    Is there a bleed nipple on both sides of each caliper or only on the outside?

    Hey GTMachine, thanks to all of your instructional videos. I have been on a hunt for a GT4, but seeing that they are out of warranty (save CPO), it's nice to know that a lot of the work can be a DIY. Do you have any specific advice for what to look out for when buying this car - particularly from a non-Porsche dealership or private seller? I am familiar with things like PPI, DME reports, common faults including leaking axle boots/struts, transmission recall on certain years, but when you're going to check out the car - any check list you would use?

      Thanks for the comments its really appreciated that that its actually helpful for others. Its my hope to make these cars more affordable for others to do your own maintenance.
      As far as check lists its hard. How anal are you about your cars helps. I am crazy anal about my big purchases to keep them nice.
      i would make sure to check for any leaks or anything out of the ordinary. I believe the only true answer is for you to actually inspect the car yourself and give it your seal of approval. In the end if anything is wrong you can blame yourself and not have to worry about blaming others. I had a Ferrari and Porsche dealer miss a mouse nest in the car. Maybe its not a west coast thing that much as over here on the east coast. But as soon as it got the car hot I knew there was something not right since I have smelled that smell before. i hunted and found the mouse nest. Porsche did a PPI inspection and it was all great except for that.
      You are welcome to send me an email if you want to talk further.

    I noticed your tire fitment is unusual for a GT4. Do you have the tire sizes by chance? Are these N0 or N1 tires? The sidewall sits in flush with the lip of the wheel like a 997 RS. I have not seen that on a GT4 and very curious about it.

      They are factory tires. I’ll have to look to see if they are N rated. They are the Michelin Sport Cup 2’s.

      @@gtmachine6134 Thank you. I have Cup 2s on my GT4 as well - N1s. But the fitment around the wheel is different. I looked at random photos after seeing your vids and it's a mix of how the tires are fitted. I wonder if it's an installation thing. Super curious now.

      @@0hshift127 I just checked them and I have N0 tires 295/30zr20 on the rear and 245/35/zr20 on the front.
      They are factory tires.

    Aren’t you supposed to start from the furthest point from master cylinder rear passenger side?

    • @gtmachine6134
      @gtmachine6134  Před rokem

      That's only for when you are bleeding brakes when you have air in them or for a repair if you open that circuit up to air. For flushing it doesn't really matter, you just want to pull enough fluid through that line and clean fluid starts coming out.
