Here's another thing you should ALL know about Freddie: During his last days, he was a fucking superstar of a man. During a recording session for what would be their last album, Freddie's health took a bad turn, worrying the staff and band mates. They'd suggested he take it easy and that they could finish recording another time. But what did Freddie do? He necked some alcohol, pointed to guy working all the tech and said "Turn the fucking mic on, love.", finishing off the recordings like a man.
That one story always stuck with me and it's one of the many reasons why Queen was a hell of a band, and why Freddie was a hell of a man.

He had one of those old style stands with the heavy round base.
He picked up the mike stand to twirl around, and the base fell off.
Instead of stopping to put it back in; he carried on, and a trademark was born.

I got to know about Freddie Mercury and Queen last night(I’ve been living under a rock) because of Rami ofc. And after quick google search I knew most of these facts.
Correction: India was not under British rule since 1947.
Freddy was born in Zanzibar but he lived in India Bombay till the age of 16 and then Moved back to Africa.
Freddy has all his cousin and relatives still living in Bombay.
Rest is obvious....
Freddie was born in 1946, so it was under British rule at the time.
