- In part 1 of our Ultimate Callout Challenge series, Todd takes us through what it took to rebuild the race truck, talks about the new triple turbo mechanical diesel engine, and what happened at the drag strip. All said and done, we would say UCC 2019 was a success for us!
We wanted to do a full length feature but it takes too long to edit so here is installment #1. Check out part 2 here: • Triple Turbo Cummins W...

"I blew it up " That's an understatement. You DESTROYED IT.
"DESTROYED IT"...... I don't think that even describes it properly.......:-)
Ucc 2019 was great! Power driven diesel did awesome. Enjoyed filming everything!
Was good event was there watching it everyday
I thoroughly enjoy how you're putting your trip to UCC as a series type of videos. I equally enjoy that you guys are sharing what ALL happens at the event from human error, to mechanical error, to lending another team your time and knowledge. That's what the sport is about and it's nice to see you guys as well as many other crews helping their "competition" when coming behind adversity
I like how one competitor is pissy about you showing up 4 minutes late to qualify, but then you have another competitor in your trailer, and you guys are helping him rebuild his trans for the next day. Says a lot about the other guys character and yours. Good on you guys, love your truck, and your channel.
Great to see your truck back, there should be a 15 minute window in the lanes to encourage racers, not discourage people from wanting to race, as everyone has a bad day eventually, I know they wouldn’t be happy if it was them in your shoes, great work guys, team spirit and helping racers 👍🇦🇺
If there's a 15 minute window, then what about when someone shows up 5 minutes after that? Do you let them race? Where's the line?
@@Grayswandiir The line would be 15 minutes in that case...
I would have made a pass on the street. People suck.
O man ive been waiting. I watched them with turbatom. Cant wait
"We dont know if the trans is hurt"
Still gonna send it!
Will and Todd you are still number 1 in my book!!!
Is this guy the nicest most understanding guy on earth?? I'll tell you Todd, u make me wanna be a better person ..
Love the video - quality is on point!! Can’t wait for part 2!
You guys are a great team, definitely did 1 hell of a job at UCC 19. I was there for the dyno pulls, and Boys let me tell you about the adrenaline from just feeling your truck in the stands. Pretty awesome crew you guys have. Met all of the guys, even sat next to all you guys at the dyno pulls. Pretty cool to talk to you guys. You need to look at your tires folding on the dyno at the time of doing your full pull at max boost. Most narly experience being able to see street tires fold and wave like a drag tire!!! You guys performed phenomenal considering what you have been through the past couple years!!!!
You guys are a great team and always enjoy your videos. No sugar coating anything. Rock on 🤘
It's really refreshing and relatable to see the honesty that you show in your videos. To actually show what went wrong and admit human error is why I keep watching your videos. And I saw your truck pull video which gave me chills. I love that truck!
Great video guys, keep up the good work can’t wait for the part ll
Oh man, I'm pumped for this video series! Keep up the good work PDD!
Man it’s one thing after another with you guys and with all of the time and effort you put in that’s unfortunate. You guys deserve better lol. Best of luck in the future....we’ll be pullin for ya!
Great video can't wait for the next one. I saw your sled pulling on another video awesome pull. I really like how you explain everything that is going on
Wow that organizer must be related to the one for LS Fest West & the Cleetus deal. Speaking of which, Cleetus could use some help on a Cummins in a 4 door Ford he's got!
PowerDrivenDiesel Oh boy please please please do!
@@pddofficial I know time can be limited but if all of you could pull off some sort of collaboration it'd be amazing nothing better than two great channels coming together on a project it always makes for excellent entertainment.
All I got is BADASS! Cant wait for part 2
'WHEN GOOD COMPETITORS, BECOME GOOD FRIENDS', "hey man, can I give you a friend, I mean a hand with that transmission?
Absolutely great video ! You guys are doing an awesome job 💪
BIG like 👍
Really appreciate your videos, guys. Been impatiently waiting for this video. You guys killed that sled pull, and it seemed like that was downplayed. To me, anyway.
So appreciative of the honesty you guys display. The way you guys handle adversity, and the help you provide your competitors, as well as the community at large... Really uplifting.
Great that you helped out a competitor. Good sportsmanship!
That truck is BA. Look forward to more vids
Great job guys. Love the truck
It took almost a year to build my engine 7.0l v8 ferd diesel can't wait to see what you guys do this year for drag racing
Your so calm my drag racing days I did the same I gave my carb to a competitor I was broken down we drove all that way to race in the end I made more friends than enemy without a dow,t u and the crew are the winners
Awesome show and even better to see the truck in person!
The transmission Karma paid off in the sled pull!
Wow! tough day guys. Kudos for helping your buddy/fellow racer/competitor. More reasons to like this sport in general and you guys in particular.
Shame about missing the deadline but you must be doing something right if your competitors are complaining/running scared.
Half of racing is dealing with the gamers. If they can't beat you in the track watch your back.
Maybe you should add a temperature sensor with a big red light to warn over temp so you don't burn transmission up on burnouts or launch
First place is only $5k and they're being that strict? Lame.
Yes!! Been waiting patently
Hell yea the thing is your keeping up with the new technology running a dinosaur keep it up got my support all the way
Now thats sportsmanship!
The video that we were waiting for :D
amazing machine, again, i'm not sure about the level of competitors in the diesel power challenge but would be cool to see you guys there, again, amazing machine
Finally!!!
Awesome video! I need to bring my baby diesel down and let you guys do some work on it someday. :)
have seen footage of your truck pulling. the other channels clearly have an agenda about who they want to show and who gets briefly mentioned.
You guys are awesome the love for the green truck runs deep, I have a red 01 close to stock always battling the bugs and stinks like an old dodge inside and leaks a bunch of oil but it’s my truck. Sucks the way they treated you at the qualifying they should have let you run, I wanna build a motor for mine on a stand something mild mostly for towing heavy, thanks for the content
Looks like y'all had a blast
PowerDrivenDiesel can't wait to see the other videos ....
I'm damn proud of you guys and I agree it is supposed to be about competition and who's the best not 4 minutes especially when rain kills an entire day of testing.
Been a fan of this truck for years. Could not imagine how it feels to be behind the wheel of these trucks making 1000+ my truck makes 760 and i think its a power house 😂😂
Cummins07 try 2000+ hp
@@jasontruman1215 was referring to all the trucks at ucc
Thanks for the vid. Great info. Really sucks they didn't let you run for being 4 freaking minutes late. That's not true competitive sportsmanship. But hey you're climbing to the top. It wouldn't be fun if it'd be easy. Rock on guys.
Love the drive you have, even when you do fuck up it's just straight up that was my fault and after all that to be denied because of 5 mins AFTER you sat there thinking you're fine.
Then helping out other teams, great teamwork for the tranny fixes on yours and others.
,very impressed! Thank
Still waiting for part 2..😬
What size tires do you guys run for drag racing?
Where is sel performance converters from who makes them?
Small world lol, i've bought parts form Donavan's shop in Red deer AB, and I live not far from ponoka (Stettler AB) cool guys for sure.
All I have to say is finally
Awesomeness
What a great attitude not to get upset and name and shame publicly when things appear unfair......you must count to ten a lot!!Great to see your back racing.....more video!!....and some wins!!Oh and as I learned in physics....everything turns into heat......poor transmission absorbing about 1300 kilowatts....4 times....
Stand up guys!
Please post part 2 already
Finally !
Are there any issues running turbos without a filter over them? I'd like to do the same for my weekend Cummins. Sounds way better. Any pros & cons?
@@pddofficial I'll buy one from your site. Thanks for the fast reply.
Hey guys on your bump in. 50 rpm makes a huge difference on how hard it bumps in. I own the smoke missle. We have talked before. But my data logs proved it.boost dont matter.its rpm.
Yeah I think you guys got hosed on the drag racing.I know if I was the winner of the drag racing I would have been upset knowing that I didn't get a chance to race everybody.
I have seen same issues at the track. Drag track. Other types of racing creates brothers not enemies.
Would love to build a truck like this in the UK but not very many diesels racing here
@@pddofficial I know I would like it to be I would like some advice the paccar engine is it any good for tuning. Reason I ask is they are in abundance
Y’all are Fucking awesome I love yall
I was there and we came from South Dakota largely to watch you guys run. I was woundering why you guys pulled up twice and didn't run either time. Very disappointing to hear why they didn't let you run in qualifying.
Hey guys I'd like to do this with you guys
whoever the guy was that was complaining that you were late so you shouldn't drag was just scared he couldn't beat you haha the cummins gave him nightmares haha but yeah its all in the fun of the races in the end screw the money you build to have fun and give people a show and show people what you built so regardless of the amount of money i woulda been arguing to let you race or at-least make a pass for testing i mean come on 4 minutes and they are behind schedule like they couldn't let 4 minutes slide dang thats crappy honestly these tracks need to loosen up a little .. i have had similar things happen at my dirt track i own and i always give them the benefit regardless .. unless they are being stupid about it
That thing purges Money like crazy more like 5 grand everytime it goes down the track compared to 5 grand if you win
cost of doing what we are doing
I have a real good feeling if you wouldn't have hit 3rd so soon you would been in 2nd or 1st place
Please drop the music! The engine IS music!
Is that a 12 valve?
Casey Croney custom race head
@@pddofficial that's neat must create a lot of power
I don't know how more people aren't on this channel. Maybe bit of fun stuff, buy stocker and push it to its limits or something. Cleetus having a diesel now maybe you could jump in an episode with him and show him a thing or two and might get more viewers?
@@pddofficial all the best, enjoying watching the vids and learning more about diesels
OM 606 build plz 💪💪💪
😳
I agree Todd. The event is a big one, people pay to come watch racers of their choice. If it was 6:15, your late.. But 4 minutes????? You guys busted your asses off... Rules are rules I get that but they are obviously scared of the mechanical mafia...
Why only an 8th mile?
Cause these trucks go real fast and that's a lot of weight at a very high speed at the end of a 1/4 mile
Trucks are getting too fast for the class they are in on 1/4 mile.
trucks are getting too fast in the quarter
Everyone is scared
@@FROSTY2588, I agree. Atleast do the top fuel 1/4 mile, 1,000ft
😃👍🏼
71 dodge charger cummins. WTF happened with that?
Working on it now stay tuned
Sure sucks to not get any shakedown passes in 👎👎
I really think you guys have a strong chance at winning it all with a lil more time in the seat at the track🤘 pretty awesome how far you guys have come with the 12v mech power!!
@@pddofficial
Holy begeezus!!! That's INSANE!!!
Freaking crybabies, " oh, well Todd in PDD was late" my 10:35 is awesome.." Not! Unbelievable. Those people finish last and drive a pos... *BABIES* great Job keeping your attitude guys, I would have choice words
@@pddofficial I was going to say they drive a Ford, but I'd get some haters for sure... Lol
PowerDrivenDiesel ahhh for freakin real sparkle bitch....
Rudy's isn't a truck, it's a damn promod.unfair when everyone is racing together with no classes to separate promods from real trucks.
That pro mod had to put points up for dyno and sled pull too if they wanted to win.
That's not a promod lol
Not a pro mod and I’m guessing since it’s a promod that’s why it didn’t win in the drag race
@@andrewnemecek4898 Rudy's did win that portion though... but its definitely NOT a promod lol.
I would of been making test passes on in the street. Thats shitty man. over 5 minutes.
@@pddofficial Thats sucks . That not very sportsman like. A race is the fastest person but some people like to win through technicality's .
Exactly should have let you make a pass. I don't understand why they so strick or acting like assholes. I can imagine all the hard work put into the truck and countless hours planning and thinking about it when your not even around it. The money spent and the effort to come to the event to put on a show for fans just like myself. They should be a little bit more understanding of situations and a few minutes here and there given in some cases should be a standard..
that was a dick move they did not letting you test/qualify like that. damn shame.
It's honestly childish that people cry about others working so hard and bring so many people into the event and even though the event is running late, and you were there eith plenty of time to be in line thry act like that. That's not the racing spirit! And that's part of why I quit seriously dragging. The fact that anyone cries about people getting in line a little late all because then it's less competition for them just tells you that the one crying clearly knows their truck isn't good enough. If it was they would be welcoming competition
Damn. That's pretty shitty. Should have let you at least run. Lame. But I get it.
lmao at your excuse for shifting twice. typical tod.
