LOL Ken! I would have to agree . Eighth mile is just over too damn quick....
Love all the cars, absolutely. But running 1/8 mile is like giving a dead horse penecillin.
14:15 - 14:30 That has to be one of the biggest & most unfortunate coincidences ever in racing. They both ended horribly and at the same time. They still had the fastest drag of the day though.
4.17! They're so close to the three's!
andrewt248 the Camaro that wrecked at the end ran a 4.11 the pass before
the explosion blew a part under the other guys tire while on the wheel stand keep watching you will see a hot part fly across the track hope they are ok.
Regalame uno
check it out
Holy shit @ the Camero @ 10:20. The delayed boost on that thing stood the front end up at (looks like) past 60ft. Wow! lol,....he almost put it in the wall though.
Well,....looks like I made that comment a little early since he did put it in the wall @ 14:18. That car is too squirlley to stay in the throttle through a wheel stand. It was silly of him to try.
+Glitch he should have pulled his chute
I disagree. Pulling the chute on a car that's beginning to break loose will substantially reduce your chance of driving out of it. You will *never* see an experienced driver do that - even in top fuel.
you dont know what your talking about pulling the shoot instantly strightens the car out and slows it down
No one, and I mean NO ONE does that. In hundreds if not thousands of of drag race crashes (and near misses)
I've seen on TV and in person across every single class of car, I've *never* seen a driver pull a chute to assist with traction and control of the vehicle. We'll just have to agree to disagree. Now they might pull the chute if they are headed in a straight line and have an engine malfunction - I'll give you that much, but not to get a squirelly car straight again. Never, never, never.
something is on that track like a oil slick on both sides
looks more like a dip in the tarmac, especially noticeable on the left lane
yea i really only like quarter mile drag racing
really? I think 1/8th mile is more interesting by far. but I respect your opinion as well
Is this 1/8 mile of 1/4 mile???
Those cars dont look like 4-second cars....
Question then; If you're running 4 seconds in 1/8, what's the 1/4 mile time, usually?
Syrus54 multiply 1/8 mile time by 1.57 and that'll get u close to 1/4 mile time. It's not dead on especially with turbo cars doing alot of their work from just before the 330'mark til the finish line, but it'll get u close.
Carros
Theres a big difference between an 1/8 car going 4.99 and one that is 4.00 when you are talking about equivalent 1/4 mile time. A 4.99 car may be 7.85 to 8.00 and a 4.00 car will be deep in the 6's....
God dammit if it aint always one of the last runs of the night.
Sad thing is that was a very pretty car.
That lane was shit from the first set going down.... I guess they dont pay attention to that shit in Joizey
why do they need the chute for 1/8 mile?
+PhiladelphiaFlyers16 IF UR RUNNING OVER 150 MPH IN 1/8 MILE YOU NEED A CHUTE. ITS TRACK RULES
+Kendall Jamison 125 in the 8th 150 in the quarter.
No its 150mph for 1/8th and 2 chutes for 200+mph in the quarter, most have 2 anyways
Canadian Kid nope, 125 for the 8th, 150 for the quarter.
No its 150mph for 1/8th and 2 chutes for 200+mph in the quarter, most have 2 anyways
1/8 is for a burnout. you race a 1/4 mile come on now
Running 8th mile because if short shut down area dummy
most pro mods across the country run 1/8th mile
Steven Hill I run Competition eliminator at Atco with cars running mid 6' and stop just fine.
holmz28 Not in the NHRA they don't.
Steve Polhill not at this track
entirely to long for safety response.
Helldog918+Most intelligent comment yet. Where the heck were they?
