be the Mother of the book: i.e. inseparable from Quran.
• A Perfect balance.
• Can be read as Ruqyah (reciting Quran on someone for healing purpose)
Reciting Fatiha for someone can be a source of healing - Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said to spread the gift around (knowledge - Sadqah e Jariah).
• A door in sky that never opened before opened one day and angel comes to congratulate Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that 2 glorious lights have been given to him - Surah Fatiha and the ending verses of Surah Baqarah.
• When you recite it with heart, it is never given away (promise of Allah through this angel).
• Allah says, He’s divided it in 2 halves and slave will get whatever he asks.
(knowledge) First half for Allah - (declaration/ action) Middle between Allah and his servant (asks to worship Allah and seek His help) - (Knowledge & Action) & (knowledge or action) Last half for us slaves making it a complete Balance - paired - Massani).
• Allah responds from your very first recitation - He responds to every single Ayah of Fatiha & doesn’t wait for you to complete the recitation to respond.
He acknowledges the one who recites them.
• This Surah is Insha and Khabar (emotional and informational) making it a perfect blend {pairs emotional (heart) and knowledge (mind)}.
• Pair between Mercy (Ar-Rahman nir-Raheem) and justice (will punish for bad on day of judgement) - balance of both things.
• You declare what you’ll do for Him (worship) and get what you want in return (guidance & his help).
• Perfect balance! SubhanAllah.

In my heart, I am not worthy to be blessed just yet. But He did bless me with a Muslim woman to teach me the ways of Mohammed and the Quran. With the moral support of her two daughters also giving me support in prayer.
Surah Fatiha is my most favourite surah, since childhood. Even before I learned what the words meant (Arabic is not my language), I loved it. As a child, I also recited it whenever I felt scared for whatever reason and seeked refuge in Allah. Then as I grew older, I learned Surahs Ikhlas, Falaq and Naas. They are my favourite, too, because of their contents and the fact that these 4 surahs are the first ones I learned when I was first introduced to my religion.

Sub han Allah I decided now to convert and I'm always practicing now al Fatihah becouse I cant read Arabic but I search with English translation and al fatiha is the greatest part of Quran the verry if u not say this in the start ur prayer is not accepted

He said in a video that one can start getting hikma of Quran by just listening it' if reading sometimes bore you.

Just to let those outside my box, I took the first step into Islam with this family before Ramidon ended. My Bangoli woman friend helped me recite those special words and she taped me on her cellphone. Not officially, but her and her daughters welcomed me into the fold.
