- Nottingham Forest have launched legal action against Gary Neville following disparaging comments made by the Sky Sports pundit while live on air. In his remarks, Gary Neville claimed that Nottingham Forest and their owner Evangelos Marinakis were behaving like a mafia gang over their tweet regarding Luton town fan Stuart Attwell, and that Mark Clattenburg had no choice but to resign from his referee consultancy role at the club, which he duly did. Makes you wonder whether the linesman and referee team were paid to reach that decision, especially as they are instructed not to stick their flags in the air or stop a play now unless it is without doubt the correct answer! That particular play should have been allowed to finish before the whistle was blown, especially as the Bayern player was nowhere near being offside anyway, not in a month of Sundays as the saying goes, so why on Earth the Assistant Referee put his flag up, only they will know, or possibly the Real Madrid owners too??? I guess we won't find out for certain for a couple of decades if the Anderlecht vs Nottingham Forest coverup is anything to go by!
Gary Neville accusing someone to be Mafia, when he works for Sky itself is a joke. These pundits are generally uneducated loud mouths who bare little class, I always mute when they speak. I hope the defamation case is successful and Neville issues an apology and Sky give compensation for trying to destroy the image of one of the oldest clubs in the world.
I'm so proud of Forest for standing up for what's right, we just need other clubs with a backbone to join us in speaking out.

Forest have every right to be furious over what he said, at the end of the day, all season we have been fighting injustice on the pitch from the Referee and from the VAR Officials alike. We have received more than our fair share of apology letters from the PGMOL over the last 2 years and refereeing decisions have never been so poor, however Forest can confirm they have systematically been denied by Referees from the Premier League for the last 2 seasons and near the end of our promotion season too when they appointed a Prem Ref to take charge against Bournemouth and we lost 1-0 due to the most appalling refereeing decisions ever seen in the Championship where Stonewall Penalties weren't given and cards issued for diving etc when that player had clearly been fouled too (please forgive me if the last incident didn't happen in that match, but we were subjected to quite a few terrible decisions once the Prem League realised Forest were in with a chance of promotion and it went downhill from that point onwards! Even David Prutton on Sky Sports was decrying the situation and couldn't understand why Forest didn't get the same decisions like other Southern based teams were awarded, even though some were worse offences and far clearer too)! It's as if they don't want Forest in the Premier League at all!

Beautifully worded Uti. Football fans of all clubs should band together to protect the game and it's dignity even as corruption seems rife now unlike how it had been in the early days of the Premier League when it was just finding its feet. Now sadly it doesn't seem to matter what the facts are as long as the optics are working right. Well in favour of the Big 6 or 7! The rest seem to be told they are being tolerated but not to expect the decisions to go in their favour necessarily, and then you have the Clubs Non Grata like Forest, Wolves and Everton who seem to fail in general to get anything given in their favour unless they are playing a 'Maggot Team', one that apparently doesn't even deserve to be sharing the same postcode as the others, let alone a pitch, that is a group of 2, Wolves and Forest! That was borne out when you look what happened to Forest at Goodison the other week, 3 Stonewall Penalties for any of the Big 6 and 100% fouls given anywhere else on the pitch but as it was Forest, forget it, especially as Luton want to stay up and Atwell wants them to also, therefore anything he can do to help them, he will do! Now that point is 'So Very Clear & Obvious'! Go Uti!

Sky, and all their hangers on, think that they can do or say anything they want, as in their eyes they own the premier league. They pay megabucks to sponser it, and then charge you and me an outrageous ÂŁ100 per month or thereabouts for the priviledge of watching it. Subsequently the stick two fingers up to all and sundry. Neville accusing Forest of acting like a Mafia gang is the ultimate irony, (pot, kettle), and Sky need to rein him in.

Bro, VAR has never been about giving us the correct decision during games. They started out with the disclaimer, "clear and obvious error." In simple terms, VAR will not overrule a referee if it makes the ref look like a bigger twat than he already is.

Just ask Brennan Johnson how many Yellow Cards he was awarded for diving in the box when each and every time, he had just been too quick for his opponent and then taken down! I am wondering if this is Historical though as they are Jealous we are still the only British Team ever to retain the Champions League or European Cup as it was called when we won it Back to Back! Just look what happened in the 1991 FA Cup Final vs Spurs, when Gazza kicked Gary Charles in the stomach to stop his attack down the wing as it was the only way they found to stop him on the day, by fouling him. But Gazza should have been awarded a clear Red Card for violent conduct and endangering an opponent, yet didn't even see a second yellow and then he ended up injured himself because the tackle was that reckless! He was substituted instead of seeing Red yet had that been a Forest player, then they would have seen Red as it was against the darlings of the Capital, a Spurs side that wins every time the year ends with a 1. To prove this fact, they won the FA Cup in 1921, 1961, 1981 & 1991, they also won the League Cup in 1971 & the League itself in 1951 & 1961 too! Hence the reason Forest weren't really that surprised when shocking decisions didn't go their way in 1991 but the pinnacle of dreadful decisions was that serious assault by Gazza on Gary Charles! Stuart Pearce knew at that moment, winning the FA Cup obviously wasn't on the cards as it had been predetermined who the winners would be by the FA themselves back then. Forest had grown too big as far as they were concerned with almost annual trips to Wembley for one Cup Final or another. Please check out the validity of what I am telling you Uti as it all stands up to scrutiny of the minutest order!

Uti, I agree with you. Ok Iâm a Forest fan. But Neville thinks he can say what he likes. He canât. All he is qualified to do his comment on the football. Not behind the scenes stuff. I am no fan of Neville, but he was correct clattenburg had to go, forest was basically accusing his colleagues of corruption, his position became untenable, brought about by his employer.
Nobody was accused of corruption by Forest.
All Forest did was point out (before the game) that there was the possibility of a conflict of interest in appointing Stuart Atwell to be the VAR as he is a declared Luton Town fan, and that he should be replaced.
As for Neville, he can go and do one, and his mate Carragher.
