    If you have a scroll saw you can make the full cut nonstop without all the drilled holes, but one at the tip of the blade slot will make the turn around easier if you aren't accustomed with making tight turns. I'd only use a 1/16" bit and you could drill the corners of the ferrule cutout as well for the same reason. Everything will be much neater.
    Says an old scroll sawyer! LOL

    Note your cabinet screws have a flat back that doesn't split wood as the brass screw with the "wedge" cone shape head that can split wood.
    I'm pleased with the project except the screw selection
    I'm rethinking to O ring that model with the door and not using the pin system as lock.
    You can I'd each tool by painting the tool shape on the lids and select tool type with different colors on box lids for I D of the selected knives
    Thanks 👍for your teamwork

    Weirdest thing... Just came across this project after purchasing one to start to learn how to make spoons. It was in it's carborundum box in the bottom of my pack pack. I forgot and jabbed my hand down looking for my phone and sliced my hand pretty bad as it came out of the cardboard box.... Stupid mistake. Then I happened to come across this. Wish I could but one since I don't have these tools... Lol. Oh well. Awesome video by the way. Great idea!!

    GREAT VIDEO... A question: around the 23:13 mark Mr. Lee has a knife in hand while talking about cleaning up the slot created by the coping saw... that knife, It looks like a modified mora companion... is that right? it's a genius way to create a slyod style blade, if it is...

    • @Zedoutdoors
      @Zedoutdoors  Před 4 lety

      Thank you kindly, indeed it's a Mora but it's their carving range that has a plastic handle as opposed to a wooden one ~Peace~

    • @LeeStoffer
      @LeeStoffer Před 4 lety

      Hi Woodchuck, yeah it's a carbon steel mora clipper that I ground the spine away on to give it more of a carver profile. Then I found out they made the ones Zed mentions which would have been the easier option!
