Prioritizing effective personal finance management holds greater significance than the sheer amount saved, irrespective of income source. Consulting a certified financial advisor can offer tailored strategies to optimize financial results by reducing expenses and enhancing income, regardless of whether it's earned through employment or investments.

Managing Money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times, while orders tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too.

How do i find a good finance advisor? How do you know if they are trustworthy and competent.

On your own you could seek out several of these financial advisors, make sure the one you settle on is a fiduciary and not a fake.
Know what you're getting out of it and see if your targets can be met.

Reminds me of my dad and sister. Both are cpas. My sister passed in January. Needless to say it’s been tough and think about her everyday.
Idk how my dad manages day to day. Raising her and molding her into a cpa and now she’s not there.
My dream was to work with both of them. Currently studying for the enrolled agent exam (SEE) to prepare taxes and work in the office. I want to make both of them proud. My sister was so badass and she was so smart. I could never fill her shoes but hope one day to get close to being able to provide the type of value she did.
I’m going to learn everything about taxes. I have goals and I’m motivated.
    God bless

    Loved your perspective.
I also have a family held business , but from the other side.
All my kids work for me, but not all are capable of running it.
They want to be employees, but don't want to put the effort into running it (my perspective).

I had the same. My dad died and his board threw me out and took all the money. I started from scratch but people think it's the same company sometimes. Also someone started a competition from the office that they stole from me and a lot of people think they're working with me when they work with them.

Interesting subject, and just as delicate… I know my parents put their business together brick by brick in the most inefficient way over so many years that they wouldn’t be open to any new ideas even if they promised to solve some problems. For those who don’t see a smooth transition happening, don’t assume it will, don’t hesitate to build something of your own before too long. At some point, you should have your dad on one of these podcasts and discuss this transition, that would definitely be something interesting to hear about. 👍

Also, do the work to make sure you know what you're talking about before you walk into the family business and start trying to change things around.
I encourage my team to speak uo with Amy ideas they have for imoriving our processes, marketing, etc., and they do, which is great. But what usually happens is they say, "I think A would work better if we did B instead of C." And I reply, You would think so, right? But we tried that before you were here and it actually didn't work very well because of D and E."
To paraphrase Chesterton, there might be a reason that fence is here.

This is so relatable and we did all that but unfortunately, ours is far worse than your dad will ever be. I wish i could share everything but in the end, we all gave up. He obviously loves his company more than his kids not even his wife. He’d rather run the company down to bankruptcy than let anyone not even his kids touch anything at all. He chooses his company over his entire family. He’s a CEO of a small retail company of 60 branches. It’s ironic because he literally trapped all his kids to work for him and now everyone depends on their employment for livelihood but they despise him for it.

I love your videos and they’re informative. However, you say ‘just go for it’ and that people should be decisive. But you went into the same field as your parents. You didn’t take any risk. Maybe you would’ve been better as an astronaut or a doctor. Analysis of important decisions should not be discounted.
