Dont worry guys, a blown tire or airbag is nothing special. I work in a little truckworkshop at a trucking company and we have that all the time. Old / damaged tires get collected every other week and by that time we almost always have a pile of around 30 worn down/damaged tires. We also have around 5-10 airbags of each kind stored, they are not that frequent but they still blow up sometimes, maybe once a week or so. And all that from around 50 trucks so yeah, not that bad. I also gotta say that we work in construction so tires get way more affected than in other enviorments but still, shit happens.

@@ashtonvalentine7496 Ok let me clarify a bit. The space on the back of the would a little bigger than the space people in the US use for their tool boxes on the back of a pickup truck, the reason we used it is because we haul equipment from very far away from services like roadside assistance. The roads I used to drive where not really well kept since the government where I'm from does not give a dam about it so a lot bumps where deep enough that the load on the trailer would blow them after a bit of use and the company didn't wanna replace it before failure so we decided to leave it on the truck in case we had to do it ourselves. In case you are wondering we would move equipment for oil refineries in Venezuela. Some drives would be all the way from a port city to anywhere like the ass end of nowhere. Some times we would go with a whole crew and sometimes we would go with just a driver and a helper just so we would have a guy looking at a map so we don't get lost.

Sometimes when you speak, you’re heard but then you’ve noticed you should’ve stayed quiet. Tire is easier to replace but air suspension bag being blown will leave you stranded.
Yep ik that sound 91-b mechanic us army That specific sound has cause me a lot of headache during field training when one randomly blows and you gotta figure out how to get the fucking truck back to the motor pool
I’m asking any trucker, if something like this happens on its own while driving and your inspection was good before driving… would you get into trouble ?
If you stand close to one of the airbags and hear it blow, it's going to be so loud. I thought something like a bomb went off the first time I heard one blow 😭😂
Bro next time that happens take the air line off put a piece of plastic (cut water bottle cap) in between air line and air bag so the air stops leaking and keep going. Good luck out there driver.
Hopefully his trucking company is understanding , the company I worked for were bitches . Someone hit me and my partner while driving and we took the fall for it , then when picking up a shipment the shipment wasn't here when it said it would be and that got me fired . Some of the companies aren't what they act like so I hope his is better
At least you’re okay! Be mad at the situation but not the outcome. This could’ve gone a whole lot worse. Coming from someone who just had a flat tire and almost traveled home for 35min. I would’ve had a blow out had I not caught it time. It only cost me to replace that tire plus the other side, it had very little treading left. Instead of being a horrible accident on the way home.
Not sure why this is terrifying. As a trucker I've blown tires, had my brake chamber blow out, had a coolant hose blow. It's all part of trucking. No matter how good a job you do in your pre-trip inspection.
Damn reminds me when one of my breaks on my trailer blew itself up. Was leaving a roundabout suddenly white smoke behind the trailer. Stop. Check. The tire was sliding on the floor because the brakes broke and didn't allow the wheel to spin. So yea. 6 hours before getting back to work
If you zip tie the inlet tube on that airbag you should be able to limp it on to your destination… if it’s not super far away of course ,because that would be dangerous 😅
That's why I always carry $500 dollars for any type of emergency that arises on the road in cash so I can call any tire guy and he can fix it once so I stayed and he only charged me $80.❤❤
Air bags always fail. The rubber companies all tell you to replace all rubber parts every five years. How old were your air bags? That's routine maintenance and has to be figured into your rates.
I’m no trucker at all, but one time I was driving home in heavy traffic with all the windows down and 2 lanes to my right there was a semi that made the most ear shattering explosion sound I’ve ever heard, but I didn’t see any tire blow out. Maybe it was the airbag I don’t know but it was LOUD.

When I grow up, I want to be a truck driver. But now I see how hard the life of a truck driver is😢😭😭
Sometimes when you speak, you’re heard but then you’ve noticed you should’ve stayed quiet.
Tire is easier to replace but air suspension bag being blown will leave you stranded.
Poor Tucker. I hope he got it taken care of easily.
Perfect spot doh. Blowout waited so you could pull right in 😊
Yep ik that sound 91-b mechanic us army
That specific sound has cause me a lot of headache during field training when one randomly blows and you gotta figure out how to get the fucking truck back to the motor pool
Maaammmmm my airbag! Moommm my airbaaaaaagggg its brooookeeennnnnn 😂😂😂
It wasn't a tire, it was something worse 😂
I used to work on repairing trucks for a Company and the airbags were so annoying
That happened to me once, on the front axle drivers side and I was standing by the door. Almost needed a new pair of underwear. 😂
I’m asking any trucker, if something like this happens on its own while driving and your inspection was good before driving… would you get into trouble ?
If you stand close to one of the airbags and hear it blow, it's going to be so loud. I thought something like a bomb went off the first time I heard one blow 😭😂
The moment I heard the compressed air escaping I immediately knew it was a air line or the air suspension. but "IT WAS NOT A TIRE" :)
No way the background music 💀💥👏🏻
It's often quicker to replace an airbag than a tyre!
(for all those saying "I bet you wish it was the tyre")
Bro next time that happens take the air line off put a piece of plastic (cut water bottle cap) in between air line and air bag so the air stops leaking and keep going. Good luck out there driver.
pro tip. when you stop by the shoulder like that. always get out from the passenger side
So yea. 6 hours before getting back to work
Must of been terribly terrifying. 😂
😂
Must have, yes.
Must have indeed.
When life gives you lemons be happy 😂😂
Just last week I finished my bus route and blew an airbag which ended up blowing the tire one exit away from my hotel
I drove around with a blow airbag its ok especially if its a trailer just ignore it and drive on
Yep, cable tie the pipe, finish your shit and let someone else sort it later.
Whats worst than a blowout?
A suspension failure
Thats why you always check your trailer. I never had that in 5 years
czcams.com/video/5WNacOydtJA/video.html Yeah no
Song is time back (instrumental)
Hahahahaha I remember when I prayed to god almighty for the pop I heard to not be a tire and when I checked it I then prayed for it to be a tire 😂😂😂
If you zip tie the inlet tube on that airbag you should be able to limp it on to your destination… if it’s not super far away of course ,because that would be dangerous 😅
That's why I always carry $500 dollars for any type of emergency that arises on the road in cash so I can call any tire guy and he can fix it once so I stayed and he only charged me $80.❤❤
I'm thinking about getting into driving. What can you realistically make as an owner operator in the UK? Thanks for any insight
I could tell it wasnt a tyre by how quiet it was. A tyre exploding is way louder, you couldnt here anything else.
My dad is a trucker in the UK he lives in his lorry and he has never had that incident 😂
Can only imagine how he'd react when he has a steer tire blowout. I had 1 blow at 73mph. Took me a good 30 - 45 mins to separate my ass from seat.
Terrifying blowout is when your steering tyre blows when overtaking another lorry on a motorway in a loaded double decker
Air bags always fail. The rubber companies all tell you to replace all rubber parts every five years. How old were your air bags? That's routine maintenance and has to be figured into your rates.
Boss isnt gonna be happy😂😂
takes about 1 hour. i bill out 2 hours of labor at 80 per hour plus price of oem bag. usually a 300-400 dollar invoice, ez money 🙏
Where did you get that t-shirt?
Op rescript isn't it?
Keep ur head up ik things get expensive but if u work hard enough its nothing to u
Wow so terrifying, hope my tire never blows going slow af sonscary 😂
I’m no trucker at all, but one time I was driving home in heavy traffic with all the windows down and 2 lanes to my right there was a semi that made the most ear shattering explosion sound I’ve ever heard, but I didn’t see any tire blow out. Maybe it was the airbag I don’t know but it was LOUD.
