An extremely pale goth girl with an ankh necklace tucked into her black sleeveless shirt (never named as such, but drawn exactly as Neil Gaiman depicts Death of the Endless from DC) appeared at Marlo and Rick Jones' wedding and gave Marlo a silver hairbrush as a present. She then said she needed to leave before "that Thanos creep" shows up.
So, yeah, it was a "brush with Death" and Death said she needed to bail before Thanos found her because she can't stand his creepy simping.

The discussion between mistress death, Dr. Strange , and Thanos and the infinity well in this issue was good character growth for mistress death.
I kinda like Mistress Death in this comic a lot more than her other depictions from past comics mainly due to the fact Thanos was always attached to her like a lost puppy or being slightly a gag character in certain scenarios (I.e Deadpool touching naughty bits with Death). But this one letting her explore not only her purpose more, but also exploring more about life, death, and pure unconditional love for someone made me like her slightly more. She’s not entirely selfish, she just understands her purpose in the greater picture of everything but she can show a change of heart and that’s really cool.

To be fair, the statement "within your lifetime" doesn't say much when made in front of
- a powerful mage who has crossed paths with all kinds of magic that can de-age or resurrect people
- the smartest man alive who already survived the destruction and subsequent recreation of the multiverse uninterrupted
- a tech visionary who has extensively altered his body composition and already resurrected himself once
- an omega-level mutant whose natural life expectancy could span eons for all we know
- and a living antimatter reactor who seemingly hasn't aged since the 60s and doesn't need food or air...
"Within your lifetime" in regards to them may be equivalent to "at some point between now and the heat death of the universe".
Suddenly occurred to me that the TOAA might hear Robs voice on occasion and as a result, the intrepid Black Bolt might find himself thrust even more commonly into places above his station 😂

Imagine if Mistress Death dies or actually gets erased like from the Beyonder again, or they do something else like that, and instead of nobody dying, people can still die, there is just no afterlife anymore, like no more Realm of Mistress Death, people just die and they cease to be, there is no spirit or Astral form or ghost or any afterlife sort of thing where they now exist in a higher form of existance and can be brought back, they are just completely gone from existance?

I’m really surprised Mistress Death wouldn’t be super pissed at Emma and all the mutants for that whole “Resurrection” garbage in Krakoa. This would have been a chance to really flesh that concept out, her being pissed that they are “cheating” her. Then they could have done some stuff about their bodies and minds coming back but not their souls, etc etc

What if the reason Thanos is going to his obsession with Lady Death also has to do with the mcu still. Like maybe Thanos will come back in the mcu and have meet lady Death and now has his new (comic book old) obsession.
