It's awesome that you're speaking up about this Jay! CZcams 100% has favoritism and it's ridiculous that they're targeting Corey negatively. Like you said he does so much to make sure that his videos are accessible to everyone, he even censors out curse words in games. I really hope they respond to him and begin to treat everyone fairly.
And yeah as a smaller channel with no CZcams rep, it's absolutely horrible to get an age restriction. They literally give you no reason why and like you said it completely kills the momentum of the video. I wish it was like copyright claims were they mark where the issue is.

It's like being in a relationship, there needs to be communication. If there isn't then everything falls apart. As someone who doesn't watch Cory's content I still feel like he's a good creator. My brother's watch his videos every day and not once have I seen or heard anything bad on his channel. So it breaks my heart to see this happen to anyone...

I'm so glad to see so many creators supporting Cory in this. CZcams has been going downhill for awhile now but this is ridiculous. U can't fix what isnt acknowledged, so how do they expect creators to make content that isnt going to b flagged when they dont know what the problem is

It feels like favoritism amongst CZcams has been going on for a while and it's started to go noticed when one amazing talented man spoke out about it which is good. CZcams needs to get their shit together and treat everyone on the platform fairly, Cory did not nor did he ever deserve this kind of treatment. It's fucked, it really is

I think you also missed the point too. It doesn't only affect Cory, it affects most content creators that aren't "favorites". Favoritism affects all content creators whether it's good or bad and that's something else he and Cory have spoken on. We're not saying he's awesome just because. In fact a lot of us were there when Cory first mentioned this a few years ago when it hadn't gathered speed. So tell me how all of thos is focusing on the wrong thing when they're both talking about the same thing. Jay can't exactly relate to the racial issue but other creators of color can so if people support them too are they also "focusing on the wrong thing"?

jay is so real for this. im so glad that my favorite youtubers whom i watch everyday since i was a kid are not only funny as hell but are all g's and educated. i learned so much things from jay and cory. this is a really sad thing to happen. we were all happy that cory's back but youtube really ruined it all. i hope youtube will explain about this.

An unpopular opinion was " CZcams was better when it was a hobby" . This platform was more of an hobby to other creators who made their videos at time when ads never existed. Now they're flagging other creator for doing next to nothing and using age restriction as to harass those creator who they don't favor. I don't know if this is exactly an unpopular opinion, at least I've heard it times and times. A lot of people took YT as a hobby, but a whole bunch used it to launch their career. I guess there's a part of nostalgia that comes in, but YT was certainly not as clogged with such drama back then. But hey then again back in 2009/2010, I remember that free speech was far more "free" than today, because it's only a matter of ads and kids... Who aren't even supposed to be on the plateform...

One of my many problems with all of this random bs age restriction is that, isn't there a WHOLE DIFFERENT APP for kids? CZcams should mainly focus on that rather than this because content creators let their audience know that their channel isn't for kids. I personally hate the bot system with all of this because it just shows laziness from CZcams and the fact that nothing can be wrong with the video but shown for like a split second can have that whole video age restriction, to me shows laziness and disrespect from CZcams's part. I feel like because of this horrible new system, it takes away the creativity and imagination side of CZcams which is sad.
Anyways, it's nice seeing Jay, Jack, and so many others having Cory's back and are now speaking up against CZcams because it's totally understandable they were hesitant before to speak out because like many said, CZcams is a big company and tries to cover up the shit they've done wrong and it's just very wholesome to see everyone coming out and giving their two senses! ❤️

I’m so glad Jay is speaking out about this, I have been seeing this a lot in other platforms and there’s people like me that try to speak out and maybe get the platform’s attention but we don’t. So maybe if people with bigger influence speak out about it a change might be done. It’s unfair and it needs to be talked about, the people who have to go through this deserve an explanation

I remember a time when CZcams had the slogan 'Broadcast Yourself'. I once wanted to become a CZcamsr, despite my shyness and low resources for recording. Now, I just don't think it's worth the effort. Especially when stuff like this happens. Their censorship, the double standards, their favoritism and racism, amongst everything else that's wrong with this site is what deters people from truly creating what they want to create. This also ties with the mention of not having a rep to help someone out should something like this happen to them.
I'm proud of our Shogun, and I'm proud of all the others that are speaking out about this. Maybe in the future, this issue can be resolved, and perhaps we can one day broadcast ourselves once again.
Yes you are totally right. I grew up on CZcams dreaming that I could be like Cory and Jay(and others) for some of the young ones and things like this are what make me change my mind. CZcams needs to fix their shit
The day we can broadcast ourselves is the day the company gets rid of the suzan, ever since she took over everything went to shit and nothing got fixed. There were issues before her, but nothing was even remotely close to what's taken place since she got her position.
And I have yet to see any racism, what Ive seen in the decade I've been on the platform, since she's taken over, is this kind of thing happening to everyone that isn't a cash cow for CZcams.
i have so much respect for both Jay and Cory wishing this situation. Being able to risk all your hard work to speak out on what you think is wrong/right is such a brave thing and i will always look up to both of them.

For this subject, I had this feeling for a long time that CZcams always had some sort of prejudice going on. Everyone deserves equality and it is not fair how people are being treated. With CZcams going like this, as for every company, there will be a halt. There needs to be change.
