How to Install new exterior door - Replacing an old wood door with wider fiberglass door. We upgraded an entryway with a brand-new, low-maintenance, fiberglass door. We enlarged the doorway from 35" to 39" in order to replace a 32" old door with new 36" exterior door. we cut the exterior wall in order to increase the size of the doorway.
