Our girl Sara was really having a "fuck this job" day. The smile she gave when the lady asked "why would you suggest the seafood ravioli?" LoL priceless.
The only reason these places were on the show is because they were losing money and in debt. The reasons are usually painfully obvious to everybody except the clueless owners and managers. Fire the boss. That's what you do in that situation.

I love how he’s so kind and almost protective of the waitstaff. him standing up for the waitress not getting tips seemed like a genuine anger
Because it is. There was one chain restaurant that used to be really big in my country, but then the news ended up revealing a scandal that the entire chain was keeping the tips for the waiters, on top of psychological abuse.
Add on to a political outburst that resulted in riots everywhere, and then the pandemic, and they never recovered. It's sad too, because their food was pretty good.
Customers can complain to a waiter/waitress when food is shit, but even they understand that they're just trying to do their best, and the second they hear a scummy boss is depriving them of their right for tips, oh they riot
In US waitresses literally live off tips (not a joke) and even though Gordon is Scottish I’m sure he understands the struggle having worked in American restaurants. Without tips most waitress’ incomes are unlivable.
Most waiters aren't making livable wages _with_ tips.
That genuine anger, shut down that restaurant. They absolutely tanked after they fought Gordon every step of the way.

Yup. Plus Gordon relies on the wait staff for help when eating at these restaurants because he knows they'll be honest with him about the restaurants' problems in a way the owners won't.
Imagine being mad at your serving staff for promoting your special. If you don’t want to sell it, don’t put it onto the menu
They can also do this cause you know they arnt lasting long from finding a new job or they get fired and they get payed for unlawful firing like the girl who got basicly kicked out and called a poisons viper
I would do Sara
@@PSPTSHT LOL
Gordon: "Take off the name tag."
Every server: *say less*
Frr 😭
The way they went :D every time he asked for their badges
They were DELIGHTED 😂
I loved bill reaction
I wonder how hard it was for them to not throw the badges in desperation to get rid of them
@@multistanlifeishard1665 yes....also yes it is hard being a multistan but hey!..atleast I've got ton of birthdays
13:47 That was probably the first time Gordon has ever said "Come here you" and have it be a playful and friendly toned one instead of the usual "I'm about to make you regret being born" sort of tone.
The thing is, at every place I've worked (and I've been lucky to work with almosy entirely great teams), the banter between the chefs and the servers is the best. We give each othet as good as we get and constantly have a laugh.
I respect their skill in the kitchen and they respect our ability to stay calm and spin even the craziest customers.
Gordon clearly feels that relationship very clearly, which makes sense since he's entirely self made as a chef workong up from the bottom, its always a joy to see how he treats the wait staff.
I love Sara because they get mad at her for the "betrayal" of advertising the seafood ravioli, meanwhile they're the ones who kept it on the menu despite knowing it was bad.
Not even just in the menu either.....in the bloody specials!
exactly. the whole time i was thinking if they got so many complaints why didn’t they just take it off the menu
Isnt that sara the one who stole tips from otger wait staffs tables though? Shes being sung as a hero in the comment but im sure i remember her stealing tips.
Yo... what?! When did that happen??
Sara was feeling devilish that day and I'm all for it. 👑
the shit eating grin Sara does to Rita while she talks about selling Gordon the ravioli from 4:56 - 5:06 is something Tarantino could never capture in video LMFAO
She seems like she would be a fantastic actor, honestly
@@Yosef9438 considering she’s a waiter with a thick accent, she might as well be
She did that out of pure spite and I love it
Lol I’m cracking up at that evil genius grin!!
she’s so evil i had to laugh
I love it when the servers give Gordon the dirty run down of what’s goin on. They get payed either way and they are ready to see that restaurant burn to the ground 😂
Love to see him having fun and spilling the tea with the staff. They know what's up in a restaurant
