It really just goes back to the uncanny valley and how William in that photo looks like a creature imitating a human. On top of that, Cory’s yelling made it worse and the AI voice repeating “Criminal” as it gets louder and louder. I couldn’t sleep for 2 months after this and still in 2023 that face haunts my mind every now and then despite the amount of memes that have been made about it.
