Greg mentioned how music presented by the Nazis became a spectacle rather than the sacred entity which all music lovers know it was never intended for. But a music lover will never be fooled because they are attuned to the subtleties of expression. They can hear if truth or deceit is being sounded. One day we will learn that it is only through music education that we can know if we are being shown truth or fiction.

Wonderful talk! Thank you! Including the soundbite was a crucial point for initiation, I found. The point is, initiation still is a challenge today, even with all music available to us at a click. It might even be more difficult today, I don't know. Back in the day I had to go to the library and listen through tons of music that didn't speak to me until I found what does. This is very difficult to pull through alone. Just listening to someone talk and share the experience of music-making itself, like Lonnie does here, I think makes a big difference to the possibility of initiation: czcams.com/video/HjiZWzeMl1w/video.html
