the opponent has very interesting strategy, but heavily relies on that sole Defog from Tapu Fini
So basically running a pressure staller
Yeah once fini was dead it was over.
It's intresting to see the POV and reflection from the stall side. Even if stall is kinda annoying, it's great to see why you did this or that to keep everything healthy and eliminate menaces.
QOTD: I usually use Hyper Offense or Bulky Offense team, but sometime climbing with a Defensive team or a "funny" stall team (using "unusual" mons like Fire Spin Altaria or things like that) is really fun to me
I think the marowak getting knock off his bone mass was one of the most important play in the match because he lost an awful lot of offensive pressure needed
QOTD:
I usually tried to build a balanced team, but ended up with Hyper Offense + like a Quagsire xD
That's because I really like prepearing with hazards + having a volt-turn-core to pressure my opponent. In every pvp-game I LOVE playing tempo, so I play moves like knock-off, pursuit and leech seeds, so I can at the same time encourage my opponent to switch, while also punishing them (especially with hazards out). I also play with toxic (or at least t-spike) + taunt + whirlwind/roar, just so my opponent can't really set up their gameplan and continously has to react to my decisions.
The good thing about this is: I can super easily pick up new players, or bad stall-players and especially opponin HO.
The problem though are experienced players with good stall-teams. Cause stall doesn't really let you build up tempo from the start. Like you showed in this video, it takes some time to get momentum against stall. And more experienced players understand way better, when they have to stop overpredicting and just press strong attacks.
But I don't mind losing to a good opponent ^^
And this is why Taunt is important
Your vids are compact and surprisingly educational compared to longer gameplay videos where you don't really learn much about the decision making
Am I the only one concerned with that dude's team names??
This team really does counter everything doesn't it?
I love the thought processes with these, on both your side and the opponent's (theoretical) side
QOTD: I typically run non-standard "theme teams", but style-wise, I tend to prefer hyper offense and balance teams. I'm more on the side of having quicker games and results, plus I want my opponent to have a good, fast time too, even if it ends with me getting stomped. (I end up feeling bad playing too defensively even if it's the only way I can win lmao)
plus i like the big, funny damage numbers
I enjoy playing hyper offense it's just more for me stall is still justifiable cuz it's part of the game
That was a great game to watch
Top 10 anime comebacks of all time
This time around i felt you were feeling more frustrated than the opponent who seemed calm
Balance because in any game it's the best strat
QOTD: i usually do offensive teams because stall is kinda annoying but it is part of the game, but I still carry like a chansey/blissey and a toxapex
QotD: Offense, as much as possible, and anything but stall unless I'm desperate.
To break the opponents team all you need was to break the fini alolamola chain
When i played i prefered volturn,it smash stall if you have one stallbraker+ one or two wallbrakers on the team+ pivot pressure
6v6 singles: two for sweep, two for stall/setup, two for coverage/anti-meta gimmicks.
VGC: 1~2 main gimmick, 1~2 main supporting cast, others for coverage/anti-meta.
Crazy reads in the start of the game wow
Why didn't they wish up the thundurus when you were in with hippo lmao
My playstyle is either Hyper Offense or Balance. I use HO more . Last thing I just loath defense or stall.
Would love to learn how to use vgc strategies but I'm more inclined to singles
Youre a great plauer
Hyper aggressive
Opponents team might have won if thunderus wasn't built around nasty plot
I wouldn't call that a very good anti stall team. Yes, it halts the battle to a halt, but bringing two "stall" mons against a full stall isn't gonna win you games if you can't get offensive momentum (which he could not). Also I don't think you "smashed" him, if he played to his own strategy more instead of the very early aggression, it'd have been much closer/a different game.
I played a lot of stall back in the day and a full stall always does this to you, if you meet something with a defensive back bone - You can't really break anything and think you are being anti stalled. Imo a real anti stall team is a balanced offensive, but one that brings a hazard setter which beats MSableye and then takes kills rather than tries to stall you back. I had one of those in gen 6, where I had a very offensive Lando-T, Mega Venusaur with three attacks and taunt magma storm Heatran.
I like the second soundtrack
What are the sets on the Stall team?
I prefer offense since for one I am not super good at stalling (trust me I tried) also I’m not good at choosing defensive Pokémon for some reason
hey same man, i suck at stalling. I am the type of ppl who just likes to go all out and burst.... so ya
QOTD: HO, BO and Balance
ok I don't understand why he switched the fini out of the sableye, you already let it get knocked, if you're whirlpool taunt fog moonblast/draining kiss maybe(?) can't you simply trap every single member of this team and beat them 1v1 except magearna and chansey? tf was that sableye, toxapex, or skarmory gonna do? hippo is kinda strong for a stall mon but you have a whole alomomola to keep fini healthy
anyway I like bulky offense and balance because it feels like they have less auto lose matchups
they were taunt nature madness defog whirloppol
I really don't understand his Marowak set. Also I think he won instantly if he was SD.
Stall games take so lmuch time
What are the stats ? Nice video
"Smash" I would say is exaggerated to describe a battle against a enemy that rendered almost 10min battle, the onyl thing I would say that was missing for him is sub in A-Marowak so he could solid be more agressive.
I mean it's stall 10 minutes is pretty quick lmao
Just wondering why is their wish healing more than 50% I've never seen that before I know I probably sound pretty nooby just haven't seen that
I think it heals 50% of the maximum HP of the move user, so if the user has more HP than the switched pokemon it will heal more
QOTD
Hyper offense
I heavily prefer the stall playstyle. I find it interesting. Sucks that there is basically no gameplay on it for me to watch and learn.
No sand?
pokepast link ? ^^
So nice to see stall struggling
Incorrect
i hate wasting my time over stall shit.
(i have never tried stalling)
I don't like stall bc it's a boring style for me
I won't say it's easy to play it you need to be very patient and planning just i don't like it
did i see an All Out pammeling OHKO Tox? (yeah crit + 2 nasty) Z moves...
i like playing offense because i like to actually play the game
Did you really try making your opponents die of old age?
Stall gay
First
i can confirm that he is in fact first
Congrats on winning with a Skarmory/Toxapex/Chansey stall team 🙄 very exciting and original, definitely not what’s ruining competitive Pokémon
How the fuck is it "ruining Competitive Pokemon"?
@@shpaghettishpaghetti6219 It’s insanely prevalent, there’s little to no counter play; even “anti stall” teams aren’t enough to beat them, it stretches the matches out to hundreds of turns and it’s really dull to watch. Is that enough reasons?
@@ZaqueFrasieur What are you talking about? Most of stall teams get 6-0d by Tapu Lele and Kyurem or can be beaten by a good wallbreaking core, Prads team looks like loses to Magnezone + Banded Kartana. If stall was "rUInIng cOmpEtItIvE pOkEmOn" since Pokemon Sun and Moon released it would probably be banned lol.
@@shpaghettishpaghetti6219 What are YOU talking about? I never said it was literally unbeatable, of course theres a few ways to beat it somewhat consistently but that change the fact its over supported and a complete bore to watch/play against. im just going to ignore that banning argument because thats complete rubbish, you cant ban a concept
@@ZaqueFrasieur "It's a bore to play against" is an opinion. "ruining the game" isn't it's definition. Also, I literally never "argued" about a stall ban. I just said if it was broken, Smogon would do something about it, like add a recovery moves clause or something.
I like stall teams tbh
This is boring
