Monkton, ON NPFD STN. 3 FS&S Model 5B Monthly Fire Siren Test 3/2/24

Well since I haven't seen anything in February and the first of the month was the next day, I decided to check out Monkton for their monthly fire siren test at 10 AM and also go to Tavistock's monthly fire siren test. Monkton went off at 10 AM as planned however when I went to Tavistock for 12 PM to complete the one-for-two deal (2 monthly siren tests in one day) Tavistock never sounded, so I only got 1 out of 2 that day.
- Location: Perth County, North Perth, Monkton, ON, North Perth Fire Station 3.
- Siren: Federal Sign & Signal Model 5B (C2 1/2)
- Testing: First Saturday of the Month at 10 AM
- Today's Testing: 10 AM
- Other Siren Enthusiasts: ‪@firealarmtechguy44‬
- Siren Info: The siren was probably installed when the original fire station was built in 1963 and used as a fire siren for the Elma-Logan-Monkton Fire Dept
- Purpose: Fire siren used as a backup to the two forms of notification: Pagers and phones.
- Past Purpose: fire siren, the siren was the main means of notification back in the day.
