- My new EFI system arrived, so I took a few days to get it installed. Other than the missing kickdown lever on the carb it's a great system.

Tuned in since I'm in process of redoing the 750 carb, or something, on my 67 Mercury Cyclone GT with 390. You persevered and overcame obstacle after obstacle, an inspiration to us all. Congrats! And based on your vid and comments here it is working out fine for you, very glad to hear it!! : )
Sometimes the value of these mods vids is to show the warts and all and help you decide is this really what you want to do and go through the hassle of a "stem to stern" mod just to get it to start nicely. I have had that already with my electric fuel pump, but I need to either rebuild or buy a new carb for 500 bucks, due to age and leaking of the carb. So, thanks for the insights here, and I decided I may not need a whole new fuel system for 2 grand after all, plus being jerked around, like you showed by Holley, with little bits of extras to make it work properly. Is this EFI thing "Marican made, or "Over the Pacific" made?
I believe the Holley Sniper Stealth works with the kickdown levers.
Edit: I checked. Yes the Stealth version of the sniper is the one you should have picked. On Holley's website: "Did we mention that the Stealth 4150 also includes transmission kick down provisions for GM TH350/400, 200R4/700R4 and Ford C4/C6 applications."

Nice choice with the efi. Get the transmission with the OD option for gas milelage as well. lol Love this ride though man. Very cool. Oh ya, you have to watch the cars like this one where somebody has popped in another engine to make sure they don't have a fuel line too close to the manifold so the gas gets vaporized. Good thing with the sniper set up is you're constantly maintaining a pretty even gas temp because of the fuel pump cycling the gas up and back to the tank... but ya watch out for the too narrow fuel lines constricting and so unable to maintain a fuel pressure that will carry the car through all the different fuel consumption scenarios... blah blah blah lol Sorry I typed too much.
Before moving timming u got 2 shut of timming control on hand held, once timming set put back on

Did you check out the carb cheater kits? Under $400 and you could have kept your carb.

Any updates on how the Sniper EFI is working out for you after a month?
It's been great so far. The default tuning is pretty fuel heavy, but updating the target AFRs and timing through the handheld has leaned it up a bit.

Not sure why you are timing the car. You have a hyper spark ignition. It’s self timing.
You could’ve driven the car.
First of all you need more performance car friends you mentioned a little oil in the area of your headers and headers are a go to performance mod but you don't have them you have factory original exhaust manifolds It's a really good looking car you might want to look into them headers cause those manifolds are an eyesore
I liked this video until you started having a extended cry over $250. Imagine working on cars and not everything is perfect 😅
