A suggestion... what has always worked for me is apply backglass film then squeegee and hardcard with Towel like normal... now careful peel at top corner of film and start peeling film downward and stop as close to the bottom edge of dot matrix and repeat other side ... also it’s best to not just peel one side all the way to edge of matrix instead work both sides maby a inch or two at a time till your just above the beginning of dot matrix..
Then if it’s sunny at your shop let it sit outside and get hot till dry or use a heat gun and carefully warm the section just lower of the matrix to evaporate the moisture that’s between glass and film and once that’s looking dry go ahead and heat matrix up nice and hot, all heating done on outside of glass ..
Now the difficult part STAY PATIENT Get a card u prefer and carefully reapply the film doing a inch or two upward and sideways at a time starting from middle outward but be extremely careful u only get one shot and it’s easy to mess up and leave air pockets behind or leave squeegee striping.. If u do a good section stop and look outside of glass and check your progress or have someone guide u...
Very difficult trick but if your patient it works incredibly well even with vehicles with the worst matrix such as old Chevy cavilers
      Or older ford mustangs....
basically your dry applying the film

@@joeflur yes, it works flawlessly when we drop the top area and leave dry in sun...it does however take alot of skill to press back into place without getting trapped air...trapped air looks horrible...i have used that method for years also, but its a more advanced technique and should be exercised with pro supervision...thanks for your input boss!!!

Your vid makes perfect sense and thanks for sharing,i had not tried the "right tension" to the film before but it didnt work out for me eventually at all.I guess theres another factor,my guess would be how aggresive the glue of the film is(cant think of smthing else) ///Gonna keep trying though

Would you suggest the steel wool for removing or lowering the height of the dots? Is it for cleaning or for lowering the dots? I have this on my front window and I'm stressing about the silvering.
