    • @Florissvdv
      @Florissvdv Před 4 lety +17

      In the current environment, that'll never happen. But who knows, if 95% of cars on the road are EVs (or some other environment saving solution) it might save petrol cars that are really more a hobby than transportation (think similar to how classic cars are exempt from MOTs and road tax at a certain age). Here's hoping anyway.

    Forget Hollywood quality production values - we're talking advertising agency quality production values, i.e. "million-dollar-per-fifteen-seconds-of-footage" type values! Kudos to the production team for managing this level of quality on what I imagine is a tiny fraction of an ad agency's budget.

    This new car has doors, one on each side, for ease of ingress. It has seats, one for each occupant. Widows are in place to gain visual reference to the surroundings. Not only for our pleasure but also to gauge possible hazards. There is an engine installed to allow motivation to the wheels, both forwards and backwards(incase you park nose in) Forwards even has higher gears or two for rapid transit. Braking is now achieved through pressure applied to a pedal and directional decisions can be made at just the turn of a wheel. This new car has everything.

    Hi Carfection, Can you do one video on the Merc 190e Evo 2. I believe it's a cool piece of kit. People show some love so that Carfection sees this.

    I don't remember the roof issue being mentioned around the time of the 458. Issues about Ferrari's always seem to appear after they've left production.

      I remember hearing about it back when the 458 Spider was released. Possibly even from Henry himself. But back than it was common in open top cars.

    I'm so glad you guys did this review. I found other f8 reviews to be not very descriptive of what it's like to actually drive. A lot of rambling. Not here. Thank you. Also, maybe you shouldn't have shown all the arachnids in the opening shots? Many people don't like them. I had to get used to them at 18y/o. My employer, the U.S. Army forced me to go to the desert in California and sleep on the ground, in their neighborhoods. Funny, to open you're sleeping bag and find a tarantula. Hey, it was a living.

    5:47 FDE so break vectoring? I mean its not ground breaking technology. A MK7 GTI had one but obviously not as complicated or precise but its the same tech

    Fantastic review. And I miss visiting Glasgow for pizza from Little Italy - one of the best places for pizza that genuinely does taste like it was shipped from Italy just for you!
    Byres Road in case you're wondering.

      @Amarjit Singh I have to warn you I have skills. I will find you for making comments like that and use those skills on you. And I warn you, that picture was taken when I was in Dunkin Donuts, so you know just how scary that can be.

      @Amarjit Singh You really need stop using the internet. It's not good for you. Obviously you can't play nice with others, so you're better just playing with yourself instead.

    Modena was Enzo's birthplace but the Italian colours were the ones his cars always (apart from the blue one off entry) always wore. Enzo used to say that a Ferrari should be red, or at least yellow; the latter colour being the fall back plan.

    But the 488 looks & sounds better. We never really need the added performance realistically so 488 it is.

      And the F355 sounded better, it was more raw. And 380HP was more than enough for anything, especially with that weight, we didn’t need more than that.

    The servicing is NOT free or warranty, obviously it’s part of the overall cost of the car.
    Average mileage for a Ferrari is estimated to be around 4K , this why they can offer 7 years maintenance and warranty, they just don’t get used.
