I went round their regimental museum in Salisbury two weeks ago and was humming this to myself as I was was walking round. So glad the ‘Farmer’s Boys’ still have one. Tragically, The Buffs section in Canterbury museum was destroyed in a woke makeover 10 years ago.
I learnt this (and lots of other good old songs) in primary school in London in the late '40's/ early '50's.. Great old song, sung here in the right setting, and telling a really uplifting story!
