This is literally just a fruit wine. Nothing wrong with it, just not called kvass. You could probably add fruit to a true kvass and call it fruit kvass, but this is just a wine fermented by the natural bacteria and yeast on the strawberries with a tad of sugar added to bring up the specific gravity and therefore the alcohol content.

1/2 cup to 1 cup of sugar per qt I’ve done. Really depends on how sweet or dry you want it. The longer it sets the dryer and higher alcohol content .if you go to long it turns to vinegar and you no longer have alcohol and it’s gross lol
I wouldn’t leave fruit in it for longer than 7 days, it’ll be drier tho and less carbonation. Really 3 days is good amount. If you really want it strong add wine yeast.

never use plastic to make any fermented drink or food
Let it sit for 4 weeks, and let the gas out every night so it doesnt explode. If you have yeast add some. After 4 weeks freaze overnight, once frozen pour out the liquid that remains. Repeat this one or two more times with the remaining liquid. That liquid is a fairly strong alcohol and this method is called freaze distolation. I highly reccomend doing that over this wanna be kvas.
