This is my question too. My understanding is that they want you to do the editing within app and if you're not, reach will be affected.
Yes - that's quite possibly a thing due to Instagram SEO. So you could film and edit your video in one app, and then when you want to add text for a Reel, import the video into your Reels editor and use the Instagram caption sticker there. If you're not sure if it will make a difference or not with your reach, I always suggest trying out a couple of different things and experimenting to see what happens!

Both! I have max storage on my phone, but I also backup my files.
If you want your video synched up with the sound, how do you make sure it’s a tending one from Instagram?

I mostly edit on my phone, but CapCut's desktop version is great too! Not sure it has all the same features, but it should have many of them. 😊

Good question! I record my screen while filming myself and then my YT video editor puts it all together, but you can do the same thing with a tool called Screenflow. :)

Did something change with cap cut? Now they all have watermarks unless uploaded to TikTok directly? Did they get acquired?
They are owned by the same company as TikTok. Do you have the paid version?

Great video thanks! Question about the music though, can you export from CapCut with the music or is it best to add the music in the individual SM apps? Just thinking about copyright issues
I like to use the features of whichever app I'm doing my uploading in (TikTok, Reels, etc) as much as possible... so if I do the basic edits in this app, and then add music (usually something that's trending) in the TikTok or Reels app... I think that's a good strategy

Autocut doesn’t do that for me. It gives me predone templates and I can’t edit the clips at all. Hmmm. I use CapCut to edit my CZcams videos too
