Recommend you watch all the way through to not miss out on any of the hints and valuable nuggets. đđșđœđŒđżđđźđ»đ đđđđłđł đŻđČđčđŒđ:
UPDATE: OCTANE'S JUMP-PAD BOOST HAS BEEN REWORKED!
The devs at Respawn overhauled how the Jump-Pad works, so you when you slide into it, it will launch you farther and lower, vs standing on it, where you'll be thrown in a higher arc but not as far. So all in all, we now have different ways to Jump-Pad as of Season 8.
NOTE: It's been pointed out that I still managed to miss a few techniques, tap-strafing being one of them. No worries, I will release another video detailing these techniques as well. I'll just have to call it "The 'Second' Only Movement Technique Guide You Need" lol.
You really wanna know how to pull off the movement techniques you see pros doing in Apex Legends? Well in this episode of Level Up, I'll show you how to stick them all and help you become a #Movement God, or at the very least, a movement Demigod.
IMPORTANT:
I tried to only include techniques here that are most likely mainstays and won't eventually get patched out of the game. I purposely left out close-quarters strafing and aim-strafing because I really wanna dedicate a whole video to those topics, and also stop this video from being 30+ mins long.

Bunnyhop into the Discord my doods!
oh, cool
Hey! I canât seem to get down slide strafing on controller any tips
Ay I know I'm a bit late but I've I've a question, you keep saying 'then strafe' live in the bounce vault section. Is strafing just moving or is it more complicated?
Nah strafing is just the term for holding either left or right. So yea it's just sideways input.
Bruh this has the potential to be the most complete Apex guide i've seen in a while. Ik it isn't complete as yet but keep the videos coming.
Thanks bro! For sure, got a lot planned. Will update as necessary as the Seasons roll on.
Lyric also did one, you should watch it if you want to see more
@@SuitMonkey bruh your guide helped me get my first 2k badge. Good stuff man I love the content
@@SuitMonkey jitter sliding makes me cry as a revenant main
Just found your vid and I have to say wow. Soothing voice, easy explanation with demonstrations, no nonsense and straight to it with the information. Cant wait to see what else you release moving forward
Finally someone talks about jitter sliding! I use it all the time! Lol my team mates usually.laugh and think its a joke
same as well
I always thought it was a sad attempt of bunny hopping.
I found out about hitter sliding when I was playing grand soire third person ltm, I did it on accident
Is it still doable?
Yeah
Yeah. You are going places man... Comfortably the best apex guides on youtube.
Hopefully your channel sees some exponential growth in the next few months. It'll be very much deserved.
16:40 This has changed now with season 8. Walking/sprinting will send you really high but not as far, whereas crouching or sliding will send you further but not as high.
Yea jump pads are kinda insane now. I updated the video description to clarify. Thanks bro.
Dude everyone knows this the video was out before season 8
@@lordmoncef5494 but newbies like me doesnt know anything before season8
@@nahrafff yh but newbies won t be able to do most of these moves
@@lordmoncef5494 really đ im not newbies anymore HAHAHA. Imma octane main so I actually learn all of these and yeah. Its ez to learn tho.
Actually THE BEST movement guide EVER made on CZcams! Very articulate when explaining the steps and very informative when it came to demonstration and showing in game clips! This channel deserves all the likes and subs. I can only imagine the effort that it took to make this helpful guide. Thank you so much!
This is the best video I've ever seen for Apex in any sense. Got straight to the point explained everything very well, and never got off topic. Amazing hope your channel keeps growing
This is what I've been looking for! Its easier to understand cause of the subs and the other things you did. Excellent video my dude!
this is what I looking for cuz I'm a newbie, this video really helpful, I just subscribed and I share to all my friends cuz u deserve to get more subs and viewers :)
Really means a lot to hear that man. More vids incoming!
Here on march 7/ 2022 and can vouch this is one of the best movement guide out there. Appreciate the work and will definitely implement this to my gameplay, THANKS!!!.
I appreciate that u labeled the sections and stuff in the vid, it makes it really easy to come back and find stuff if I need to rewatch
Your video was by far the best tutorial for movement. The best explination so far, great job!
I jitter slide in game a lot and have done it since I started playing. It's actually really good at making you essentially sniper-proof. Most snipers are unable to hit a jitter sliding player moving perpendicular to them. Just dont move towards/away from the sniper.
Insane production quality!
What an masterpiece of a video and the quality wow. Thx so much. Keep the amazing work coming.
Very nice guide! Structured and easy to understand with alot of information. The best guide on movement Ive seen, thx man
Omg thank you, i thought i was doing something wrong when i was learning the zip line zig zagging , i couldnt do more than 3 times and i was very frustrated because i saw some guy doing the entire zipline like that, this guide is awesomeee!
The quality of this video is absolutely amazing. this is extremely impressive, canât believe you have under 1k subs. I just subbed, keep up the great content!
"can't believe you're under 1k subs"

"can't believe you're under 1k subs"

Damn that was a really nice video. Im surprised you only have 12k subs cause you definitely deserve more. Subscribed.
Dude I watched a 45 min video on the basics with the same techniques and this one by far blows the other one out of the water. What I love is that you add what we are doing wrong too where there it's too late or too early. I haven't even gone through the whole video yet and I couldn't thank you enough for this video đ
I got you covered brotha.
1 year has passed and this is still the best guide
I remember watching aceu's movement guide when I started playing Apex at the end of season 6 and worked on my Bounce Vault for something like 40h because in my eyes it was the most cool looking mechanic in the game. Mastering mouvements mechanics in Apex improved my gameplay in pretty much every game... Tho I am still working on my map knowledge and gamesense to incorporate these techniques in-game
Thank you for the CLEAR explanations on these moves. I FINALLY figured out how to wall jump because of this. Thanks!
yoooo thank you for taking the time to split up ur vid and everything into segments!!!!! this is really comprehensive, and as someone who does most of these already i still learned something!
also for anyone who bothers to read this: if you have fast momentum from path grapple or octane jumppad, i personally like to maintain air velocity by sliding off the edges of ledges. if u do this correctly u get a small boost and stay in the air (maintaining ur 1000+ velocity) and redirect horizontally. that way you dont lose speed from sliding too long, as this is faster than just sliding down a steep hill.
the drawbacks are 1. its hard to find ledges that line up correctly for you to chain 2-3 of these (esp when you already have to account for your initial landing off a grapple), and 2. if you DO pull it off, you're so fast it's hard to control where you land (my biggest problem is smacking into a wall at 1200 at the end and losing all my momentum). its initially hard to memorize what ledges work and where, but loot crates, supply drops, fences and even enemy heads are all fair game. (i once slid off someones head while landing and proceeded to zip right off the map lmao) i think its something to do w the game trying to force you to not collide w objects when you're going that fast so instead it boosts you out. im probably wrong since im not a dev LOL
(also if ur path makes a 2nd zipline right next to the a first one--god forbid WHY--you can dodge bullets by switching between them)
I just cannot believe you dont have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. The thumbnails, editing, and CONTENT. It feels good to be here early.
Thanks so much! Currently working on more vids.
@@SuitMonkey Don't stop. It's only a matter of time until you get the attention you *really* deserve

Just figured about you recently but keep going man youâre awesome!
One of the most clean detailed organized guide movement video for apex EVER!
Just downloaded apex last week, thank you for the guide!
I already knew this stuff but for new players i think this would be a great guide ima send it to my n00b friends XD
Best tutorial all I have seen in a while and pog ur movement!!!!
thanks for the video man, keep it up!
Holy shit literally the only person teaching the important shit
This is the best movement system I've ever seen in a goddamn shooting game. Beautiful.
Titanfall 2 was this on crack
@@qcydios GAH damn I take back what I said, I forgor bout titanfall, shit had the best movement mechanics for a shooting game.
These are really good man. Keep it up and this channel will be big
Man, great video. Being musically inclined that 153bpm tip was goated. Earned a like and sub. đđŒ
great video
most fun part about apex is barely even the shooting, but learning cool techniques c:
Conclusion: know movement= you git gud
Oh boy, I just practiced both ur episodes for 30 min, I got a hattrick of wins 1 in public 2 in ranked. Thanks man real helpful.
Great vid my dude. Packed with useful infođȘđ»
I personaly Think that this guide is the Last one i'll ever need
true its a very good guide. I got into apex again recently and want to improve movement. best guide i've found so far.
to the ones that dont get the wall jump:
- it is essential to stop pressing any other key when you jump at the wall
- try to hear the sound that you make when you smash against the wall
that helped me a lot
Something I began practicing more with my wall jumps is that I airstrafe into the wall with a side input. Let go and then bounce off the wall whilst holding the opposite strafe button. Doing this has two benefits. Your bounce gains more momentum and you gain the ability to bounce off smaller walls whereas you would normally lose your momentum to a small climb animation. Mokeysniper has a more in depth tutorial regarding this.
@@leek_san true, thanks man
Also bind jump to scrollwheel.
@@chenlu666 I didn't mention this since I believe the video has already done so. But I myself use it as it gets me 100% consistent.
This is very well made! You really went into much detail and it's also great for new players. Good job :D
genuinely the most useful video ive seen on movement
2:00 I discovered this and have been using it for several seasons now đ

This is such an awesome guide I'm definitely coming back for the rest. I'm just now gettin into Apex and this is has been such a huge help.
great video and walk through man, appreciate you breaking it down to the science as well.
Great Vid,
"side note" that accent definitely has a hint of bajan in it
You would be correct đŻ
Dude this game feels so FUCKING insane now, thank you man!
amazing editing and really straight forward. keep it up!
This video is so awesome! Thanks for making such a brief and complete guide
Btw for anyone confused with bunny hopping try doing it with a gun, each hop should involve your gun doing a little bob up and down (it looks really awkward but trust)
11:41 It's probably been said already, but I'm too lazy to check the comments XD You can still b-hop heal with some legends. The way the nerf works is that it puts a cap on your velocity while healing, however movement abilities override that cap, allowing for b-hop heals. Examples that come to mind are Octane's stim, Bangalore's double time passive and Bloodhound in his Ultimate.
Can't wait for the rest of these videos!
Such a good video, to bad you don't have more views man, you deserve it, keep it up and you will get there!
This just gave me a headache. Awesome and, at the same time I'm trying to figure out how to use them all ehne I can barely focus on not getting shot... Lol
No worries man, Apex has a lot of techniques lol. You'll master em in no time. Glad you enjoyed.
@8:29 you left out a very important piece of this - for the wall bounce in order for you to bounce backwards instead of just falling flat to the ground, you have to also pull back (reverse) right as you tap jump when you make contact with the wall, otherwise you will just jump in place and fall right below.
^ this above comment actually isnât true. i was doing fatigue jumps without knowing it, so i was pushing stick forward to stick to wall, then pulling back to jump straight up in the air, BUT if you want to walk bounce like slide jump wall bounce you donât have to touch the left joystick at all to bounce off, you just have to press jump when you stick to the wall
Suscribed many videos ago and definitely telling all my friends! Thanks for sharing this knowledge in such clear and straight forward manner, awesome vids!
Awesome content again, definately going to practice it a lot
yooo fyi that took out the jump boost off the jump pad. you no longer get a boost while pressing jump as you hit it. idk when they took it out but it longer gives you a boost. ig bc they added the second jump so they patched that machanic.
Yea unfortunately, Respawn said that the Super Jump got removed as a result of an accidental fix from the Season 7 update. They do however want you to still be able to access the higher arc, so there're plans to put it back in the game, but with a different way of doing it since pressing jump right after jumping off the jump-pad was fighting for inputs. We gotta wait and see because they said they don't feel it's bad enough to warrant a hot-fix.
No way I wondered why it didnât feel the same
So wall jumping for taken out off the game
@@Krombopulos Nah not Wall-Jumping, people would riot lol. It's the Super Jump from Octane's jump pad that's temporarily removed.
@@SuitMonkeycool thx also I trying the wall jumping and Iâm really bad at it
lol the "jitter slide" i found that out my self and me and my friend just kept spamming it for trolls cuz how funny it looks
does it still works?
@@lomuus yea
getting a pc for apex soon, definitely coming back to this video. Subbed too, great content đ
Btw this legit the best working video of how to on movement great job and hope alot of ppl find this to get better
Hereâs a list of anyone needs it
. Integrate âslide 180âsâ into your regular playing, possibly during fights in order to increase distance from enemy while maintaining vision
. Integrate âslide strafingâ into your regular playing style to move around corners and change direction with speed and in an unexpected manner
. Use âledge slidingâ to integrate a smooth transition between sliding and running. After climbing a ledge slide in the pause animation.
. âEdge and reverse edge slidingâ. Slide off edges backwards and forwards to gain speed.
. âWall jumpingâ can be used with any wall by running towards it, jumping then pressing jump when hitting it and transferring their momentum forwards.
. âWall voltâ. Momentum from wall jumping can also be transferred over the wall to jump over the wall without climbing
. âForward climbingâ. If you hold forward towards and wall while climbing it, you can change your direction of climbing and not fall off.
thx
I feel bad for that Octane at the end because his teammate blocked all of his shots. As an Octane/Lifeline main I felt that on a spiritual level.
Thanks for the powerup dude I hope soon I'll become an actual monster in this game and tips like this will help me greatly
Very compact and useful guide. Thanks!
Don't think I saw you mention it, but jumping seems faster than zipping downwards, so if you want to drop fast but avoid the speed debuff from landing, you can just hop down near a zip and latch on with E at the very end to avoid the debuff.
That's correct, thanks bruv.
@@SuitMonkey Thanks for the rest of the tips!
After testing this, Apex went from playing Orisa to playing Doomfist
This was amazing! Sub well earned friend
fantastic guide , very good explanation!!!
Dude I just downloaded apex a few months ago and you have given me my first kill leader, all "win match as" badges. Plus U don't recommend switching jump to scroll đđ
Congrats brother!!!!
Yea definitely assign a secondary jump input to scroll. I talk about that in the Movement Guide Part 2 where I teach how to tap strafe and super jump.
This doesn't work for players who have been using space their whole lives.
I tried ain't happening.
@@SuitMonkey Yo Pls upload more!!!!
@@nexxusty Spend an hour doing it, you'll get it plus you only use the wheel for jumping when you want to spam jump to bunny hop etc, you don't need to if you're just regular jumping
Such a good guide! I am having trouble with the "bounce vault". My bounce takes me too far from the wall to strafe back over it, and it takes more time then just climbing the wall. I cannot replicate that fluid way you hop to the top. Any advice?
same
It's a lot easier if you learn air strafing. Look it up. Essentially, pressing W key many times repeatedly to force the direction move. You can also key bind W to your mouse wheel.
Ty so much for the tutorial. Other tutorials out here explain it like you already know it but you explain it thoroughly.
I really like this guide SM, great editing
Pretty sure i hear a jamaican accent...i know it anywhere, love from trinidad brother!
Close! it's Bajan, much love brother!
i only started hearing the accent after reading this
When i tried teaching my friend slide jump Xd some year ago he did jitter slide instead Xd. i had never seen it before lol
I just found your account today and have been watching your videos. Your content is amazing!
Great guide! I started playing again since season 2-3 so this is helpful
damn wish physics would just work like apex legends irl
just realized i learned jitter sliding without meaning too lol
nice video! pretty detailed. thanks! Liked it and subscribed
Subbed cause it's the best guide out there tbh i shared it to my friend
i cant figure out the bounce vault, what's the key inputs that i need to do after the wall jump? holding d/a to strafe hasn't worked for me so far
Hold forward as well. The most important part of the bounce vault is the angle of entry and then pointing your camera where you wanna go after you wall jump.
but what is the EXACT cooldown on the slide?
I just started playing like a few days ago and honestly Iâm on controller but all these tips helped you so much you donât even understand my game play changed after a few of ur videos and a good day of practice
This was really dope man, thanks!
I do "jitter sliddding" all the time bc my friend hates seeing it
I cant land the Bounce Vault on the lower walls, I can do the high walls and then jump the lower walls. I can't seem to land a smooth wall bounce onto the lower walls. It keeps going into the wall climb animation and then I can press jump for wall bounce but I'm losing the momentum to get higher than the lower wall to get over it. any help?
Edit: found the solution. when trying to bounce on smaller lower walls/objects press d or a just before hitting the wall. (which keys depends on the direction your going when you face the wall, just hit the left or right strafe that will keep you moving to your intended direction)
Man the quality of this video is crazy good, underrated af
This is really well done!
Damn they really did you dirty changing jump pads so much, pretty much that entire section is now wrong, except punching the jump pad to go straight up lol.
If I missed it somewhere in this video I'm sorry, but you really should have mentioned tap strafing. Especially for Octane players, that's like cheat codes. Instantly bumps your game up a notch.
true
That's all explained in part 2. đ
Right. Now i just need to aim
You only have 1340 subs but your video quality is insane.I really hope you will become big content creator someday. Keep up this great work love you man
finally someone that explains wall jumping step to step. Been playing since season 4 and haven't been able to master it. I'll try this đđ
U can do EVERYTHING here besides Jump boosting, and I'm on controller. But it doesn't look at cool or swift. đ
Thank you for the info! I was wondering if any of these got patched or something.
Bro they nerfed everything... I didn't even know they nerfed the ziplines.... I watched a movement guide but it was out of date, so I was trying to do things on a zipline but always fall down. Now I know why.
Really good tips dude, well done!
