Yes, as you grow older you find you donât have to put up with rubbish. Great vid.
I admire you so much. Im an undergrad majoring in accounting in Illinois and youâve been a huge inspiration.
Been practicing law for over 30 years. A client who yells at me, disrespects my staff or doesnât pay me will soon find themselves someone elseâs client.
This is some very wise perspectives on work-life and building a business that truly fits who you are. So you can do the type of work you enjoy the most for the people you want to help the most.
Careers become very tough when youâre not helping the people you want to help.
Donât know anything about tax but youâre a great teacher. Watched a couple minutes just because it was calming lol.
Thank you!
Your advices applies to other aspects of life too đ You have good intentions
I'm not in the business, but all the points of advice are on point. Especially for those just starting out in their careers. Thank you.
Awesome content!
Your comments are very true to the point; ,however, I have personally been involved with service professionals who also treat me with disrespect. It is not uncommon for me to interview 6 or more individuals before I engage 1. I ask questions to see if they are good fit for me too. If not I leave.
Good advice for a tax firm. Thank you.
Thank you for this video!
More videos like this please! Iâm an aspiring CPA and want to run a firm.
Can you make content on finding employees, fee structures, and running a firm in general?
Also,
Do you cold call to find clients? How do you come across clients other than referrals?
There's more bargaining power when you have established client base and great reputation. Do you think you can be this selective when you first start out?
Yes absolutely you can, but by taking the right actions early on (that attracts ideal clients and by offering and learning the right high value services). With a early focus on high value engagements and low cost but effective marketing would absolutely put someone in the position to do it this way from day one.
Having only run my firm for 4 years, I've learned that clients need to be fired sometimes and this is for the betterment of both the firm and the client. This allows them to find a better suited firm for their personality or needs.
Also when they don't pay your bill, its better to look at it as "It only cost me x hours/$$$ to find out they were not a good long term fit with my firm."
Also, when you say add value to the client, some of your listeners' think minimize taxes.
Accounting is not only taxes. I know your daily routine is just this now, but theres more to it.
I think it is a matter of years most asuredly in our lifetime we will see firms like yours taken out by ai. This is a profession based on algorithms sinple ones at that, so in a few years, you'll just hire an accounting function which as you put it will be commoditized and a fraction of the cost of what it is now. And that applies not only to accounting but financial management altogether
Hey Jasmine, I had a question that might be a good video for some others in the same boat. If I started my single member llc after the firdt quarter, how should I be making future quarterly tax payments?
You would calculate your net income for each following quarter, and base your estimates off of that. (Donât forget Self Employment tax!).
At tax filing time, an accountant can elect to Annualize Your Income. That would tell the IRS when during the year your income was earned.
Or more simply you can ask an accountant now to provide you Safe Harbor estimates based on last yearâs tax return.
As a small business owner, how do I find a reputable accountant?
How do I get a hold of you?! You are quite intelligent and the personality you bring is out of this world! đ
I meant Just an email, I don't think I need to waste 45 mins of your time. đ
Yeah this is really interesting. Very good info too. Clients are important bc outside of work and the workers themselves, theyre the only other source of recommendation/referral of business. Being selective about them refines the process outside of extra labor so to speak. Off topic, this is the 15th comment and you have potentially 1.5 simps in the comments. If it racks up, livestream, get superchats and potentially gain new clientsđ
You have to be firm but fair you have to be professional.
If people canât be reasonable, I think itâs better to move on and they can do their own work or find someone else. Otherwise theyâll step on you like a doormat. Thatâs what I have found.
You seem like a badass
your twin sister works in Irvine, right?
I deleted the specific business name.

I think you need another credentialđ
