Minecraft: Java Edition (formerly just Minecraft) is the original version of Minecraft, developed by Mojang Studios for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Notch began development on May 10, 2009, publicly releasing Minecraft on May 17, 2009. The full release of the game (version 1.0.0) was on November 18, 2011, at MINECON 2011.
Bedrock Edition (officially subtitle-less; also known as the Bedrock editions, Bedrock versions, or just Bedrock) refers to the multi-platform versions of Minecraft developed by Mojang Studios, Xbox Game Studios, and SkyBox Labs and based on the Bedrock codebase. The latest Bedrock Edition version is 1.18.2.
Although all Bedrock editions are nearly identical, the price[note 1] varies depending on the platform. The Android version costs US$7.49 (£5.41), while the iOS/iPadOS and Fire versions cost US$6.99 (£5.05). The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions cost US$19.99 (£14.45). The Windows version costs US$26.99 (£19.51), and the Nintendo Switch version is the most expensive, costing US$29.99 (£21.68). Well, Minecraft Bedrock Edition have more and unique details that will really improve your gameplay experience while Minecraft Java Edition have simple game mechanics and has more big features that will really really help you a lot. Also Java is easy to customize if you want MCBE features for Java.
( this is only my opinion pls don't take it seriously, I love both of the edition and I would appreciate if the two will have the same quality features and maybe combine into an almost perfect Minecraft. )

Fun fact: bedrock edition allows you to have a wider range of armour. Because you can put multiple dyes in a cauldron to mix the colours(I think it’s only the last 5 you used apply)

Bedrock is juste made from microsoft to make more money ( you have to pay map, skins , texturepack). And a kid is very influenceable so it's easy . And if i make you think that java player are kid, remember that java player are clearly older than bedrock player, just watch videos of minecraft on youtube and you will see ;)

Everyone here is saying that bedrock is more logical. While in so many clips Java is way more logical for example, the one with the golems. The snow golem is made with a regular pumpkin while the pumpkin on his head is carved. And yeah, when you close a trapdoor on your head it DEFINITELY goes through your body. I give bedrock the one with redstone on path blocks and the one with the dyed sheep and many others. Just pointing some things out here. Play whatever version you want and please don’t be an asshole and say the other one sucks.

1:10 bedrock may have a cooler way of getting tipped arrows, but Java can get you 8 of them with one potion, whereas bedrock’s cauldron requires you to use 3 potions for 4 arrows.
