- Stockholm: Exploring Stockholm Art Galleries, Part 1...
This video is a continuation of my recent trip to Stockholm where I got to explore a lot of the Nordic art scene and I'm so excited to share it here, with you all. This video focuses on art galleries in Stockholm that I felt were particularly compelling, and I there will be a part II! - so make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss that. Also if you didn't see the first video from this trip where I visit the Market Art Fair and more you can watch that below.
Stockholm, Market Art Fair: • Stockholm: Arriving in...
As always more details about everything can be found below. Also I apologize in advance for my horrible Swedish pronunciations.

Many thanks Mary especially your calm voice and eyes of perspectives of world's arts
As always your videos transport us to spaces most viewers can not visit ❤😊
AWESOME ! Thanks for showing.
That's great, work 👏👏👏👏👏
Jona Lipps actually stood out to me 😊
The other side of the “images removed from context” question is how as human pattern-makers we use the context we have/are in the moment that we view the work.
I like the meaning you brought forward-the “dark side” of pattern making
Lipps is no worse than a lot of them, in my opinion, but it's good to hear you be critical for a change.
Thanx for the introduction to the Stockholm art scene, Loyal, Nordenhake, and Carl Kostyal in Part II?
Also in mariefred near Stockholm small village with castle which has gallery of Swedish portraits over the years
really enjoyed a lot...(and yeah you're right about Jona Lipps) thank you...
Daniel Jensen's paintings are just a bit over-familiar stylistically, but have a nice balance of strength and delicacy in how they were realized in color and texture. The self-taught artist, Bethany Czarnecki, was also fine; her themes regarding the feminine were instantly communicated via color and plastic form. Thanks for the walk along...👍🏽💥
Ich bin erfreut, beschenkt
Und die ganze schwedische Neuigkeit
Die leichte Buntheit.
Fragil bildet sich Nagelneues
Und läßt sich nicht
Festhalten.
Stockholm der Ort für
Neues.
Im Licht sichtbar, weil selbst
Licht.
Danke
Mary lynn
Very surprising for me that You were pretty critical about the show at Saskia Neuman, but I felt pretty much the same and I liked Your honesty about it. 🙂👍👍
Wow (in particular) Daniel Jensen, thank you, Mary Lynn !!!👏👏
🎉❤
I didn’t know there are so many galleries in Stockholm, its almost civilized area. I just love how you prononce the swedish names. I hope you liked the lingon berries with the meatballs.
They were so good! And yes SO many great galleries
Appreciate you content
Thank you 🙏🏼
Yinka Shonibare is also a Nigerian. It would have been ideal to mention that.
You should take a boat ride with your SL card, its like those monthly buss cards people used in high school in USA. Its a nice joyride, a recommend it its around downtown Stockholm, sort of, kind of around -- T Centralen subway station.
Imagine a hop on and hop off but on boat, a public transportation, so its affordable. $$$$ It includes the bus, tram, train, subway.
Thanks for the suggestion!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Well, a right good video, elegantly filmed from start to finish. I like to play the game Which Artwork Would I Like To Take Home With Me? and this time it has to be the multi-coloured belted skirt by Mette Bjornberg at 12.15. Beautiful and unusual, I think.
That’s a fun game 😊
I really need that piano chord progression in the background to resolve 😩
Mary Lynn, fashion seems to play an important role in your gallery visits. Are you a designer?
What was the materials for the three skirts please? in the 14:8 minutes?
Wall ornaments like on Christmas tree at this point
欢迎来到斯德哥尔摩:)
Looks like IKEA took over the Swedish art scene
Very weak shows.
@@KaRmAs.Corner - I didn't want to be a Debbie Downer but these shows are kind of lightweight.
Harmlos süß
WHY IS IT THAT ABSTRACT ART HAS A KINGS NEW CLOTHES ASPECT TO IT?
all these nice social-democratic painters...
Modern artist = Too much words, so little emotions and talent
