I'm sure their are work around for the iPod connector w a Bluetooth device as well. Although i have not researched that yet. Can always get a ipod and plug it in.

What is your phone doing? Is it still playing the media or does it freeze as well?

@@TheKingOfLions i figured it out. I just have to disconnect and Reconnect to blue tooth and keep pausing and un pausing the music and eventually it plays. But on my cousins phone (android) it plays with no problem

I had mine for 3+ years and never had any issues and I never did anything specific to counter balance the use.

If you keep it connected it will switch audio from spotify or CZcams to phone If your phone has it priority set that way.

Great question. I had no issues w the battery and that was in addition to it being an older battery and using it to help jump other vehicles.

It wasn't quite winter when I did it, closer to fall temps of about 30-40 degrees. I'm not sure how temp effects the coating process, i'd have to imagine if its colder it would bind and seal quicker. Let me know how it goes, if you do it in your garage, leave the door open or make sure you have good air flow. Good luck, let me know how they turn out.

It works with all streaming services I ever tried. It's just a receiver for Bluetooth so if your phone can use the app and is sending sound it should be played through the MMI and system. Before doing the full integration start w this, see if there is anything your needing or want that it doesn't have and then decide. Just to save you some money and get you listening to music right away.

The mmi may be different I would double check to make sure you have the 30 pin connector and also check the version of the mmi the 2010 a4 is running. I do believe it is an earlier version then the b8 s4[2012]

You have to check and see what version of the mmi you have. You'll see that either in the system or can check what year your vehicle is. I believe tune2air must be mmi3. Let me know how it goes.

First off I really appreciate all your kind comments. Thank you. It inspires me to start videos again for the new car I purchased in July. You should be able to find the mmi version by checking Google and searching your Vin number for mmi installs on that series. I believe there is also a option in the MMI itself that will provide you with the version it is. Let me know if you get anywhere with this. Thanks again!

You can use both your phone and the mmi for controls.

Great product but yea I don't believe that year has the right interface. You can purchase the newer one for the b8+ 2012 year but that might be expensive and if you choose to do that you can probably just get the interface w Bluetooth audio included...best of luck.

It does not need to be downloaded music. I was even streaming youtube. I know you can take phone calls and make phone calls on your phone and use the speakers in the car for the output. You would still need to be close enough to the input(mic on the phone) to use it this way. I had it on a windshield holder with no problem. I don't think your phone or car can connect to 2 different bluetooth units at the same time. You can switch between them. You would need to connect your phone to the cars' bluetooth for the phone-call, then switch back to tune2air for music(audio). I found it quite easy to use my phone to make calls since I was also using it to look for music.

Yeaaaa they def made the car take its stance w those Oz. I just crashed the audi forums and found someone selling them for 1k. I have a video where I replace the boots and it's 100% ready to go. Saved 4kish on rebuild and another 1k on self install. Definitely worth the little extra on my end! Do it!

If you go to the Amazon page, down in the instructions it has some tips for problem solving this. Such as making sure you have at least 1 song downloaded on spotify play that and it should connect and some other tips. Let me know if this helps.

Just as a heads up get 2, plus a can of glossifier. the extra 12 bucks will make sure you have enough plastidip and the gloss takes it to that next level! Let me know how it goes.

Yea I have definitely adapted some of the places I went when I first got it. Continued to see damage then I had to tow my car for my coolant pump, and the tow truck driver drove it into the side of his flatbed. Its all sorts of cracked on the bottom, but top still looks great. They paid to get it fixed but just put the cash into something else for the car. It def looks much better with it. Congrats on the install.

Thank you for the info on the ring. I reinstalled it before putting my passenger rear wheel on. You will see in the comments I meant to say 4k lb car not 4 ton car. I appreciate your knowledge on the hub centric ring and hopefully others will find it useful as well.

Go to your Bluetooth screen. Make sure the phone is connected. Then click on your phone under Bluetooth menu make sure audio is on and calls is off. Then it should play through your vehicle sound system. Let me know if this works.

Haha yea it was a couple days in of owning the s4 when I did it. But hey what ya gonna do. Now I'm 25k miles later nothing needed to be done to the engine its gravy. Alittle feedback on the guides when I start up but after it warms up its 100% golden.

@@TheKingOfLions that’s great! I had to get a new cylinder head because the oil splash shield metal under the oil filler cap fell in and dented the head, and I had a similar ticking noise and it one of the rocker arms so I just went and got all 16 new, mines a 2.0L

@@EJR20 the 2.0 is a strong engine but the 3.0 is more reliable from what I've seen. But still glad you were able to catch the issue before you were stuck w a paperweight. Im not gonna lie, I might be looking at replacing it w a c63 amg from the 2012 Era. But I still love the car so no rush at the moment.

No it does not. Once the battery cuts power to the car. It turns off. That is in the engineering of audi since it is using the 30 pin connector that audi built into the glove box.

Sounds quality is excellent just as any modern bluetooth player is. the bass is completely up to your sub with this device. For playback whatever source your using it will just pick up where you left off.
