- It's about time I did a proper video introducing my 2001.
This siren came from Noblesville, Indiana, where it was replaced by a 2001-130. It was manufactured in 1989, and is the 163rd 2001 produced. Currently, it is under restoration at my home in Maryland.
This video is it being tested at WSS where I acquired it. The siren had stiff brushes (makes sense, it was sitting for 2 years), and Mike and Brendan from WSS took time out of their day to replace them for me. I am so grateful to them, and also grateful to my mother, who had the kindness to drive me up to Michigan.
The 2001 is in good hands! This won't be another Darley 7T incident.

We swapped the brushes because it wasn't healthy. The reason it only got to like 1/3 pitch was because the brushes were extremely stiff. Also gave it a STH-10 wind down lol
Amazing how such mildly quiet sirens you don't need ear protection for while on the pole can be so loud on the ground
They're pretty loud up on the pole too in my opinion.
And also my camera was like 7 feet in front of it lol

My brother in christ I literally own the siren. It says "SRN" on the tag.
