Kombucha is a fermented beverage of black tea and sugar. After fermentation, kombucha becomes carbonated and contains vinegar, B vitamins, enzymes, probiotics and a high concentration of acid.
In this episode of Ancient Medicine Today, I’ll be answering the question, “Is kombucha actually healthy?” I’ll cover in full detail exactly what kombucha is, share the nutrition facts, discuss the health benefits and decipher who should and should not be drinking this fermented drink.

So then I started to brew my own kombucha and drank regularly. Then after 2 weeks I barely felt any pain and my foot stop being numb. The only thing I did differently in my diet was drinking kombucha. So I just post it here in case anybody have the same problem and just want to give it a try. P.S. I also am sleeping in a faraday cage around my bed. WHAT A MIRACLE that was for me!!! Smart meters and cell tower radiation is KILLING us too. Chiropractored for over 20 years with lower back pain, neck pain and most recently a dehabilitating knee issue that I couldn't walk without crutches. Moved to my home away from cell towers. My health conditions ALL CLEARED UP. There was NO SMART METER on my home. Recently I was FORCED to have one put on my home or they would disconnect. The very next day....EXTREME migraine, knee pain (felt like hot cattle prod hitting my knee) lower back pain returned. I then put a smart meter cover around my electric meter. That didn't do the trick. Then I saw on-line...faraday cages around bed on you tube. Had one made for about $250.00. 8x8x6 feet tall. THE NEXT MORNING I felt like I was 25 again!!! I am 64.

@@yoana3351 go buy kombucha from the store, origional, non flavored ( I had to use a ginger one but it still works!)
Boil 4 cups of water on the stove and add 4-6 black tea bags ( I used 4 black tea and 2 green tea).
Let it steep for 10 min.
Dissolve 1 cup or organic cane sugar.
Let the mixture cool no lower than 65 degrees to avoid mold in scoby.
Then add in 1/2 of the kombucha you bought into the mixture.
Cover the top of your jar with an old T-shirt (I cut fabric from the bottom of one) so that the mixture can breathe and flies dont invade it.
Put it in a dark room or pantry and leave it undisturbed for 14 days.... yes 14 days.
If you mess with it to much you will disturb the scoby life cycle.
At the end of 14 days you will have a beautiful scoby.
Taste the mixture to make sure it's not too sweet, you want it sour but not too sour either.
Then repeat the tea brewing steps above minus the store bought kombucha.
Transfer 2 cups of your first brew + your scoby into the cooled tea and sugar mixture, cover again and let it sit for 7 more days and you'll have even more kombuch.
It ferments more and more with every brew cycle and will be much more carbonated than the first!

  • @BabyAngelV

Mmm.. I don't know. I think a lot of it depends on how it's made. For example, if it's bottled too early (not left to ferment long enough), it'll have a higher sugar content.. or if you use black tea instead of green you'll get more caffeine. Each batch varies widely depending on the ingredients you use and how long it's left to ferment. I think that's why a lot of people get confused about it's benefits.
I personally believe that everyone can drink Kombucha if brewed the right way for that person. For example, you're not gonna give an alcoholic Kombucha that has been left to ferment too long. It can be a gateway back into alcoholism.
Just my two cents. I make my own at home. It's delicious. :)
    Luv ya brother!
    Keep the videos coming.

Aixa V my first experience with kombucha was in my early twenties and that was 30 something years ago and a woman had made it with the spores from her great-grandmother's recipe it had never touched metal only glass which was one of the things about kombucha was no metal. no other sweeteners then regular sugar and black tea and only black tea. She was almost a hundred I used to clean house for her because she had a mansion and couldn't keep up with it and Great Danes. her kombucha was amazing but she took extra time and making sure it didn't touch metal and all that. And she also let it sit for a very long time before she touched it or moved it. I absolutely agree on the sugar content hers had no sweetness that was a sugar sweetness it had a pleasant taste but not sweet and that was due to the time, but if you talk to people who made kombucha in the early days it's just an absolute send to use anything other than black tea! That's is what kombucha is.

I'd have to disagree with this video. I started recently drinking kombucha and I have ibs. Recently my ibs was triggered by stress and anxiety which is why I bought some to try and it helped my symptoms go away completely. I've tried many different medications for ibs symptoms and none of them worked. The only thing that came close was taking probiotics and taking cbd. But, they didn't stop my stomach cramps and intense pain completely. Only the kombucha did, it also helped me to feel amazing like energized yet also calm, focused, and happier. I'd definitely recommend it to someone with ibs to at least try a small amount and see if it helps. I know some people with ibs do have worsened symptoms but sometimes like in my case it helped. Also, the low fodmap diet is a live saver and helped reduce my ibs symptoms almost completely. Just a quick tip to anyone who may be reading this wanting to try kombucha, don't drink the whole bottle if it's 16 oz. If you stick to the serving size which is normally 8 oz then you should be okay and not have negative symptoms. If you drink more than 8 oz in a day some people report getting sick. I know a lot of people usually go by the mentality that if it's so good I must drink more, but that's not the best bet at least with kombucha. To much of a good thing can be toxic. Also, when I was disagnosed with ibs years ago my doctor recommended that I try probiotics, probiotic yogurt, and even kombucha (which I hated the first time I sipped it and only recently gave it a try again) so I don't understand why he thinks that could be a problem.

I was 49 years old when I moved to an area that had a grocery store that served non alcoholic Komucha. I had not had a yeast infection since my early 20’s. After consuming it for a couple of weeks- just a little everyday, I developed a systemic yeast infection (my gut hurt, had vaginal yeast and felt like I had knives in my throat). I became very ill. I felt horrible, couldn’t eat anything, was dizzy, had memory issues( couldn’t remember my best friend’s last name), calcifications that were/ are visible etc... I am much better now- gut feels better, however my thyroid was affected. Working on that now! Take many supplements everyday, no gluten or grains, no sugar and I’m on my way back to health!
