It's likely to be revealed he's just an alternate reality version of another popular hero or villian. They're giving him too much focus to just be a footnote character.

Gods is easily one of my favorite recent stories. It doesn't have to be a big bang level event every couple issues just seeing some of the strongest cosmic entities doing what they do in their own realm is beyond cool.
I second that. I love this side of Marvel. Magic/occult, Reality Guardians/Protectors And Various paranormal creatures. This and Moon Knight do a excellent job with this kind of stuff.
My guess is the living tribunal is still recovering from the death of the multiverse in secret ward and oblivion got a boost from it. That’s why they’re even now
Master Order and Lord Chaos and The In-betweener took his power once as well if you remember that one.

Thought Oblivion learned his lesson during "Cosmos in Collision".
Not sure if I like this new scaling: Death, Oblivion, Infinity and Eternity being even parts was pretty logical to me. It's Hickman writing, though, so definitely worth waiting to see.

Those days when Living Tribunal was the 2nd strongest character of Marvel Comics. Now the only thing he does is die and come back!

@@afro_princess1671 The Pheonix force was never second to TOAA nor was it ever confirmed to be so. The only evidence of such was that one part in the Defenders comics where TLT was in the White Hot Room with the Pheonix and they sort of fought. That's it.

@@afro_princess1671 Maybe so, but those two instances aren't enough to trump the decades of continuity that consistently stated and confirmed the TLT being second only to TOAA.
The cosmic entity stuff can be very convoluted. I mean, when you're talking about that level of power, it's pretty easy to lose track of who's stronger than who.
Well, it shouldn't really matter. Cosmic entities only really fight against their antithesis, who by definition is equivalent in power, or the universe would become too out of balance to exist anymore. Beings below their pay grade exist to be subject to their rules, just like they're subject to the rules of their superiors..
Easiest way to remember. Living Tribunal > everyone

@@mikevigliotti3798use to be that way but Marvel became desperate to shake things up especially with the second SW comic run with the beyonders. Now you have thor beating Galactus, or order and kaos killing the LT in the ultimates. Makes the cosmic order very convoluted.

the final moments with oblivion were crazy intimidating. Such beautiful art.
I love how oblivion looks he’s other worldly but not eldritch horror but rather a great shadow telling you just how wrong you and everything else is but having to live with that shadow no matter how much you deny it because you know it’s a irreplaceable part of you what could happen if you don’t keep it on a very tight leash and how despite the consequences you agree with that shadow somewhere deep down in your soul
I like how dude is basically all "Wait, think about your decision before deciding. What if this bad thing happens down the line? This specific thing happening would totally suck" *wink*
Living Tribunals return only means Marvel is about to introduce a new OP character. TOAA did a little trolling when making Living Tribunal.
He's basically retconned again. Now he's Master Order and Lord Chaos tier and Oblivion tier. All the unbeatable Cosmic entites get retconned
It’s to show how powerful the new OP of all time character, that’s become the lazy tool of nearly every writer, within their stories.

I’m tired of it. There are so many “more powerful than any cosmic entity, older than all the multiverses, and whatever came before that, etc.” characters now, that it’s just a mess of continuity.
Take your pick; Enigma, Carnage, Onslaught, Franklin, Jean-Grey and who knows what else still to come.
@@RafaAldezTo exist "on the same axis" does not have to mean that these beings are equal in power. Look at the context. He is being asked to meddle in the affairs of The Powers That Be and The Natural Order on the claim that he has done so in the past. He corrects this misunderstanding which indicates someone else did but the term "axis", rather than any other term, is very telling as if two points exist on the same axis then they can never meet or intersect one another.
Therefore all we learn here is that The Living Tribunal has no authority over these groups not that he is weaker than them which isn't really unexpected as we know his jurisdiction mainly extends only to lesser beings becoming multiversal threats.
How can he be the LIVING Tribunal when he dies so much?

Finally I've been waiting on this! While I agree with others that I don't like seeing The Living Tribunal "depowered" I like this story because we get to learn more about the cosmic entities.
Watch out, everyone. Living Tribunal has learned to not only give speeches, but also dissolve clothing and wrap people in vines. He's really stepped up from what he was before. That's what happens when they stop rerunning Golden Girls.

Amazing job on the video Rob. The Living Tribunal and Oblivion are some of my favorite characters in marvel.
Adam Warlock is one of the faces of the Tribunal now, and it is canon. Just a reminder.
Not just one of the faces, HE IS THE LIVING TRIBUNAL. Adam Warolck doesn't exist anymore( for the time being, Just like Hal Jordan stopped existing when he became the Specter
When you say 'even keel' I think you should note that from a hierarchy they may be on the same level but their power may not be, especially depending on how restricted or unrestricted they are by their nature.

These kinds of series are my favorite. I love when we get to learn more about the Marvel cosmics. Interesting that Order and Chaos were mentioned, considering their other interaction in another story where they killed the LT to create a new being "LOGOS"

Where did you hear that marcellus' soul was in the briefcase? As far as I know Tarantino himself said he left it ambiguous and open to interpretation on purpose, because he wants the viewer to make their own ending.

I remember saying in your videos (you can see it if you go back to them) oblivion isn't more powerful or as powerful as the one above all. This video proves he's not more powerful than the one above all. Also she said she serve two masters (Oblivion and LT) this does not automatically equate to Oblivion being as powerful as LT. It just means Oblivion is more powerful than her. Lastly, master order and lord chaos are not on the same level as LT. That's not what this issue tells me. Similar purpose yes. Same powel levels? No.

The Black Swan are interesting characters along with the Black Priests since the Black Priests were a defense against the Incursions during Hickman's Avengers/New Avengers (Man, I need to read this run).

i never understood what you meant by “the link to the playlist is below”... every video i check the description and the only links are to otjer starting points for various comic types but not necessarislly the playlist for the storyline in the current video.
Honestly It’s why I stopped watching these videos because the playlists are too confusing to navigate with how many there are and the description usually doesn’t have the actual link

Considering the living tribunal and oblivion are basically equals it makes sense they are officially stated as such.
they are not equals and it's not stated anywhere, Rob is once again missinterprets for the wows. the fact that they are "brothers" and her masters does not mean they are equals. but, that's not a problem with marvell, since any random joe can be more powerfull than anybody, at any given sunday.

To share the same representative does not mean two beings are of equal power and authority. To draw an example within this theme of laws and judges, a lawyer can represent many people who are very different and in some cases when someone cannot afford a representative of their own one can be provided for them by the authorities. Following that there we're brought to the conclusion that Oblivion is not capable of having or refuses to have a representative and therefore The Living Tribunal assigns their own representative to also represent Oblivion. Indeed it is very odd among the Marvel gods to not have an avatar or representative within the physical world..
