Which forgotten soda do you want to bring back!?
Pepsi Holiday Spice
@@david_walker_esqYes I totally agree with you, please bring it back.🥤
Ale 8 and Jolt.
NOT that new Coke
Kick Soda!
Imagine my surprise as I'm sitting here in Vegas sipping on a Squirt to be told it doesn't exist anymore 🙂
Squirt is in Florida too but I prefer Ting more. If you haven't had it it's even more of a tart grapefruit is a Jamaican soda.
Fresca is good too.
I actually think he said it’s still made today, but yeah, it’s pretty confusing. I just saw ten flavors of Shasta at my local market yesterday so this upload was a little off.
Bro. You’re dead. It’s heaven.
Rc cola is still made too
I remember a lemon-lime drink back in mid- to late 70's called Bubble Up
Bubble Up is still around. Or at least was a few years ago, the last time I went to a certain big candy shop in Cleveland.
Merle Haggard had a 1981 Song called "Rainbow Stew" where he spoke about "Drinking that free Bubble Up/ And eating that Rainbow Stew."🤔🎤🎼🎵🎶🎸🎹🎻🎷🥁🍋🍈🥤B.W.
Bubble Up was around in the 50's, disappeared for a while and then was back in the 70's. It was a competitor of 7 Up and Sprite.
@@billgrandone3552 I checked, it’s still made and some distributors have it for sale on the web. Dad’s Root Beer Co. own it.
I remember that as a kid.
Shasta, Rc, Frostie, and Squirt are sold regularly where I live.
Frostie’s Orange ‘n’ Cream is real good. I wish we still got it here in Ohio.
Every once in awhile,I still see Cheer Wine cherry soda. Not anywhere near as good as the vanished Canfield's Chocolate Fudge Soda they also had it in chocolate cherry.
And Nobody remembers Dixie Cola...😂😅
Omg I loved Hires Rootbeer
I agree. It remains the definitive root beer. It is the root beer that I am still craving every time that I try a new root beer. (I know, First World Problems.)
Crystal Pepsi come back
RC, Frostie Root Beer, Squirt, and Welch's Grape Soda are still available.
Dad's Root Beer too.
A&W Root Beer too.
Where is welches Grape soda still sold It was my favorite soda
All made bad by high fructose corn syrup.
I like the Old-Timey art and graphics on Frostie. It reminds me of Old Man Frost in a cartoon from the 1940s/50s and those simpler times ❄️
I was a military dependent in Japan during the 60s and the 70s. I was in high heaven whenever my dad picked up a large glass bottle of Shasta Orange at the commissary.
Nehi soda had a life after it was discontinued. The TV show "MASH" was set in an Army Hospital during the Korean War. Walter "Radar" O'Reilly, unlike his fellow soldiers, would consistently order a Grape Nehi instead of an alcoholic drink.
nehi isnt discontinued seen it a week ago at a store...
Nehi has been resurrected. Hallelujah!!! @@joshualee8151
Appears quite often in The Cracker Barrel Gift Shop along with Dad's and Ale 8 and Moxie among other flavors.🍇🥤B.W.
@@madbrowniac7871Love Moxi!😃
Nehi is still sold at Cracker Barrel restaurants
Hires root beer. Use to have with a "Shakey's" pizza. Trip down memory lane.
Hires Root Beer Concentrate to make your very own can be ordered from Hires Big H out in Utah IIRC.🤔🥤🍺B.W.
And there's also a "Shakey's" in Panama City Beach.🍕🌊☀️🍊🌴B.W.
They used to have a Shakey’s in Lake Charles, LA. The last time I had a slice was in 1994 in Brea, CA.
Shakey's used to serve a green soda here in Albuquerque back in the early, mid 1970's. Shakey's is long gone.
RC is still available absolutely delicious
I think the Coke/New Coke/Classic Coke controversy was a ploy perpetrated by the company to switch from the ever increasingly expensive cane sugar to corn syrup.
I remember years ago I saved a can of Crystal Pepsi and still have it. I told my friend at the time I'm saving one of these because it won't last long. I actually liked it wish they would bring it back 🥤
They did for a while
Yeah, they did in 2015, I believe.
I see crystal Pepsi on in some stores here in Canada.
I loved it
Shasta and Squirt aren't gone, and aren't hard to find.
They have multiple flavors of Shasta at menards!
I can still find peach and grape nehi too
Right. Well, hard to find two litre diet sprite, though.
Sold at grocery stores in Texas.
Still available in Washington, as well as Fresca
Wow I didn't think I'd forgotten about all of these. So many brought back so many memories. Good stuff
Shasta is still around.
Yep, all 914 flavors!
Not in California.
Even in Canada but I first tried it in Palm Springs CA
In the 1960’s RC Cola was my uncle’s favorite.
Doesn't RC Cola still exist?
@@floogelhornzzz4770 … Yes it does. To me it tastes like a cola with a little cinnamon taste
@@Idahoguy10157: To me it tastes like cola without enough sugar. When I tried it, I found the flavour disappointing. I didn't understand why on earth it was so popular back in the '70s. I thought Coke and Pepsi tasted better. I still remember the catchy jingle they'd play on the radio which touted it as being not too sweet, like that's a good thing. And if you're old enough to remember, on an old episode of _All In The Family_ Michael Stivic (the meathead) bet his wife Gloria that he could differentiate between these three colas just from the taste.
I bought a Cube(24 can package) of RC last week. Yes I bought a package of Moon Pies too
@@floogelhornzzz4770does here in SE Texas...
Shasta soda is still around in Texas. I know because I work for a forklift company & sometimes one of us has to go to that manufacture & either repair or service their forklifts. And sometime they let grab any flavor soda for free for getting their lift working again.
And still In Hazard Ky as well
Shasta and Fresca are still both available in Seattle
Texas is lucky then.
I loved Frosty rootbeer.
I loved Pepsi light
Grew up with it. My father's mother who lived with us was diabetic so Pepsi Lite it was.
I can get frostie whenever i want.
I WANT HIRES ROOT BEER BACK!
I LOVED Hires Root Beer. It was the best by far. All the machines around here had it and I'd always get it when I was out anywhere. The only good root beer anymore is Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer
Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
Really enjoyed this program..
I remember in “ Back to the Future”, when ‘Marty McFly’ said he wanted a Tab.
A tab? I can't give you a tab unless you order something.
Tab with cyclamates- the very best!
Give me a Pepsi Free. I'm not giving you a Pepsi for free, you've got to pa for a Pepsi!
Just give me something without any sugar.
Tab causes Parkinson's.
I loved Squirt as a kid. My grandmother would let me have some when I came visiting. 🥤
They still make it.
Welch's grape soda!!! 😍🤩💗💞
I can get it locally along with other flavors.
I remember when they used to sell welch's orange soda
I miss Hires root beer.
Vanilla ice cream and a Hire's root beer.
It was the best.
nunyabidins5407 How about Dad's Root Beer.?
@@lilorbielilorbie2496 We always bought Hires. I am sure I've had Dads but Hires is what I grew up on. I don't drink much pop anymore.
@@nunyabidnis5407 The last time I had soda of any kind was on Aug.14,2015. That's when I found out that I'm a diabetic. I just quit them cold turkey. Maybe someday I'll have one.
There was a regional (New England) bottler named Cott that made a delicious raspberry soda.
Yes they manufacturer store brands both in Canada and the USA
I wish I could try it
Jolt was really popular at my last job...My cousin called Orbitz " Booger Cola"...
They still make Jolt. The only place I see it now is in liquor stores and head shops, though.
We still have Squirt here.
Squirt is still around
I remember Hires. It was the only root beer I really liked.
Drinking a Squirt while watching a video about wanting it to come back.
😂
I always wondered when Radar from M.A.S.H would always order a Grape Nehi from Rosie’s Bar and never knew it was an actual drink, I just thought it was just an ordinary grape soda. Learn something new. Great video!
RC was my Gran's favorite, I liked the apple Slice
Shasta black cherry or a blue Nehi cream soda sounds good right about now.
I’m drinking a squirt right now. There is also Shasta in the cooler in my work break room.
No there isn't.
Royal Crown Cola is still manufactured and sold in the US today. It is called RC Cola, and I buy it frequently at Winco and Safeway. Shasta is Winco Foods store brand cola so you lose on that as well.
They also sell Tab and Squirt.
RC is a snapple/dr.pepper (7up) product.
Squirt was very popular in my neighborhood in Buffalo. One friend's favorite drink was gin and Squirt. When she went to college in Boston, she asked for a gin and Squirt but the bartender didn't know what Squirt was.
I enjoyed this look of great historic sodas.
I loved Surge!
I guzzled Crystal Pepsi. Sure it was an unhealthy thing to do, but I was in my mid 20's. Also, as a teenager in the 80's I loved Faygo Chocolate Soda. I wish Faygo would bring it back.
When Pepsi Light was introduced, it was a low-calorie soda, only later to become sugar-free
Pepsi Light also had a twist of lemon flavor in it.
I believe Squirt is still around.
so is shasta
On adult sites😂
Squirt, Nehi sodas ( I still buy the Grape, orange and Peach) Grapette, and Dad's Root Beer are still being made and sold today. I've bought Frostie Root Beer (Try the Cherry Limeade, it's excellent) yesterday at the Hazard Ky Save-a-Lot.
I see Shasta in stores too.
Say thank you to Ale8 for the Nehi. I could be wrong but I think it's just here and not other states.
Where do you live to find Nehi (I’d love the Peach!) and Frostie Cherry Lime?
@@cydkriletich6538 If you have Kroger in your area they usually carry Peach nehi, at least they do near me in KY
@@cydkriletich6538 Hazard KY, Perry County. The Nehi are at Food City, and UGO. Frosty Cherry Limeade at both Save-a-lot stores, along with other Frosty flavors. Yes root beer too. Making a Root Beer float is So easy now
Barq’s was regional soda manufacturer in Cincinnati when I grew up in the 60s. Coca-Cola bought them out and you can only now find the root beer and the cream soda. They have the best orange, the best grape and the best lemon lime pop ever made.
Does anyone remember a lemon lime soda called Mello Yellow?
Tasted like a slightly watered down, but sweeter version of Mountain Dew👍
Yes and it's available at Walmart as a special drink. Look it up on the web they have a website for it. Nostalgia soda ten times the price you remembered. 😅
Mello Yello, and it’s still available at restaurants that feature Coke products
@kevinvanryswyck9739 go to Wendy's
Arby's has it.
If you look into the history of RC cola , Royal Crown is still around
I'm drinking one as we speak! XD
ASPEN,ASPEN,ASPEN!! Apple soda. Please??
I remember RC cola in New York City back in the 60's we would go to the corner store and buy 16oz bottle. I even remember when RC had a contest when you would peel off the inside of the bottle cap to see if you would win something. The most I've seen was 25 cent.
@@JohnnyT002 This was also the soda which you'd find at the old Yankee Stadium during the 94, & 95 seasons. That's how I initially found out about it too.
I get RC when I go to the store every week
Nehi and cherry-wine is still in stores with a frosty root beer.. but I think all has chance with what in them.. there a few from Mexico with the sugar cane recipe.. still has the old taste I grew up with..
We could say to PepsiCo bring back Crystals clear Pepsi. Something that tastes so good they have to get rid of.
I absolutely LOVED the original Mandarin Orange Slice. One of my favorites. Then they changed it to regular orange and it wasn't the same. And don't even get me started on that "New Slice" crap.
Slice cherry cola was my fave! I think I was hooked on it!
I liked apple slice.
There was a cap contest in the 80s. Pepsi Spirit was the phrase. Removing the cap plastic required a tetanus shot. E was the missing letter.
Surge and O.K. soda bring back my childhood memories.
I like, Squirt, Slice, Shasta, Surge, Tab🥰
other than the diet sodas, the rest of the sodas mentioned tasted better because they were made with real sugar and not high fructose corn syrup
As many have noted, Squirt is not only still around, it's quite easy to find... at least in the south. A grapefruit soda that is no more is Wink, which was made by Canada Dry.
I've never heard of it. So it must be only in certain areas...
@@Deborahtunes Did you mean Squirt or Wink? I used to drink Wink in the Washington, DC area back in the 70s. It's been gone quite a while. Squirt is still going strong, though. They sell it here in North Florida. In Montana they also have a Ruby Red Squirt along with the regular. I like that one even better but haven't seen it here in Florida.
@@garrettpeck4437 ~ I meant Squirt, but I've never heard of Wink either...
Minute Maid Orange soda!!!
Would love to see a video like this on cereal!
Oh the cereals just hurt. When they discontinued CW Post cereal I was so sad.
I can get Squirt at Winn-Dixie or Publix here in Florida with no problem.
Now if you like grapefruit soda, if you're able to get it try Ting, it's a Jamaican grapefruit soda that's even more tart than Squirt.
Yep here in Jax
I was a Pepsiholic from 15 to 56 years old. My other favorite was WINK. A lemon lime soda. I wish it was still around. The closest thing I have found is TING in the Caribbean.
I remember Wink too… if I remember correctly, it was a citrus drink not just lemon & lime. It was my favorite drink, Until one day (early teens) I overdid it while teaming up wink with bugles. I haven’t eaten bugles since that day. Lol.
I sure do miss LifeSavers soda and Vault soda and Cactus Cooler the ( Flintstones) was drinking on!!!😊
i wish that glass bottle diet root beer would come back and MT Dew pitch black and Pepsi blue
Not a carbonated drink but I really miss Chocolate Soldier!
THANK YOU, AMAZON!!!!
Hires, Welch's, RC and Chocolate Soldier ( not listed) re the only ones I miss.
At least Cheerwine and Sundrop still exist.
Hires and RC are still around.
7up was my favorite
When I was a kid I loved Tiger Red cream soda. A couple of Tigers and a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos and I was in heaven!
‘Green River’ was my childhood favorite since the 1960’s.
It is still available in the Chicagoland area in 2024.
Black cherry soda is great. And Crystal Pepsi was weird.
You can STILL buy Squirt
No you can't.
RC & Squirt are still around.
The best choice on your list is Jolt!!
Other sodas I want back--
Diet Pepsi Twist
1893 Pepsi Ginger Cola
Dark Berry Mountain Dew
Sprite Ginger
Orange Vanilla Coke
Cinnamon Coke
Black Cherry Fresca
Black Cherry Soda Pop Shoppe Pepsi
Also, miss Sundance Sparklers
& Minute Maid Sparkling Lemonade.
Surge and crystal pepsi was my favorites.
I don't know about royal crown draft cola but my wife gets royal crown cola and cherry cola every day for the last 10 years also known as RC cola
Rondo was a citrus soda that claimed it was not sticky if you spilled.
Then there was no sugar in it
I bought Rondo in glass bottles regularly from Ultra Foods in Merrillville Indiana where it was always on sale. One day I noticed something in the bottom of one of the bottles. Through the greenish-yellow glass and pop, it looked like a finger, though not the right shape. I never opened the bottle. Years later, my brother opened it not knowing I was keeping it unopened. It turned out to be a wad of bubblegum, probably from a previous person and it didn't come out when they washed the bottle. I still have the empty bottle.
7Up gold was nectar of the gods.
I remember Mistic Juice from the 90s. It wasn’t considered soda but was marketed as a sparkling spring water drink. Peach Vanilla was my favorite.
my local Dollor tree stil sells Frostie Drinks
The ones in Austin sometimes has Shasta sodas.
Always loved Royal Palm ….
I buy and drink squirt all the time.
I used to LOVE Tab. But at some point years ago they added aspartame to it and didn't take out the saccharine. So that meant there was TWO ARTIFICIAL SWEETNERS in Tab at the same time! It made it so sweet that it became impossible for human consumption! I've been a Diet Coke-aholic since 1986 because of it!
Frosties blue cream soda is still sold at some Bev Mos. I get it whenever I can find it, sometimes they have it and I will buy as many bottles as they have.
What about “Rondo”??? ..loved that soda..it was a grapefruit soda I think 👍🏼
shasta only exists in hospitals for ginger ale
I've seen Shasta cola too in mini cans in the nursing homes I contract with.
Hubba Bubba bubble gum flavored soda was *AWESOME!* 👍 Oh, how I wish they'd bring that back!🤗
I agree and considering half the ones mentioned here are still available, sodas like hubba are truly extinct. BTW jolt is also back
You forgot Ale 8. I liked it.
Is Ale 8 not around anymore? I miss it too but it's regional to Kentucky, i thought they still made it
@@GotTheBestLigma : Ale-8-One is available in the Cin City (Cincinnati, OH) USA Metro area, and I'm hearing through the grapevine that their craft cola Roxa Cola is on it's way here in both fully sweetened and Zero Sugar formulas; to that I say bring it on - I want to try that with my long deceased Ma's favorite Bourbon, Echo Spring!
I miss Welch's Grape Soda. Best grape soda of all time. 🍇
Have you tried nu grape?
@@shanebess1 Not yet, but I definitely am up to try it. Grape soda and barbecue = a match made in heaven.
I get Welch's from my local sandwich shop. It tastes good, but not as good as it used to be. I guess that it's in a plastic bottle and not in an aluminum can.
@@judibickford5306 Good to know it still exists. Hopefully I can find it in California.
@@TheTrumpReaper sold in asia quite regularly seen it on a recent video of a model named han hyejin
I haven't seen either in years so idk if discontinued or not but as a kid, I loved Fresca and Cactus Coolers
I bought a 6-pack of Fresca the other day at my local grocery store.
@@landonpotts6815 nice!
I see Cactus Cooler all the time in my local Vons
I loved Aspen! It had a great apple flavor with the soda fizz.
7up Gold, I still crave it 😢
Some of these are still being made. As for the ones that aren't, the only one I miss is Hires. It was one hell of a root beer.
They left out Lifesavers, the candy flavored soda. Their flavors were Cherry red, Orange, lemon yellow, Pina Colada, and lime green. I think they also had Grape flavor too. This was at every birthday party I went to as kid growing up in the 90s.
One drink I miss is Delaware Punch, although it's been debatable whether or not it can be classified as a soda since it's base was regular water and not soda water. Some places say it's a soda, some do not. However, it had all the other makings of a soda. It got the axe in 2020 due to the pandemic.
I liked OK soda. If I remember right it was sort of an orange flavored cola. It reminded me of going to the soda fountain and making a "suicide" where you mix all the available flavors.
Crystal Pepsi and clear cream soda ❤
SUGGESTION: PLEASE BRING THEM ALL BACK IN GLASS BOTTLES!!!!
The only one I miss and want back is Hires Root Beer!
We do want the old sodas back old-school ones from old-school Coca-Cola old-school Pepsi and Dr Pepper and one of my favorite root beers of all times dad’s root beers. I’m 40 years old and I do love the Coca-Cola song always Coca-Cola give me a thumbs up or a comment.
I had no idea that Pepsi already did the lemon flavored cola thing with Pepsi Light. When I think of lemon flavored cola, I think of Pepsi Twist, which could be considered a descendant of Pepsi Light. That was on the market some 20 years ago now. I actually wish that Pepsi would bring that back as I liked Pepsi Twist.
I used to drink tab when I was a kid.
I miss Jolt
Back in the 80's, I worked at the notorious Jockey Club, the late and lanted punk club in The Original Sin City, Newport, KY, USA where we created the mixed drink The Vermin, which was Jolt & Jack Daniels and was so popular even our competition at Bogart's began serving it.......
Sprecher soda while more widely known for their root beer makes a sparkling lemonade ( just make sure to look for the word sparkling on the label because they bottle a non sparkling) that's a close Quirst analog.
Not being a coffee drinker I remember grabbing a big ol bottle of Jolt on the way into work on a Saturday shift after a little bit too much Friday night fun in my misspent wild days of my 20s.
I'd love to find a good peach soda around Chicago. Several grocery store brands had it around here but haven't seen it in at least 10 or 11 years now.
And finally early 90s Arizona tea came out but not only did they premiere the teas but they also had a line of soda Arizona Cowboy Pops came in root beer, cola, cherry cola, vanilla cola and chocolate cola as well as a few other flavors that escape me at the moment. Lasted only 5ish years as part of Arizona's beverage line and disappeared about the time Arizona got bought out by a larger corporation.
I live in Pittsburgh and was shocked to find out that we can still get Squirt and Tab! I used to love that stuff.
