9 Things That Defined Women In The 1970s
Loojs all very yummy !
Loved choc-o-lite until one day I had $1 and bought 5 of them. I ate them all in one sitting and after the fifth one I was kind of tired of them.
And here we are again= looking for these versatile sandwiches =budget friendly
So many memories. View master was awesome
Does anybody else remember the penny candy section at 7-11?
Most of these cakes are made on the Great British Baking Show. I've made some and my family loves them. I don't think so many are not interested in eating them, they just don't want to take the time to make them. My dad used to buy the Tom & Jerry mix every winter. I miss him. I haven't seen the mix at the store for 30 years.
NO. Processed âfoodâ is NOT food!!!đ€ąđ€ź Poison to your body. Wake up already
I do miss the K-Mart BLUE LIGHT SPECIALS. it was a great place to shop on a budget.
Rice-a-Roni seems to be a variation of " arabic rice " My mom made it ( Ami rice - she called it ) sometimes and I loved it to eat with a lot of a specific curry-ketchup! Never found out her recepi, the neares I came to was arabic rice ... but now I will experiment with Rice-a-Roni recepies! ThX đ ( from Germany )
Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. đđGrace and peace be unto you and to this place. God bless you. đ€đ€đ€đđđ€đ€đ€. Thank you. Will you believe and receive Jesus Chas your LORD and personal saviour??? I do. đ€
This is more a list of clasic upscale meals. I think I have had almost all of them in the last year on cruises.
Many of us still eat a lot of these. Legit made a tuna melt 3 days ago. I make potato cakes too, fried bologna. Panera has a turkey and cranberry sandwich, and I eat SPAM homemade McDonaldâs egg McMuffins (use maple SPAM sometimes instead of Canadian bacon/ham) many times a week. I also bought a box of Jiffy cornbread this week. I know people who still eat peanut butter and pickle and peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. I also still eat peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Meaning some of this is still eaten quite a bit :).
Why was that a problem. Kids are less responsible today than before!
In France, most of these desserts are always there, except gelo. The commentator said these desserts was abandonned because there's ingredients not healthy (sugar, butter, oil) ? are you serious ? It's not a rumor to said that the actual american pastry are the most not healthy at all of the world because there to much sugar, fat and not natural flavor. The past pastry was more simple.
Who has ever had ANY of these meals ?
Mutual of Omahaâs Wild Kingdom and The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights!
We stall use a wall mounted can opener lol.
I remember manwiches.
The last time I had school lunches was junior high so the early 70s. (We didnât have lunch time at all in high school. Because of overcrowding, we had split sessions.) Our pizza was two halves of a burger bun with some cheap tomato sauce and a couple sprinkles of shredded cheddar, accompanied by a side of canned corn and potato chips. The only other one I can remember is the hoagie, which, if you come from a place where delis rule, you didnât want to eat. (If my school had served cream corn, I would have asked to be homeschooled.) You could buy chocolate milk, orange drink, ice cream sandwiches, and creamsicles separately. Cafeteria lunch was called âplatter.â You had to say in homeroom if you planned to have platter and got a little square of cardboard for your 50Âą
I got married in 1977 and my Mom made these desserts in the 1960s. She frequently made meringues so not sure what changed in the 80s?
â€â€â€
I still have spam and pineapple, but with a rice ball that they call Spam Musabi, and a local tavern does a peanut butter and bacon burger! YUM
"RIce pilav"? That is a "nashi pear" right there. "Pilav" means "rice", just as "nashi" means "pear".
Terrible, very narrow video. Not full frame.
Iâm not sure where they come up with the idea that these have been forgotten. These are staples at home and while dining out many of them going back three or four generations. Sidebar, please get an announcer that can speak correctly!
Im 35 and glad these are not the norm.
Great place to get pot
Swanson was the best one. They had real meat not processed or chopped and press.
People taking the titles way too literal. đ
We call "corn souffle" scalloped corn in Wisconsin.
I last made Beef Wellington for a steampunk dinner, when I was not-yet-courting the woman that is now my wife.
11:17 *Vienna Sausages!* I still LOVE these. Perfect everyday food, as well as storage food for emergencies.
I donât even want to mention what the jello tuna mold đ looks like, & I did eat tuna & mostly anything, but jello & tuna? I canât get over it.
Not done yet, but he is losing me after the Tamale đ« or Jiffy casserole.
Pretty sure all of these are still eaten to this day....
My dad would take me and .my brother to Zayre in Daytona and you would think we struck oil then we'd go eat at Quincys..oh boy those were good times...thanks dad ripâ€
Millionaire Pie is still a holiday favorite in my house.

I also worked at Casa Bonita, washing dishes. Worst promotion I ever got was being promoted to pots and pans. Didn't get out till 2:00 am. Was back to dishes the next day.
Where's the Bit-O-honey?
My Mom worked at K-Mart for years, she would start after Halloween until Christmas Eve. She first was a check out clerk, then they promoted her to housewares stocker, after my baby sister graduated from high school Mom became a full time worker. After a couple of months of working full time her boss offered her a job in the office. She even had to take night school classes in computer's as the office required the office manager to know how to use a computer. My Dad was getting ready to retire from GMC and started looking for farm land as he like Mom grew up on a farm. So Mom continued at K-Mart to help buy the farm land. They needed to get a Mobile home to live in and get a barn built and a tractor, plow, disc, wagon and corn crib. After 3 years in Troy,Mich. The headquarters decided to build a K-Mart in Bad Axe and they asked Mom if she'd be interested in transferring to the new store and she can set up the office the way she wants it set up. So she accepted the offer because she could be with Dad and still work at K-Mart. So glad she passed away before the store closed permanently.
4:57 Green Bay, Wisconsin!
What, no devil's food cake?
I tried to hang in there, I really did. Started strong with the tuna melt. But the olive loaf, the Spam, the ravioli sandwich, and the tuna jello had me gaggin.
Any of them except Tab. It really sucked!
I miss Mervyns. I worked for Mervyns for 5 years. I loved that job
I've not been there in 10 years but how is Roy Rogers doing?
HoJo'a's last stop after a night of dancing. Man, fried clams and fries with a milkshake. Thanks' for the memores.
The kid of the Deviled Ham Spread commercial đđđđâ đ
chi-chi worked where I lived , the Northeast. The only place to get Mexican food,
