thats' mostly what i use. i don't think you can skip videos using the MMI though. but perfect quality. you'll find a link in the video description best price ive seen.
Just purchased this for my 2010 Audi A4. It's in prestine condition all I need is bluetooth music capability!
Great product but yea I don't believe that year has the right interface. You can purchase the newer one for the b8+ 2012 year but that might be expensive and if you choose to do that you can probably just get the interface w Bluetooth audio included...best of luck.

You have to check and see what version of the mmi you have. You'll see that either in the system or can check what year your vehicle is. I believe tune2air must be mmi3. Let me know how it goes.

First off I really appreciate all your kind comments. Thank you. It inspires me to start videos again for the new car I purchased in July. You should be able to find the mmi version by checking Google and searching your Vin number for mmi installs on that series. I believe there is also a option in the MMI itself that will provide you with the version it is. Let me know if you get anywhere with this. Thanks again!
The AUX port should be in your center console storage on the back side of the wall.

i have audi a5 2012 …tune2air shows connected and my phone is also connected….on the car display my phone name is showing not tune2air and when i press ok it stucks on loading mode always , can’t play music..anyone can help plz

None at all and I turn it up loud. Some heavy bass drops some loud guitar solos all the above. No issues. Great quality. Truly is a great product.

Just got a 2012 a4. Does it work with Spotify. Also tossing up whether I buy this or go all in on an Apple car play installation integrated within the Audi system
It works with all streaming services I ever tried. It's just a receiver for Bluetooth so if your phone can use the app and is sending sound it should be played through the MMI and system. Before doing the full integration start w this, see if there is anything your needing or want that it doesn't have and then decide. Just to save you some money and get you listening to music right away.
Sorry. I have that stuff connected with car, but it only shows external audio source active. When I play the music the voice still comes from the phone not from the car. Do u know the reason?
Go to your Bluetooth screen. Make sure the phone is connected. Then click on your phone under Bluetooth menu make sure audio is on and calls is off. Then it should play through your vehicle sound system. Let me know if this works.
I can’t us spotify or youtube, the problem is that I can’t pause songs. Maybe the song will stop for 1 or 2 secs and then it keep going, i’ve seen other people having the exact same issue, any advice?

Ive had that happin. I didn't try to troubleshoot it yet. I know that happins when you pause the song on the phone and the tune2air is always confirming connection so it starts again. did you try pausing on the mmi and the phone? just random thought. like i said i haven't tried to trouble shoot yet. if that doesn't work let me know and i'll look into it. P.S. if that doesn't work a temp fix is switching the source to say sd and then switching back to play. that should do the trick. but let me know
The King Of Lions Yeah I tried in both, the MMI doesn’t recognize the action as a “pause” and it plays the song from the beggining. What do you mean with troubleshoot? I think there is no solution :(
@@JuanPabloHuanqui did you try the pause on the phone and switch the source? That will work if you really need to pause the music. I dont find myself needing to pause as a necessity. If anything I just mute until I'm good.
Yeah, the song keeps going in a 2nd plane. I’m also in no need of pause, but I meant for the reproduction of youtube videos and whatsapp voice messages :(
@@JuanPabloHuanqui hmm that is unfortunate. But I guess the tune2air workaround isn't completely seamless. Still worth the 70$ if I see or hear any advice on this I'll post for sure. Thanks!
Mine is stuck saying loading on the car screen
How do I get this to work with my incoming calls ? Do I have to still be connected to mmi on blue tooth for my phone or does it need to be disconnected?
If you keep it connected it will switch audio from spotify or CZcams to phone If your phone has it priority set that way.
Does this stay connected even when the vehicle is turned off ? Just curious if it drains the car battery .
No it does not. Once the battery cuts power to the car. It turns off. That is in the engineering of audi since it is using the 30 pin connector that audi built into the glove box.
How is sound quality? I had one on my previous car a 2008 GL550 & the sound just didn’t have much bass. It would also play the first song on the library as soon as it connects.
Sounds quality is excellent just as any modern bluetooth player is. the bass is completely up to your sub with this device. For playback whatever source your using it will just pick up where you left off.
The a4 2006 have that port ? To connect a Bluetooth adapter??
its not standard equipment, you have to open your glovebox and see if the person who configured the brand new car ordered ami

You can use both your phone and the mmi for controls.

If it has bluetooth it should. It will probably also have more data because the mmi is built for the iPhone interface. You also have the 30pin plug in the glovebox not sure if a 30pin to lightening connector exists if it does maybe do that.

Hi, my audi a4 b8 2009 Message „there are no playable tracks on the device” when i connect with Spotify :/ iPhone 11 pro
If you go to the Amazon page, down in the instructions it has some tips for problem solving this. Such as making sure you have at least 1 song downloaded on spotify play that and it should connect and some other tips. Let me know if this helps.
I just installed mine, it works and everything but when i turn off the car the thing still on and connected to my bluetooth, so does it drain your battery?
I had mine for 3+ years and never had any issues and I never did anything specific to counter balance the use.

Great question. I had no issues w the battery and that was in addition to it being an older battery and using it to help jump other vehicles.
does the tune2air device turn off after you turn off the car?
No. But the power consumption is incredibly minimal. No issues with power draw, would be the same if you leave your car sit and dont start it to charge the battery. I have had no issues as far as power drain in the 2 months I've had it.

I'm sure their are work around for the iPod connector w a Bluetooth device as well. Although i have not researched that yet. Can always get a ipod and plug it in.
Is there a way to reset the Bluetooth it won't let me connect for music only phone calls 😐
On your phone it'll let you choose calls and or music. Then disconnect it from your saved devices, after you do that turn off the Bluetooth on the phone and turn off the car. Then turn the car on then the Bluetooth on the phone, it should ask for a reconnect and use the 1234 or 0000 pin. It should start up w the new settings for phone and music. This also depends on what year audi you have. Let me know if this works.

Plug it in and thats it. I mean you have to provide the Bluetooth code and some security stuff but nothing regarding software updates.

Better then radio. Literally if your digital music is good it's good if its great its great. I love it no issues almost 2 years after. Would tell everyone to buy one.

2011 might not have the right system for the Bluetooth. 2012 might be the first year it works. Double check that

The mmi may be different I would double check to make sure you have the 30 pin connector and also check the version of the mmi the 2010 a4 is running. I do believe it is an earlier version then the b8 s4[2012]

no issues at all. seamless transition from the device to headphones and all the above. big fan still.
I have my phone connected to it and it will not allow music or videos to play when it is connected it just pauses the video and I can’t un pause it.
What is your phone doing? Is it still playing the media or does it freeze as well?
@@TheKingOfLions i figured it out. I just have to disconnect and Reconnect to blue tooth and keep pausing and un pausing the music and eventually it plays. But on my cousins phone (android) it plays with no problem

were you ever prompted from the mmi with a code to verify connection?
also is your iphone connected to another bluetooth device at the same time that can also cause issues
@@TheKingOfLions yes it did ask me for the code 0000 and i had also disconnected the phone being bluetooth to the car for dialing etc. I have also tried it with other peoples iphones and it just says the same thing "loading"

@@arthurschwarz2129 i have used spotify with it, without any issues. loading wouldn't be where spotify messes up. it would be after its playing and connected it would pause. anyway ok. i remember something similar happening to mine when i first started using it i just gotta think about what the problem was. i remember it being something silly like a phone update. i'll get back to you.
@@arthurschwarz2129 ok i think what i did was after it was connected and i was getting loading on the car i just restarted the phone. then once it rebooted im not sure if it updated or not but it just worked from then on. give that a shot i know its stupid but im pretty sure that was the fix. let me know if that does it.

Your whole MMI doesn't work. OR it doesn't work w the tune2air? The 2011 mmi may need to be updated to a newer version for the interface to be used w tune2air. Are you still able to use your phone to change songs volume etc?

I bought an 8p rs3 i was shocked that it had no cd player or bluetooth connection....thats so out of touch, dont know what audi were thinking? So i bought the tune to air....it took me 5 mins to get it going, its very good...but your right re no info on display if u dont have i phone.....but it works.
Those RS3's are bare knuckle so that doesnt surprise me, but glad the tune2air is able to bring you somewhat back to current times. How's the rs3 treating you this past month, have you gotten it out much?

youtube works because i use it all the time, i have to assume spotify will work because other music playing apps work no issues as well. its just transfering all data through bluetooth directly to the ECU. very clean

Hah!, I would kill to have an sd card reader in my A4. I'm still using my freaking CD player to get proper high quality audio, since my Bluetooth adapter is complete trash.
It really does cover alot of things. Has an on board 32gb hard drive. All the sd cards sadly only read up to 32 gb but won't complain. Hey I remember having to use the tape deck back in the day. We need music one way or another!

I was told that the new update on the iPhone iOS was not going to work with it the bovee. I had to go a different direction.

If you have a 30 prong ipod adapter it should. You probably wont have any integration w the mmi and have to use your phone exclusively. If not what inputs do you have for the system? Aux, tape deck SD card?

@@sergiov9548 the 30 prong is what the tune2air connects to. Look inside your glove box or arm rest for the 30 prong port. If that's not there it wont work. Check your head unit for a headphone connection(aux) or cassette tape(would connect through aux on your phone..
@@sergiov9548 also back in the day you could get an FM tuner that would broadcast your music to a specific radio channel 93.3 for then your radio can just play that channel which is broadcasting music from your phone on that. Random ideas.

Does this have to be downloaded music or can you play live from Spotify? Also, can you still make and receive calls using the car's telephone function? 🙂
It does not need to be downloaded music. I was even streaming youtube. I know you can take phone calls and make phone calls on your phone and use the speakers in the car for the output. You would still need to be close enough to the input(mic on the phone) to use it this way. I had it on a windshield holder with no problem. I don't think your phone or car can connect to 2 different bluetooth units at the same time. You can switch between them. You would need to connect your phone to the cars' bluetooth for the phone-call, then switch back to tune2air for music(audio). I found it quite easy to use my phone to make calls since I was also using it to look for music.

Man I just bought a 2012 A4 and was shocked and pissed to see that it doesn't even have proper Bluetooth. Like wtf Audi. Is this dongle still the best option out there that you've seen?
Truth. Only the Bluetooth phone option for audi is crazy. But after getting the tune 2 air id say its the best. Seamless, never see it and its always working. Definitely super happy w the 80$ I spent. Havent thought twice about it. Use the link in the description and pick one up boss.
My tune2air just broke after a year
damn. ive had mine for about 8 months so i haven't made it into the 1 year mark yet. i appreciate the heads up if this happins to mine or i start to hear more problems similar i'll make sure to make a video with a heads up and start looking into other options.
Mine is now going on 2 1/2 years no issues. Must have just been a shit one. Did you try to get it replace under warranty.
What's crazy to me is, I had a Volkswagen Passat 2012 that had a touch screen and connecting to Bluetooth was never an issue. Audi is better so why is Volkswagen ahead with their technology?
