Nosferatu is a version of the Dracula tale. That is why it has the Dracula aesthetic.

That makes sense! I had a feeling but didn't know for sure, thank you for that!!!

The original Nosferatu is basically a German film "adaption" (rip-off 😅) of the Dracula novel. Dracula takes place in England, while Nosferatu takes place in Germany. Otherwise, they both have a very similar storyline: a town is terrorized by a greusome, undead vampire. That's why this story probably looks so familiar.
But apparently Count Orlok (Nosferatu) is much more vicious and demonic than Count Dracula.

Oh snap and Count Dracula was pretty vicious but I am curious of this German adaptation. Going to do some research on it

The reason why a lot of vampire films are set in the 19th century, is that was when Gothic fiction was super popular. Bram Stoker's Dracula was published in 1897.
So, having modern Gothic fiction set in the 1800s is just fitting into the history.
Also, a lot of Western vampire folklore originated in Eastern/Southeastern Europe.

That makes sense! I definitely got the aesthetic down. I’m up for a good vampire flick

Lol I don’t see how me reacting to a trailer that has evil aesthetics means that I’m evil. So if I watch a trailer of rich aesthetics then I’m rich? It’s not that deep buddy 😎

Fact: Willem Dafoe did play max schreck in the documentary movie of Nosferatu (1922) called "shadow of the vampire " (2000).

Nobody is giving credit to the monica belluci/keira knightley lookalike Lily Rose Depp.
