    Such a controversial year, the British singer, Bonnie Tyler ( Total Eclipse of the Heart) said she overheard the Russian delegation complaining about not getting the votes they paid for.

      Jake’s Face Reacts you know her? She participated that year, placed pretty low though, maybe react to her? Her voice of course isn’t as good as in the 80’s. (Sidenote, she’s still bitter about it, calling the contest political, blah blah)

      You're just a clown and a victim of the Soros Foundation....! Thanks to Russia, Europe has not received more refugees in Europe! Russia saves not only itself from terrorism in their lair, but also Europe from refugees! And Russia for your information in Syria at the invitation of the authorities! Unlike the US, which climb everywhere with provocations and wars without any invitation and mandate of the UN! Wake up Western zombies! You have no arguments, as opposed to your stupid mantras for idiots, any educated person who knows what happens in the case, not from the Western mainstream, can tell you all that is arguments! You just repeat mantras for idiots - Russia is bad, Russia is killing! What you bitches!! Who was killed by the Russians? What do you even know? The U.S. supports terrorists in Syria, they are under the protection of the us army and from our satellites are all perfectly visible! You're funny in your stupid mantras! In Georgia nuts, Saakashvili attacked South Ossetia, there were Russian peacekeepers under a UN mandate, and the Georgian army shot Russian peacekeepers in the back and began to shoot South Ossetians from rocket launchers! You began to accuse Russia specifically with the support of information war against Russia in the Western media! And none of you and your false media care that the Council of Europe has long found out and published the results of the investigation of this mess by Saaakashvili! There in black and white says that Saakashvili attacked first, Russian peacekeepers was killed! And only after that, in order to protect South Ossetians and Abkhazians from genocide the Russian army was forced to begin the operation to force GEORGIA TO PEACE ( from just stupidly shot from rocket launchers Hail, which were presented to the crazy stoned Nazi Saakashvili by our Ukrainian "friends" by the then President of Ukraine - Yushchenko !) After our killed peacekeepers, Georgian army killed 2,000 Ossetians! This creature Saakashvili wanted to NATO, but Georgia had territorial conflicts with South Ossetia and Abkhazia, and he decided to end them so - no people - so no problem! Because he's crazy. He chewed his tie in front of the world after everything went wrong, he called his masters in the us state Department....and very nervous.....he thought that Russia would not answer his crime! He was told that Russia has no army and only rusty tanks.... But he was wrong. If he shot the American peacekeepers - his country would have been wiped off the face of the earth in this case! But since it is Russian peacekeepers - then these scum think they can deprive them of life, and with the Ossetians to take off with impunity.... You are greatly mistaken, Russophobes! Very much! You are just clowns, if you are not able to know the truth, but simply stupidly repeat anti-Rossian mantras for the stupid electorate from the engaged Western media!!! You're a cheap provocateur from Georgia Saakashvili times, which has long been wanted in his own country and against which opened a criminal case for his dark deeds!

    This song is a paradox. Russia send this kind of songs of love and peace while their political stuff is the opposite. But we can't blame the artists because the message they try to send with the song is good. They are representing a country's culture not the government's politics.

      For starters, don't be an idiot, watching media from Russophobe Soros..... What do you know about Crimea? Crimea was always Russian! Empress Catherine the Great founded the Russian black sea fleet In the Crimea! In the Crimea, in Sevastopol live 9 generations of Russian sailors! Everything was fine until the crazy General Secretary, Soviet leader Khrushchev gave Crimea to itself on birthday! Together with people without even asking them like a sack of potatoes! People in the Crimea have ALWAYS been against the fact that they are not legally severed from Russia! The Crimea had an Autonomous status, but the Ukrainian authorities have deprived of the status of autonomy! When the USSR collapsed the Crimea wanted to stay with Russia! In 1991 and 1992 have been a referendum! But Yeltsin, President of Russia, which is a collapsing economy and Russia as a whole and danced to the tune of the IMF and the U.S. simply ignored the Crimea! And only after in Ukraine with the support of the U.S. government, the Nazis came and began to forbid the Russian population of Crimea speak Russian language ( they were trying to do all the time) and wanted to replace the Russian fleet ( based there for centuries) to the American base and become a real threat to Crimea and the country's economy, destroying all economic ties with Russia, and only then In the Crimea held a referendum, which they are entitled under the UN Charter! In a referendum 97 % of Crimeans decided to go back to Russia! Annexation is all in the minds of the Russophobes and anti Russian media ! If it were not for Russia - they would be happy. But their happiness was not destined to come true. Russia was, is and will be! And no barbarians, destroying the country, killing unwanted rulers and stealing other people's resources, solve it! And you, victims of Soros and his media time would have to grow up and not be idiots and brainwashed to think not brains Soros, and their brains.....but it seems very difficult, it is easier to repeat anti-Russian propaganda. without delving into the reality. Well, continue to be idiots, it's you like... And even if you do not know, for many Europeans and Americans, especially business, has long visit in the Russian Crimea! Does that surprise you? By your logic and the logic of the Russophobes you should ban entry to Ukraine and participation in the contest for half of Europe and the United States ...Very funny and stupid as always. The most illiterate and poorly informed people on Earth are victims of the media by Soros.... As always you beyond reality.

    While I initially really enjoyed the song, unfortunately from the Crimea annexation onwards I can't take this song seriously and kinda find it more ironic than inspiring. But it's still a really great song in practice but that's just my state of mind. Can I ask that you react to the 1994 interval act called Riverdance? It's considered the best and most successful interval act of all of Eurovision history.

      annexation lol? Read the history. Crimea was Turkish, before Russian. This is the territory of Russia. 90% of Crimeans voted to join Russia, because they are Russian. Watch BBC and CNN or buy the brain

    • @oliviamacarthur18
      @oliviamacarthur18 Před 6 lety

      JuliaOffical While I truly do not appreciate how rude and completely unnecessary and arrogant some of your comments are about my perceived intelligence I find that you have completely missed some of the arguments. True Crimea was owned by the Ottomans originally, that has no bearing to any arguments post Soviet Union when most of that Turkish territory was already gone and the Ottoman Empire had come to an end. During the time of the Soviet Union Crimea was placed officially in the territory and leadership of Ukraine by the Russians in 1954 after many Russians had already been colonised in it aided by the exiling of the native Tatars. After the independence of Ukraine the relatively autonomous government of Crimea decided to remain in the sovereignty of Ukraine, akin to the relationship Northern Ireland and Britain, mostly autonomous but under the same umberella. While it's true that the annexation was relatively popular in Crimea, it cannot be denied how Putin went about it was ultimately over the top and violent. Russian troops and forces forcibly took control against the will of not only the Ukrainian but also the Crimean government all before a vote could take place. Even now many MPs claimed that votes were cast for them and that they were threatened by the Russian forces that were now in control of the parliament building. Even more troops were sent down that day and there were even protests by Russians in Moscow saying that the effective military campaign was over the top and damaging to their world standing and reputation. Through these acts, the Russians had broken laws and treaties and did so with force. And that was just with Crimea. That is why this song is ironic, not inspiring.

    • @katya15951
      @katya15951 Před 6 lety +2

      BBC or CNN said this? More Crimean people is Russian. I've being there every summer, people is happy, people wants and proud be part of RF. Ask Crimean what he wants, not the nazis from СNN, BBC or something. I grow up in this country, and I know what Crimea is, and Ucrainian people my friends like always. Who you are? You're know nothing. We here in Russia and Ukrainian people (a lot of) laughing at people like you, because we are one nation no matter what. Only idiots, trolls from Ukraine believe in hatred between our peoples. This is about 10% of the country. This hatred is fueled by people like you. No one was killed in Crimea. I don't care whose Crimea is, I just hate lie about my country, about my people. No one was killed in the Crimea. People took to the streets and asked Russia to accept them. And Crimea was a gift to Ukraine by Khrushchev even without a documents from a goverment! Catherine II in 1783 signed the Manifesto with the Ottoman, which said that the Crimea is Turkish or Russian. And why Russians and Ukrainians don't hate the Germans who destroyed half of our nations? Think about it. US want a war with Russia and they're invades to Ukraine and use EU for this, only the idiots don't understand this. USA the big threat of the world, and no one Russian don't wanna war. So stop lie and blame. And that's not about song. We sing about what we want. Tell about the song of peace to my grandmother and other young people who saved this fucking world in World War II. GoodLuck.

      @oliviamacarthur18 Před 6 lety +1

      JuliaOffical Look, I'm not gonna argue with you since clearly we see two different sides of the story though I lived in Crimea for a year in 2012 and still have friends there. I, and most of Europe and a lot of Russians think Putin went too far in his approach and you don't. That's fine. Though I will point out that you will never get anyone to take your message seriously or will even listen to you if you lash out angrily and insult people, even on the internet. You know nothing of me, my life, or my experience, and I know nothing of you. So don't presume to know me or my intentions, intelligence or anything else. All you will do is push people away from your message since due to your perceived arrogance and general mean spiritedness will make people think that you're talking nonsense, which may not be the actual case. Treat people with a level of respect that you would hope to receive yourself and maybe people will hear your end of the argument. End of story.

    At the grand final of the ESC 2015 in Vienna, the Austrian broadcaster ORF criticized Russian legislation in a very elegant way. They used this song in a video cut by snippets send in by fans of the ESC and one of the last sequences showed a same sex couple kissing, which is illegal in Russia. Of course, the Russian TV station had to transmit it too, because of the rule that you have to show everything at the ESC or nothing, as China experienced this year.

      Jake’s Face Reacts thank you! Actually it is very good that this happened. The EBU showcased that they stand by their principles. The offical statement said that censorship "is not in line with the EBU's values of universality and inclusivity and our proud tradition of celebrating diversity through music."
      A clear warning signal to all other countries with tendencies to censor social issues which might be inconvenient for a few governments. If you cut away, you are out. Greetings from Austria.

    Great vocalist, nice melody, good staging........BUT...... this is so saccharin and sickly sweet, almost manipulative of your emotions..... in the year of eastern divas IMO this definitely falls short of Zlata's effort from the Ukraine...... and that is not an attempt to stir trouble between those 2 nations

    I know it's wrong to compare Russia to Ukraine, but I have a feeling Russia always tries to please Europe by sending kind of polished and proper songs (saying "Look, we are good and nice!") like anticipating anyone's approval. Ukraine doesn't always send songs I like, but I feel their passion. Results? Russia has sent some good quality songs (This one isn't bad at all! And the voice...), but most of them were so predictable and didn't give any goosebumps. Ironically, I think that the granny's entry has been the most genuine so far!

    If you watch the official video to this you'll want to throw up a bit: It's even more cheesy and hypocritical showing her sing in front of an audience of terrible actors who start to realize how much they love each other and everyone is sheepishly happy by the end of the video... It's such an obvious attempt of manipulation and propaganda. But it's also a typical Love Love Peace Peace Eurovision ballad.. In the following years after the annexation of Crimea the Russian entries got booed by the audiences in the hall, even more during the jury voting when the common conception was "oh, here comes another ex-sovjet republic they bought their 12 points from".

The US has invaded over 50 countries after WW2. US gov. has overthrowed many legitimate countries and thats facts.
