These days more and more men stay at home so that part of your comment is also inaccurate. Over the top showing of cupboards at the expense of other features and the price not being displayed are the two most complained about issues. We used these videos as research we knew all about the concept of narrow boating but nothing about them when we started and these put us in the position to know exactly what we wanted.
A pity no one replied to you however better late than never. Rachel X R&D are the people that built the narrow boat shell verses Beacon Boats who did the internal fit out. Some builders do both shells and fit out but most seem to concentrate on one or the other. An example a tall person will always favour Liverpool Boats as their interior headroom is the highest in the industry.
There is a twin tub in the galley however a lot of people spend a night a fortnight at a marina and do their washing there or take it home. The little machine shown are mainly for small loads, a full size machine requires shore power or a lot of solar or generator.

no hanging wardrobes seems rather a mistake...
At a guess the people who built it wear clothes that are folded not hung, it would be quite easy to convert one or even two to hanging though.
