- With Pokemon X and Y being a whole decade old (yeah, i know) I wanted to see if my memory served me right. Are they good games, or bad games? With Pokemon Legends ZA right around the corner I put my research hat on and literally did everything.. so enjoy the ride! i'd love to make more like this in future...

Ah, X and Y. I remember when it came out and spending hours playing it and shiny hunting friend zones. Good times

My first game was moon. I’ve never played any Pokemon games that came out before because my 3ds broke, but I really want to try some of the older games :)
@@Gentledude. Pokemon is a wholesome era. I still thank and curse the boy for getting me into it just before Red and Blue came to the US lol. Nintendo owns my soul thanks to him

"I'm making sure to not overlevel" "the gyms are pretty soft" and he's with a lvl 40 talonflame in a lvl 30ish grass gym💀
"Making sure not to overlevel *too much*" he's at pretty similar levels to what a casual player would be if they were catching even just a decent amount of pokemon for the dex, or if they made sure to battle every trainer along the way. Purposefully being under or at the level of the gym leaders is usually a nuzlocke rule, and this run definitely is not one. He's just trying to experience the game like a completionist might have back when the game came out
I don't think X and Y are bad games. To me, they just feel rushed and incomplete. It feels like something is missing and it just feels unsatisfying.
Been a problem, till this day
XY is a special game for me; for it introduced my favorite Pokémon, Malamar, and introduced my least favorite evil team, but third favorite bad team leader… it’s a weird moment. It’s been a good game, but I will say, overall, 7/10- not enough water.

No lie, the "not enough water" is a fair point. Wish we got a whole water area to explore, that'd be fun.
X and y are my FAVORITE Pokémon games. They have the best Pokémon on average,megas,cozy vibe,best fossils,Noivern,cool gym designs and based on croissant land!!! Who could ask for more?

I replayed this for the first time since it came out last year and honestly I had a lot of fun. I was actually shocked that Shauna was the only useful rival/companion. If you think gym 1-2 is long like this, you should see it in the professor oak challenges. Plus mega flower frog, any game is better with a venusaur in it. Also the Valerie battle was like me against Opal, she did say to bring pink, gmax venusaur was the best I had

My brother dropped off playing Pokemon at this generation, he caught Yveltal, named it "MLG", dropped the game and barely played Pokemon Moon because our mom didn't know he dropped Pokemon then. I transferred all his mons to Pokemon Bank and I still have them, the next best mon besides Yveltal was a shiny Vivillon named "Sparkle". X/Y are special to me as the last Pokemon game we played together. He still likes Pokemon and we talk about it, he just doesn't play the games anymore.

I still have my copy of Pokemon Y and not gonna lie, I straight up thought I could beat the Elite Four since I had a Legendary on my team 😅 sadly that didn't happen, i was young and didn't know much! Got close though but kept losing

My favourite part about X and Y is that because it’s in a different timeline a massive war made a geologist and a pirate pick the matching rock that goes with the legendary

I don't think XY are bad games Per Se. Gen 6 did a lot of really good changes going forward, but it's just really, REALLY disappointing. It really sucks that the campaign, the MAIN COURSE and natural Bulk of Generation 6 falls so flat while the post-game with Looker and Emma is so good. It's a real shame and I'm kinda mad the regular story didn't get the same effort and design put in as the Post-Game quest.

I was OBSESSED with the detective missions when I first beat XY to this day I love Emma. I know it's a long shot, but I hope she comes back someday.
X and Y have very special places in my heart. When I was really little and moving into my house with my mom and her boyfriend (now husband), he let me play X on his 3DS to spend the time as my mom painted the rooms. This game, despite its flaws, is special to me.
Also, fun fact! In the anime, Olympia’s fight is a double battle, with two meowstics. A male and a female
X and Y is the only game I haven't fully played through. Not only am I excited to see a Gentlevideo, but now I have motivation to play it! Thank you you beautiful, humble man!

Pokémon X and Y was the first Pokémon game where I understood everything that was going on from natures to EVs and IVs, this is one of my favorite and most nostalgic gens because of it. First time I’ve ever seen your channel but enjoyed it greatly hope to watch more

In all honesty I'm the same to say this but I got stuck on furfroo maze puzzle for almost 3 years until my friend helped me. All of my Pokémon were level 100 and I had gotten eevee from the hotel, i'll be at I was only 10

Y is one of my most nostalgic games, not really for the game itself, but because everyone in my friend group at school had a copy and we'd battle and trade all the time during lunch. I still like shiny hunting in it today

X is definitely an important game for me, as it was my first Pokémon game. It’s definitely easy, but I spent so much time on it and had plenty of fun. Nice to see people going through it.
I didn't know anything about this Looker mission! I played Y for the first time years ago after not playing Pokemon since Ruby. So I was definitely behind on some things. I'm working on playing through X now, so I'll definitely have to do this side mission now that I know about it!

Y was the only pokemon game i was able to want to beat.
gen 4 has some special vibes in my heart so i treat it like an untouched relic
ive played through half of gen 5 so much i just cant
gen 7 was just too long
and i either dont like any unmentioned gem for it being over rated (hottake gen 3 wasnt that good) or just unable to access due to hardware, and i dont think i regret any of that so far. Y was a lovely game, and its only unfortunate it was an omen for future pokemon games to just not have the same sparkle some other games used to have, i really hope Z-A is a faithful and good game so more people can realize the amazing glory of "pokefrance"
These were my first Pokemon games and i’ll just say, they are perfect for newcomers, easy if you’ve played many, but hard for people who don’t know how to really play.

All my oldest Pokémon are from X, it’s not nearly my first Pokémon game but it’s the oldest one that still has my original save file in tact. I have almost 600 hours in it and am only a handful of legendaries away from completing the Pokédex. I spent the last of the 3ds online finishing my vivillon collection and adding as many friends for my friend safari as I could. It will forever have a special place in my heart

I vividly remember people complaining about the style of the avatar becoming less chibi-like as they were in the 2d games. And now years later we got the chibi-like avatar back in bdsp and people are again complaining about it not looking as good as the rest of the 3d games 😂
