I got just weaned green cheek babies and to my mistake the never have felt caged and are out 12 hours a day and it’s insane. My new young green parakeet aka green conure will definitely have structure and be ok in her aviary; actually they are all getting new spaces, chop, bird bread, fresh food and lots of sun.

Thank you, I had no idea that it could cause hormonal changes. I have a green cheek and a ciaque, the ciaque hated hers, it scared her.
Thanks so much for the podcast, I learned so much! I have only had my birds for a couple years so I am a new mom trying to get all the info I can. Thanks again!!!!!

I purchased a black out cage cover and that has helped greatly. My concur wants to be up all hours of the night until I purchased it.

For some parrots it can stimulate hormones but for others it can work well to give them the darkness they need for a restful nights sleep. Thanks for sharing! 🌝💫

hey there! I plan on getting a budgie or two someday (don't worry I've done a ton of research) and I was wondering if a male budgie and a conure would get along together, not sure the gender of a conure but if you have any advice on it, I'd appreciate it a lot!

Hey! To be honest it really depends they might get along but they might not… it’s hard to say but from the guests I’ve talked to and the research I’ve also done it’s best to choose a flock mate in the same species or at the very least in the same size and a budgie is quite a bit smaller from a Conure so in the event that they didn’t get along there is always a chance that the budgie could get hurt. I would definitely not cage them together! It is possible that they will like each other but as I mentioned it’s hard to say but important to take the right steps to introduce them etc. I personally would opt to pair them with the same species. Hope this helps!

I have a 2-month-old pineapple conure, he/she is still on hand feed, and has all the happy signs but it screams every 1-2 seconds constantly till the time I don't put him back into the brooder. Even if the crop is full or half, the scream won't stop. Is it because he wants to have another bird with its surroundings? how to stop the constant scream. As long as its inside the box its all fine, the moment it feels im in the room the scream starts. I mean very playful n all but everything comes with this scream lol..is it okay to raise a single conure? how can i bring the scream down.. or maybe it will get matured once its a bit bigger, We named him/ her coco. .not sure about the gender yet..
