I used to love going to shoe stores. I stopped going maybe 10 years ago because they never have shoes for wide feet. I have to buy my shoes online.
I’m here dying of laughter at Shaina and that shoe. It reminds me of a time my head and arms got stuck in a dress and after struggling for 5 minutes and literally dripping with sweat, I finally had to scream for the salesperson to help me out of it. 😊

Hang in sunshine
I hand wash over night in a bucket 🪣 with detergent. If the smell does not come out I let it go. Happened with mothball smell 😮 i was so heartbroken I couldn’t get it out if these cool pants.
You can try hanging outside in the sun or steaming when you get them. Then adding white vinegar when you wash them.
Dryel Home dry cleaner kit is one of our go tos.

Hit up Lennox Mall here in the ATL...got ideas and THEN went thrifting in the nearer neighborhoods. Ladies! did a 1 day thrifting extravaganza. Bought; pair of Jeffery Campbell combat boots, a zara dress, pair of madden boots in cognac suede *with tags on*, a Free People blouse and a vintage skirt!!! All for under $75...
I understand buying footwear new because with larger feet the thrifted shoes are hard to find

the panty hose socks help you get shoes on that your feet won't slip into .. they keep you skin from sticking to the leather without bulking up your feet.

Trick for getting shoes on… bring a bread sack(s) put on foot slides right in of course pull plastic sack out. A shoe salesman taught me this in the seventies when all boots were tall and had no zipper
