How do you slide jump when you under constant fire does it reset infinitely till you are dead/ they miss or can you slide jump after a certain amount of bullets taken

It only affects you after the first bullet, then you should be able to slide after 2-3 steps. It won't keep affecting you after the first bullet.

I'm doing a lot of dead slide when reloading the weapon or when I go to change weapons. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, maybe it's the fact that I have the habit of playing with the shilt pressed all the time... I'm not sure.

To activate the slide jump with weapons holstered you need to take ~1 step before sliding.
But with your weapons out, you need to take ~3 steps before sliding or you'll dead slide!
